[My] Life in Wisconsin

Broken Clouds, and Bleeding Hearts

Welcome to my waterlogged world...

...And Good Morning to all!

Was your Sunday as soggy as ours was? WOW! Once the clouds opened up, there was no relief from it, and no hiding either.

Poor little Punk got soaked more than once, just having to go potty! And the fields, so meticulously planted over the past week, are now quite ruined... Those tiny Romas will probably need to be replanted...

Taken 3 days ago...

And yesterday to have wound up looking like this...

.

Quite waterlogged; with a few rivers running through too.

Sorry it is not from the same angle, (but I had already had my morning shower). I snuck up to my bedroom to take that shot... ...Leaned out the window, and my arm was completely soaked by the time I pressed the shutter! And it came down like this, steady, for a couple hours... it just kept coming!

Pouring off the roof of the back entrance here...

And bouncing back up off the roof of the pumphouse...

.

.

A bit of thunder and lightening; but again, nothing severe either. Am quite interested to see what this latest weather will have left my own little garden with... It is still raining, and can hear the rain on the tires as the occasional car drives past; a whishing sound that isn't there when it is dry...

The forecast for today? Storms. Nuff said.

CaseyAnne and Jenny Mella did a bit of shopping for me the other day, taking the Rendezvous to save her gas... Now, for some unbeknownst reason, Casey does not believe that there is still enough venison in the freezer. (But she did inform me that my ABS brakes are working just fine).

And so that deer was not obliterated by the Buick. (Although the poor thing probably drowned yesterday)!

I have been up for hours already, and am going to try to get back to sleep for a bit before I go out and assess the overgrowth of my weeds...

Hopefully a few things can be salvaged as there is quarry rock under the farm and so it drains quite well. But I am not holding my breath either.

.

.

Blurry or not, I don't think these little Hearts would have survived...

.

.

.

Nor do I think these tender petals would have survived either...

.

.

.

This is ARK Weather in Wisconsin; no doubt about it!

.

And it seems good as any, my reason to go back to bed!

Have a WUNNAFUL Monday!

XOXO
Anne
