Because I am an idiot...

How do you turn off the online status that shows when you are on?

  1. .railbody p{
    display: none;
    }

    Add this to the very end of the coding that appears in your CSS area...that is if there's any there. If that area is blank, just put this code in.

    You do know how to get there don't you? If not let me know, and I'll be more than happy to help.

    That online thing has been irking many of us ever since this moronic place saw fit to add it.

  2. You are NOT an idiot. That code isn't posted anywhere. I found it through a group I'm a member of. The members have been passing it around to everyone who asks.

  6. Also be sure to place the code in Notepad for safe keeping. Never know when you just might need it again.

    Thought you'd get a good laugh out of that one.

    You do know don't you?

  7. I tried doing this exactly the way you explained it but it didn't work. When I did this, it took out my right rail completely, which also took out all my controls - ahk!! Thank goodness for the "back" button!

    catsmeow - any idea why this won't work for me???

  9. Umm...that's odd. It's the only one I've ever used and it's worked like a charm every time.

    *runs away to double check code*

    Back...yep right code. Try doing the copy/paste thing with it (that's what this is) instead of just typing it...for some reason that seems to be the only way it'll work right.

    Weird place.

  10. I love you too!

    'Sides, I don't think too many people know this, so we all are in the same "CLUELESS" Boat!

    "The Clueless" Sounds like Gilligan's Island for some reason...

  16. it only works if you have it in the right SECTION of your css otherwise you need to tell it what to hide.....

  17. Put this code at the very end of the rest of the code along with any other ''moderation'' code to your theme.

  18. My sis-in-law once had that code on her page. I think she disabled it. Not sure why. They should make it easy to do like they did over on myspace. Mine over there has always been disabled. Of course.....I have no clue how to get back over to where that part was now. That was too long ago for me to remember that part!

  19. Many people were and still up in arms about the online status thing showing...it's no one's business whether you are on or offline. I deleted someone because she made a comment about me being online when I said I was signing off and was still showing as online. You show as online even if you're signed out of this place. Again, not the business of anyone.

    Too much information about an individual is available here and I among others don't like it. I have my area has private and off limits as much as I'm able too.

    MPland needs to adopt the good qualities of other sites and stay far away from the bad.
