[My] Life in Wisconsin

A Rose, by Any Other Name?

Good Morning All!

Kind of a different picture, and was going to even post it upside down to see what else it might resemble; other than the obvious... (which, to me would be some kind of dinosaur)... Perhaps I should post it sideways?

Hmmmm....

I hear that rabbit tastes an awful lot like chicken. (Actually I have had many meals of rabbit meat, and it tastes an awful lot like rabbit to me)... But that said, now there is a new twist on that one as well...

.

Rabbit tastes an awful lot like beef!
hehehe
Um... you DO see it, ...don't you???

.

.

But the good news is this... It didn't taste like the creature responsible for this hole...

.

.

Pepe Le Piew has taken up residence about 100 yeards from the house on the side of the pumpkin field!

.

.

Not too much of a problem in and of itself for me; but I COULD live happily without the sinus~cleaning I get each evening about 11 or so... hehehe (And I really DO hope it is the Mrs. that has done this because I sure would like to see her "kittens")... No, I will NOT be lifting that tail to check! But mayhaps I should be adding some tomato juice to my shopping lists just in case one of the dogs decides it might be interesting to check this creature out!

HEHEHE... Casey has also decided to stay in town... I am thinking that perhaps she sleeps a bit better without that odor ~ so remini"scent" of a rose!

I shall christian that skunk "Rose"....

I have had many welcomed visitors over the past few days; and even a lady that came to pick the beans! Having to feed a family of 8, I can share my little garden with her very easily because at one time I fed that many too!

Duane came to visit early Sunday morning; having just a wild hair to go for a ride. He lives near to Milwaukee, and at least the weather was nice on the ride up. Later in the day the temps had gone up near 100. Too hot for me! He'd left before noon, so he beat the worst of it on the ride home.

It was too hot for Master Gabriel too... He decided that it was too hot to even wear a diaper. He'd woken up from his nap, DRY, and had removed it... (Leaving us to do the wash from the playpen). Oh well.

***NOTE: Orb picture of Gabriel with shirt on and diaper removed at MY discretion. (ANYTHING private had already been painted out of said photo anyway).

He is so close to being um... "housebroken"?, and is getting a grip on the whole idea. (But methinks the diaper should stay on until there is a potty chair closeby)...

.....
The flowers are blooming...

And we will have sweet corn before we know it too!

No other news...

...except for the fact that I broke my furnace. (And yes, I even managed to accomplish this on the very hottest day of the year)! hehehe

Only I could do such a thing!

But here's the scoop... I have the window a/c on in the living room when it gets that hot, and to stir the air up I always go down and turn the fan on, on the furnace... Doing this Sunday morning, it ran for about 5 minutes before it began making this awful (banging, crashing, booming), noise... And I had to go down there to shut it off. Those were a nasty 30 seconds or so; me not knowing was it on fire or what??? Olsons will be here to fix it at some point.

Miss Punk then had to find a different place to be comfy; and even picked the smartest place!
She surely does LOVE that little fan...

It took about 3 days, but it has finally cooled down to more acceptable Wisconsin degrees. As I type it is 56 degrees; and the high today will be mid~70's.

I can live, HAPPILY, with that.

Casey has her appointment with the dental surgeon tomorrow morning to finally remove her eye tooth that had grown in so very crooked. It never did 'right' itself. And Friday will find her back at the dentists to make plans to fill in that little gap that will be left. She has surgery for her endometriosis scheduled for bright and early Monday morning (at a Green Bay hospital even). Please keep her in your prayers. Chidren are very important to her and Derek, so do not be surprised should that wedding get moved up a bit. hehehe

It is time for me to fly and be a bit productive to earn my keep. I have been battling a schtoopid migraine for two days now and am tiring of it quickly... Maybe today it will go away.

Hope you all have a grand Wednesday!!!

XOXO
Anne
