[My] Life in Wisconsin

It'll Change

It'll Change!
It'll Change! magnify
A few weeds in the fields...

Good Morning All;

What a difference a few days make here...

That last snowfall making it tough to do anything but 'march' (or slide) back to the woods with the pups.
Given the mess I have made of my back, I chose to do the marching, and step over the snow.
(No pain, no gain)?

UGH.

.

Miss Punk (left), and her Mama Milly ~back by the woods...
(Miss Punks "Golden" daddy is really showing in her coat now)!

.

.

My little Punk always goes through this awful "I've~lost~my~mama" thing every time we go back there. (And only because she refuses to leave me behind, alone).
By the time we get back there, Mama Milly is long gone.
She has usually gone down by the river, and finds something rank to be rolling in.
And in the meanwhile, Punk pretends to look for her. Knowing our routine, she gives up quickly and comes running to wherever I have gone to.

.

.

.

Then waits for Mama Milly to return...

.

.

Soon Milly is back... and their fun begins!

.

.

Then they BOTH go down to the river...
Punk always waits for Milly to get all the way down before she will go.
(I do not know why)...

.

.

Waiting for her mama to get all the way down.
Maybe she doesn't want to get tripped or to fall?
.
.

But getting back to my title...

There is a saying that if you don't like the weather in Wisconsin, to wait a minute and it'll change.

.

Two days ago, as Punk waits once more...

The snowmobile trail closed four days ago... Good thing, right!

What a difference a few days of rain, and temps in the upper 30's, made!

Punk runs down by the now 'open' river...
And I'd taken this picture right before I'd heard the "splash"
(Lasting all of about 4 seconds before bounding right out too)!
.
.

And with that soggy pup came a fast trek home to get her dried off too. Talk about "dashing through the snow."
She has been sleeping on and off ever since we got back here too. (Mostly 'on'). hehehe

Her back must be bothering herself too. She is slow to get up wherever she lies down for the last few days; and am happy I had asked Dr. Spires for some extra of that Rimadyl the last time we were there. I haven't given her any yet, will keep an eye on her.

So between the two of us, gee, aren't we quite a pair?!?

I have just gotten my forecast here.
The subject line reads: "Goodbye sunshine, hello snow". They are forecasting another 1~4" of new snow by tomorrow.
It should also read: "Goodbye 30's, hello winter"

(Guess that "wait a minute and it'll change" must also apply here)!
So does, "Here we go again!"

Hope all is well (and warm), in your little corner of the world!

Love to all!

XOXO
Anne
