G-g-g-good M-m-morning!
hehehe
No, I have NOT gone outside yet today.
Miss Milly came in, (against her own better judgement), as soon as I got done plowing the yard out last night. I think that was about 9:00...
But even then I was still warm. Doubled up on the socks, a muffler, my snowpants (which gratefully are about 26 sizes too big and accomodate 2 pairs of pants underneath)!
Hehehe... ~Can you say "Bumble"???

When I had gone up north, I had forgotten my gloves. I stopped at a leather goods store and bought a decent pair of them - again, 2 sizes too big so I could put the other gloves on inside of them. Toasty warm!

The only traffic on the road last night (mostly) traveled quite slow; not willing to see who would win in this "man~against~nature" thing we have going on right now. But every now and then a snowmobile flew right down the road, about 80 mph too. (Show offs)! hehehe
No, that is not legal; but given the weather, and the condition of the roads etc etc etc, I surely understand WHY they chose to go from Point A to Point B on the road too.
Besides, what would I care what goes down the road while I am clearing the snow out there? As long as they don't decide to hit me. (I would hate to have that Cub Cadet get ruined)...

I'd put The Punk in the kennel with Mama Milly while I plowed... Mama Milly not wont to be sharing her warmed house with her offspring, but Punk just stayed out of the wind for the most part. And yes, she was fine. In addition to the 2+ bags of red cedar chips and an old sleeping bag in Millys insulated dog house, there is also a layer of cedar chips outside of it. I saw Punk just staying there, watching the snowmobiles, on the trails; and barking her fool head off with the ones that dared go down the road. Funny to see.

Also very funny to see was when the police helicopter had flown over on Wednesday afternoon. We hear the 'thud~thud~thuds' of the rotary blades well before we see it.
Playing outside with Mama Milly, Punk stops,
(and with every available strand of fur standing straight up).
A very low, (and very p-r-o-l-o-n-g-e-d), menacing growl; as she looks down the driveway, then out to the field.
*In the meantime I am trying to direct her attention to the skies.
Tough call for a dog, especially as the thudding echoes off any/all buildings.
She ran in circles, growling all the while...
.

.
...And she suddenly hightails straight back to the woods! Jumping over drifts, spraying snow 6 feet out, and even plowing the snow with her nose! By this time, the chopper is almost directly overhead. Now that she is away from the buildings, she hears it from only one direction, and comes racing all the way back to the house...
Finally spying it in the sky, she even tried to jump!!!

.

(Nope, that doesn't work either)!

All the while Mama Milly, being the outside dog that she is, could not have cared less. I literally had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard!

My reading this morning.
Not my picture though...

With our windchills right now in the high teens below zero...

.

.

The week has been unending as we all await the final playoff game between the Packers and The Giants here at Lambeau on Sunday.

.

Snapped this picture on the way to Robertas dental appointment.

.

But the area will not be so abandoned for long. Imagine that even yesterday the national sports stations were all setting up their equipment. If they were smart anyway, they would have set up yesterday; (knowing the deep freeze would begin last night).
