Good Morning All!

First of all, to hope that our boy Brett has a super great day today...
Along with the rest of the team too!
We LOVE our Green Bay Packers!!!

While wandering around the net yesterday morning, (in my pj's no less), I heard an odd noise outside. The snowmobile trail goes through about 200 yards south of the house, through the fields. (And it 'sounded' much like one was in my yard)?

The dogs heard it too...
And I should mention the noise that followed, but that was quickly drowned out by the 'DING~DONG' of my doorbell.

WHAT?!?!?
See, my doorbell doesn't work...
Yet it must have made an exception realizing that I must be made aware of my visitor.

Yokes!
~Please remember the pj's; (even silk and warm and new this year; still a bit embarassing).

A kindly (chilled) man~ and asking "did I have my tree yet?"
An emphatic 'NO' from me.

I have had an artificial tree for eons now. But having tired of it, (and just 'knowing' I would replace it by this Christmas), I had given it to Roberta after last year.
Casey has tried to 'win' a tree from WLUK TV here in town... And after repeated attempts during their early morning news show, we had all but given up.

The man said "I will give you a tree, come and pick one out!"
And then he even offered to cut it down for me!

WOW!!!

I told him I would get dressed and wander over...
(This real 'Santa' being my cousins husband from next door)!

Fast as he had come, away he zoomed on his snowmobile; disappearing into his own little forest.

I got dressed in record time, fighting off two hopeful dogs as they 'know' that this effort on my part means that they are going outside!
It was 2 degrees, (on the PLUS side of zero).
I dressed very warm...

I put Miss Milly out to her kennel. The sun more than warm enough in her secluded little corner. She laid outside to get the sun...
Punk traipsed through the snow with me.

Jim, (and his snowmobile), appeared from nowhere to pick me up, and away we zoomed... (with my Punkster in hot pursuit)!
hehehe

Getting to the trees, Jim climbed off first.
As I am climbing off, I hear him say something to the effect of "let go". ~Miss Punk hadn't taken too kindly to having someone pick me up like that and drive off. (She let go). Jim directed me which rows of trees to choose from, and I picked a small one.

.

.

Jim cutting the tree down-
Punk still running inteference for me I guess...
hehehe

.

.

And my little Christmas Tree was down!

.

.

How come when you pick out a small Christmas Tree, it always seems to GROW by leaps and bounds before you even get it in the house?
(It also got much "weight~ier" as I dragged it all the way home)...

.

.

See my tree...
It really was one of the smaller ones!!!
And certainly was NOT that tall before he'd cut it down!
What the dickens???

.

.

Having had no real tree for such along time, I had NO idea where my tree stand was. (But I knew I had at least three).
Somewhere...

And since it was to snow once more, I shook the tree off and brought it inside the garage. Later on, to get dressed all over again, and to go in search of those stands out in the old shed.

Remember the rummage sale I haven't had yet? In addition to the two little tractors, all that stuff was conveniently blocking my way to move anywhere in that shed. Glancing around, knowing that I would have hung those stands up, I could not see any of them...

Casey had gone off shopping with Randy, and I called her. (Problem solved)!
Yes, she still has some awful pain, but is not going to let it get her/keep her down for long.
Especially when she can go shopping! hehehe
She actually likes to do this; those genes surely NOT coming from me.

It took me all day to warm up a bit- Even keeping my winter~long pants on under my jeans... And now that I have thought on it for a bit, my feet and legs are still a bit chilly.
I shall add a new pair of decent winter boots on my Santa list!
That, and some stirrup pants. They were always so warm under my jeans; AND they stayed in place too. It was always hard to find them in X~Tall, but still it is too bad they went 'out of style'... Those and leg warmers too.
BRING THEM BACK!!!
sigh...

I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend!
May the Spirit of Christmas be as good to you as it already has been to us!

THANK YOU JIM!!!!

Love to all!

And "GO, GREEN BAY" !!!!

XOXO
Anne
