"Buddy" is a Wino!

Good Morning!

I received a phone call last night from my sister Mary...And find that I am still laughing at our conversation too-   She had finished up supper; and after relaxing a bit with a glass of wine,  she had picked up a few things in the kitchen...  As she went back to her glass, it was a bit less full than it had been before; as she caught Buddy in the middle of helping himself!  Gee, I wonder if he has a touch of a headache this morning?   A dog with a hangover!  Absolutely funny to hear about...  "Mmmm, Yap!"    (Buddy is the pup on the right in the above photo with Milly and Punk)...

And I would have sworn it had been Punk that had done the imbibing- She was SO tired last night-

And lots of fun playing hide and seek with her mother too...

A wonderful sunny (and 60 degree) day here-  And since my 'Pack' was trying their level best to make me hyperventilate, we all were outside and enjoying the weather.

Perhaps they should take lessons from my Little Miss Valerie...

Image

I took that picture around the end of August-

But lookee- A 'double' touchdown for her!!!

Jenne, Isaiah and CaseyAnne were here after mass- (and after doing a bit of shopping for me)- A bit of french toast, some bacon- and potatoes, and the energy levels peaked. As Punkies did too!  She has been sleeping for the most part for about the last 12 hours!

Jenne, finding herself in a bit of a quandary at the moment, as her ex has now reneged on his permission to allow her to take Isaiah to Texas with her- so she can get married... What to do?

Any legal (or otherwise devious), words of wisdom for this crazy s(h)ituation ???

Her ex is drunk and belligerent, (and has children in all 4 corners of the U.S. too).   He has walked away from all of them without a backward glance- WHY do parents DO this anyway? (And HOW can they walk away from their own flesh and blood)???  I will never understand...

Please wish Jenne well on her interviews too- She has a flight out this Friday to go down for a few potential jobs ...   (I did tell her it is time to put a call in to her attorney- all should work out fine then).

No Roberta, and no Zoe yesterday, which ultimately means no Gabriel and no Valerie either... (Girls)?     Image    (I do hate withdrawals from my kids and grands)...

On top of those withdrawals, I am also battling the 1st migraine of the week... Crap. (So, what else is new)?

Having posted my question to you on 'the topic of topics', I will be posting my own little experiences with hauntings and other related spiritual things.  Soon anyway...   Maybe I shall do that tomorrow, instead of harping on my poor unsuspecting friends to get out and vote? Hopefully I have no apathetic friends here...

And yes, I'm sick of all the negative campaigning too...

Barf. Barf. Barf....   ad nauseum....

Have a grand Monday- (if there IS any such thing to begin with)...

-And I shall get my enigmas blog on my mind today...

In the meanwhile, you can read my highlighted entry entitled:    "Deja Vu? Afterlives? Spirits? Hauntings?"

Please feel free to leave me a comment on there if you haven't already done so-   (Am I weird, or what)???    ...Never mind, don't answer that-  (I already KNOW what you're thinking)!!!

Happy Monday!

XOXO

Anne!

Punk #2 'It's ME again, Margaret!'

***I apologize for reposting this from 2006, but for some reason it did not transfer correctly.
As you can imagine, Punk was very upset.

ARF!!! Yup it's ME, Punkie- Having to do EVERYTHING once more... as "SHE" is too busy to be bothered by this today-

She is all excited about seeing some "Lawrence" character. She says he will love me, but I don't know... Maybe if I jump up real fast when I meet him, (I'll get a good running start), and knock him down and lick his face all over he WILL like me. But she says I mustn't do that- (She sure can be a real killjoy sometimes).

All I know about this Lawrence is that he is her grandbaby, and that she misses him real bad sometimes. (And I know this is true because every now and then I hafta go sit on her lap when she gets misty-eyed looking at his picture on the wall)...

She says I am NOT a lap dog, but there are many times that I have proved her wrong- REAL wrong!
Like the time I had brought her a toy to play with- (One of my very own most favorite toys I might add)... I saw her sitting there, across the living room; and so I ran and jumped right into her lap. It was great fun when the whole chair went over backwards- and I know she had fun too because she just kept laughing and laughing.
I wasn't entirely sure why the world had tipped over, and so I just sat there... I could hear her trying to say something, but I couldn't understand her words because I was laying right on top of her face. But she sounded so funny that I just didn't move one teeny bit! She hollered at me later- something about me trying to kill her, and not to ever do it again...
...But I still think that one day I might, and just because she had laughed so darned hard! (And I DO like to make her happy)!

She told me that we are leaving tomorrow- (I think that is after it gets dark again)... Already my little orange bag is packed with all of my treats and such.
I saw her check her purse for some little pills that she gives me so I don't throw up in her car... They just put me to sleep- I will try not to let them make me sleepy this time, because the small one is coming along! Whoo-Hoo!!! We are going to have lotsa fun.

They call it a 'road' trip- (but isn't that where they always drive)? Sheeeesh...

She said it is a long long ride- and that we will stay overnight somewhere before we even get there- Her and me did that already when we went up to the big waters- one that she called Michigan and the other was Superior-
And then we had gone that place where I swam -over my head- on Sugar Island. (They lied though; cuz I LQQKed all over, and there wasn't any sugar there at all)!

The little one said that SHE wants to sit in my seat for this road trip... And that's NOT FAIR! Now I gotta go sit in the back, and I don't wanna. I will just have to go sit on the little ones lap! That'll teach 'er!

...I tried to do that the other day and they BOTH hollered at me-
She said that KC was hurting real bad and that I couldn't go by her like that... Well, if she would just stop going to her vet- (er, I mean her 'doctor'), then she wouldn't be hurting like that in the first place! Duh, she was FINE before they made her go to sleep- and then they cut some of her insides out, and then stuck some hoses in her side...

The last time I went to see my own doctor, HE took some of MY insides out too! So I know what that feels like- and so I left her alone... (mostly anyway)...

That little one went back to her own apartment yesterday afternoon- (whatever THAT's supposed to mean?)...
I only know that I looked all over to find her- (and a whole bunch of times too), and that little one wasn't here- ANYWHERE... but at least I will get to see her tomorrow...

They kept talking about 'snow' too. Now I don't know what that is, but they were talking about shoveling it. Now I DO know that when she has a shovel it is always on the outside, and that is all that matters to me. So whatever snow is, I will like it a LOT! And I will get to go outside then!

I had to go outside this morning though- and what a shock to my paws- It was really cold! So I wasted NO time at all getting back inside- And I was still cold so I went back to bed. She has a nice warm waterbed, and I just love to sleep on it. She said something about having to wash the quilt- Great! And just when I had made it all mine, with all my hair all over it too. It's mine, mine, mine! And I steal it from her when she is sleeping, and keep turning around to get it just so nice around me, but then she wakes up and always steals it back... So that's ok, then I go lay on her pillow- and she tries to keep me away from that too!
What the heck???
Am I not her best friend???

And she does the weirdest thing too- I had meant to write about this before, but I forgot.

SHE TAKES ALL OF HER FUR OFF!
And NO, I am NOT kidding!!!
Then she gets to go in the waterfall every day and play around with the slippery thing- She called it 'soap'- I wasn't sure what it was, so I grabbed it in my mouth- Man, how can she even stand to touch that thing??? It was just AWFUL! Blahhhcccchhhhhhhh!!!!! Just really BAD- I dropped it right away- and she laughed at me! What a weirdo...
Then listen to this, when the waterfall is all gone, she puts different fur on!
Maybe I would like to try that one day too. When the waterfall is all gone for me, I have to get rubbed up with 3 different towels- I keep thinking this is FINALLY going to be my new fur, but NO... and I am stuck in the same old fur all the time! (Again, I must say this is NOT FAIR to me at all)!

I'd better get going here- She is wanting to eat some of her own chow; and I have to have a bite or two also... (If I bug her long enough, she will always share what she has- and it's a far cry tastier than what she makes me eat all the time)!

I was looking through her pictures on here, and found a whole bunch that I like- ones of me and all of my brothers and sisters- (She tells me everyone is doing well- but THAT BUDDY)!
I am putting up this picture on so my brother Buddy, can see that MY stick is bigger than HIS!

His story is also called "Boys will be Boys" and it is in her highlighted blogs if the link here doesn't work- Oh and my other blog is also highlighted in case you missed it--- it's called ARF! Punk #1

(Hey, I'm just a puppy for pity sakes, I don't know how to do this- maybe one of these links will work)...

He is almost all healed up now from his boo-boo-belly and is running around all over again! (His "she" is afraid that he will eat another one, and she watches him all the time now) I don't think he will, that HADDA hurt- A whole LOT!
(You can see his WAY littler stick- and the story about what happened to him on the page at the bottom...

I have to go or she will eat her food all gone- I am here to make sure she doesn't do that- She might eat too much and they'll have to take something out of HER next time- and if that ever happens I will be all alone!

So anyway, I am going to have fun with this Lawrence person- She said he is almost 7- and right now that's the same as me- cuz I'm 7 too... (But I don't know what 'months' and 'years' are either?)... I can't wait to find out!!!

Love- and many many special facelicks -for everyone!!!

Punkie!

PS

Please, Please, PLEASE don't click on brother Buddy's story 'til ya leave me a comment... PLEASE?
"She" gets a lot of them comments- and sometimes they really make her laugh- (but she doesn't snort like that other girl). Just that I wanna laugh too!

Boys Will Be Boys..

Boys Will Be Boys...
 magnify

Good Morning;

I have been up since about 1:30am- just doing not too much of anything- Reading some news-

Mary had come up on Thursday with Buddy- He had a fairly large welt on his lower neck that needed a bit of cleaning and she was too wussy to do that herself. I shaved his neck, cleaned him up real good, and sent her home with some of my special salve to put on it.

Punkin, Buddy and Miss Milly played together for almost an hour before Miss Milly decided to run away again. I sure wish I knew where the heck it is that she oes when she does this. And so, Mary, Buddy and I jumped in the old Roadmaster to go look for her. (Punk took a nap in front of the fan)! We gave up after not finding her in the woods or at any of the closest neighbors; and of course when we got back here, we were greeted home by none other than Miss Mildred herself! Oh well- She was laying in the corner- in the shade by her kennel-

Gee, had we even looked there to begin with? (Probably not)... Too much on our minds that day between Reianna, Michael coming home for a doctor appointment and her Buddys neck owwie!

Mary had called again late yesterday afternoon- Her son Michael had gone in to the doctor for the recheck on his knee; and also because he was up all night the night before so ill. He had literally been feasting on spinach while at college, (UW-Oshkosh), and now our youngest 'Popeye' was so very sick. And so, she had brought him in for that too- worrying that with the E-coli outbreaks around that his spinach also might have been contaminated... Even though he has shown some of the symptoms, they do not believe it to be e-coli- Perhaps just a bad case of the flu... Hopefully so- By afternoon he was keeping down a bit of water and also a bit of jello-

Such was HER day yesterday--- Until late afternoon that is-

...She had put Buddy outside in her backyard to play for a while- When Little Buddy came in, he wouldn't even eat his supper.

AND THEN HE STARTED THROWING UP TOO! ...

She called me then, wanting to know what the heck kind of flu could possibly be transmitted from humans to dogs in that short period of time?? (Hell if I know)- and she was crying so badly about her poor little pup. Once again, I am no vet. I told her that maybe he had something stuck in his throat- (know what I know now, I never guessed I would be THAT close- or that far away from the truth)! -or maybe he had just eaten some grass and barfed- But no, he kept on barfing... And so I told her to call the vet. She brought him in- and they said to leave him overnight and they would do testing etc... That the doctor would call in about an hour and a half to let her know what was going on...

Fast forward through blood tests, xrays, and over 2 hours later... they called her back. Buddy had an 8" stick in his stomach, and needed emergency surgery to get it out. They said the surgery itself would take about an hour and a half. This was at about 9:45. And so, before I turned down my covers last night I included an extra-special prayer for her little dog too. This prayer list of mine sure gets more than full at times, but there is always room...

Once again the vet had misjudged the timing of it all--- Mary finally called me at 1:30- that the Vet had finally completed the surgery on Buddy... The phone waking me up, (sounding like it was ringing in a distant place and not right next to my bed).

The vet told her he had been wrong about the stick-

...It was a full 18" long!!!!

(I believe that would have killed him in very short order had she NOT brought him in last night)...

Buddy has staples now. And hopefully, with her quick concern, and reactions too, this stick has done no major or permanent damage- the vet didn't think there were any perforations anywhere; but that Buddy will definitely need some real close monitoring for a while. Praise God- (I would have no more little dogs to offer to her at this point and she has grown so attached to her pup).

Poor little guy- was just neutered about 2 weeks ago- and now this...

Yup. Yup. Yup. "Boys will be boys"

So now you can tell all your friends that you now know of a dog that has had its stomach stapled! A little 'Gastic Bypass' - on a Pup!!! (Methinks the Bariatric Center would be very intrigued)!!!

These pups get into MORE trouble...

...And the vet told Mary this was a first for himself too- He has removed panty hose, toys, and many other things- though admittedly much smaller- and the dogs were much sicker too- But never in his entire career has he ever had to remove an 18" stick from a dogs stomach; let alone a 5 1/2 month old pup! (I told her that for the vets bragging rights alone, the surgery should be half price)! She said she will never ever again leave him out of her sight!

Time to get my backside moving- Will put on a bit of breakfast for when the boys get here to help move- (Better that they are working on full tanks anyway)! I have too much to clean- and will never catch up on any of it- Maybe next week I will worry about that... Its going to get worse before it gets better anyway with Casey moving and all...

Hope all is well(er) in your little corner of the world.

Love to you,

Anna-Anna

PS YES, that is the actual stick I am holding next to Buddy...

Mary said she will have it gilted and framed...
