[My] Life in Wisconsin

HIGH WATER!

Good Morning!!!

"Friends, Romans, Countrymen! ~~~ Lend me your ears!"

hehehe

(Oh I had to stick something in here regarding the "Ides of March" )...
Happy Birthday Pea? hehehe

Having fallen asleep earlier, I am up and at 'em right now; but I do not think for too long anymore either. (Pity the poor fool who tries to figure out my sleeping cycles)! Been up since about midnight... (Would whomever changed my back to sandpaper and grit please change it back now)?

It has been warming up, or at least TRYING to.

...And yes, is causing a bit of a problem right down the road...

.

.

OK. Not the 'bestest' picture I ever shot, but you get the idea...
.
.
(I took it backwards out of the window as I had a semi coming at me in the other lane).

.

.

.

.

This what I had just driven through

.

.

.

.

The river by me, (about 1/2 mile west of this) is way back in the woods... And down about 200 feet, so thankfully, I do not have any flooding problems where I am at.

.

.

.

.

This part is usually only about 5' across... on the rocks on a warm day...

.

Perhaps if the floes would melt a bit faster the rest of the barricades would be able to be swept away...
(You can't tell, but that floe is about 8" thick)...

.

.

"Birdseed Mountain"
.
.
.
The snowbanks as they melt leave a myriad of beauty, unreplicated anywhere else...

.

.

.

.

.

And last years beauty will soon be replaced by greenery of all sorts... (Even weeds)!
.
.
.
.
This years lilacs threaten to bud and bloom too early...

.

.

.

These lilacs came from Virginia Ryan, our neighbor, who originally got them from my mother! The Ryans had an entire beautiful wall of lilacs inbetween their home and the farmland, but Ginny said the ones up by her house were the ones from Mom. Very cool! She had given me some shoots from those plants shortly before she'd passed. They are finally taking root and growing here... Again... But now that it will once again be turning colder, I am afraid that the buds will freeze and I won't have any lilacs this year... Oh they smell like a piece of heaven!

Speaking of Heaven in little pieces... I do hope you have all had the opportunity to read my last two blogs... yes, there is still much more to say, and more photos (and I have so many questions too)... And am thinking that many of you can help me out with those...

.

.

.

Casey stopped out the other day. The melting snowbanks presenting a real problem for Miss Punk... Who had accused Miss Casey of stealing and hiding her bone...

.

.

.

.

"Where is my bone??? ~YOU DID IT!!!~ I just KNOW it!"

.

.

.

Casey tried to show her where to look...
.
.
.
Do you think it's "here"???
.
.
.
"OK, I'll Look..."
.
.
.
Maybe it's over here then....

.

.

.

.

.

HA! I found it!!!
.
.
.
Back OFF, Baby! It's MINE!!!
.
.

.

.

.

Hard to believe that this little girl (and her sisters and brothers), will be a whole year old on the 27th already!!! Where has the time gone?

And time has flown by this early morning too... So I should close for now...

Have cleaning to do, some wash... (WAY TOO MUCH MUD)! And maybe a trip to Walmart too... We shall see...

I hope you all are having a grand morning!!! Enjoy the Springtime!

XOXO
Anne
