Labor Day 2009 (Better Late Than Never)...

Good Morning All;
Playing "catch~up" once more...
But still haven't wound down from that spectacular game last night either!  What a way to start the season! 
Go GREEN BAY! Whoo~Hoo!
For those of you who caught my blip about my dish~tv, my apologies for my sassy mouth. hehehe
But "sheesh" already!  Channel 26 in Green Bay is the absolute worst of all stations too. They will NEVER post a little ticker that says, "we are aware of the problem..."  Guess that is asking too much. And if they change programing? Forget it. You are on your own.
To answer Beep... I didn't stomp my feet. But I sure did cuss.
And that, in addition to the darned game!

Poor little Punk...
She has finally gets over last years Packers Season, (and the Tourette's Syndrome that I develop during football), and up starts another year. 
She slaughtered a moth last night- sometime during the 3rd quarter-
Then looked to me as if to say, "ALL that noise for one little moth?!"


Back to Labor Day.

I lit the fire with one little match!  How very cool! 
Miss Ashley had helped me with the kindling-
Perhaps that is why it worked so well!

Before the day itself, Casey and their friend Brad got to weedwacking and clearing the fire pit. As a tribute to my back, this is the first time this pit has been used this year. They had their work cut out for them...

They had a great drying day as well,
so all the weeds met with the burn barrel fate.

I made the beans and the potato salad- And had bought the wieners too. I made a few dips and other stuff... Salsa, and some chili beer con queso too.

But no energy leftover for me after all that.

Kelli and Tim brought the pups- Poor Tim had to hold onto Miss Coco all afternoon.

After being grumpy for a bit, he cheered right up.  Let's face it, there was food and dogs. What more does a man need?

The kids picked some pears and apples and plums, filling a few bags of goodies. (Which reminds me that I have to call Sue and Glenn to come get some more of their special deer food).

Afterward, we headed inside for a while- Janet helping Casey to bag everything up. (And me plunking down on the couch and staying there for the rest of the night).

My nephew Brandon is a rap artist. Unsigned yet, the contracts he has been offered not good enough.  At 17, he is not only talented, but quite patient with all the legal things too.  He has a brilliant mind, (and can rap, shooting from the hip). 
I have never cared for rap music.  But wow, he is good! And if I only had to listen to him, then rap would be just fine with me!

I'd better close for now and get moving here. To be in the mid 80's this afternoon. I have that spine man appointment then...
Must get Miss Punk outside now before she gets too pent up. (That Tourettes thing just gets her all upset). hehehe
