Casey, by the baby pine cones...
Yes, she is still in the hospital.

.

.

Not feeling so good.
Casey, with Berta.

Even Master Gabriel;
(good beyond our wildest dreams).
Almost like he understands somehow...

Good Morning Everyone;

As many of you know, Casey had an awful week last. Her pancreas landing her at the hospital once more.
She may be released later today.

.

.

Punk slept in the car all morning.
She must have drooled a bit,
ending up with my Woodmans receipt stuck to her face!

.

.

After coming home from the hospital early yesterday afternoon, I finally mowed lawns. This is the 1st time in over 10 days that the rains have held off long enough for me to get my own yard done. And must get to Kelli's place; time and weather permitting.
Rain is possible a bit later today, so I shall try to get hers done as early as possible.
(That, or we will have to bale it shortly)!
hehehe

.

.

We have had so very much rain lately;
even the hospital grounds are covered in mushrooms!

.

.

I did not/could not sleep Sunday night, so when I came back inside from mowing, I had to lie down and nap for a little bit.
That "little bit" lasted 'til almost midnight.
Kinda nice, that.
Although I do believe another is called for, shortly.

As I was leaving to go up to St. Marys yesterday, Jesse came to replace my chimney cap. It had gotten torn off in one of the snowstorms in Jan. or Feb. Two weeks ago, I had noticed a bird sitting on the antennae, and going down inside the chimney... Time to call in the brave one.
(God knows "Yours Truly" isn't crawling up there anytime soon).

.

.

Yup. Much braver than I...
It took him less than 15 minutes!
Less than 15 minutes...
To keep the birds out of the chimney;
AND to keep the rains out of my basement!
(I have a little river down there,
Running from the chimney to the drain).

Thank you Jesse!

Lots of Springtime~Life happening around here...
.

.

From the fields getting planted...
.

.

To blossoms and blooms!
.

The MDA bike run went by the place last Saturday morning- About 20 minutes of Harleys too!
Punk did not appreciate the noise; and distracted herself from that by playing a bit of "Fetch"

.

.
.

Bossie Cows,
and their newborn babies too!

.
Hope all is well with everyone.
It is time to rest a bit before Casey calls. (Just SO tired lately is all).

Love to all.

XOXO
Anne

  3. Hi Mommy!
Yes, I'm still in the hospital... The nurses and this machine I'm hooked up to are taking care of me quite well... It was so nice to see everyone yesterday, even though I was really out of it.

I did finally manage to get some sleep and boy did I sleep last night... It felt good.

I still have pain today and the nausea is pretty noticeable too... I will try to get some broth and some more jello in me...

I'm glad that Punkie got her sleep too! That picture is just too funny with the reciept stuck to her mouth! :D "That's okay Punkie, I drool too!"

I'm so glad you saw the mushrooms in the parking lot... I had seen them when I went into the ER on Sunday night, but didn't have the time to take a picture. They were quite cute though!

I'm also glad that Jesse was able to get that chimney cover on for you. That was so nice of him to do that!

Alright, I'm off to eat that broth and get some more healing sleep...

    Love you Much Much!

  6. Poor Casey. I hope she's well enough to get out of there soon.

Looks like Punk is checking the grocery receipt to see if you bought her any treats! In the "fetch" picture she looks like she's been getting a few treats. She sure has "filled out".

That brown and white baby calf, looking straight at the camera, sure is sweet!

Speaking of sweet - Yea for Jesse for fixing your chimney cap - what a guy!

  7. Sweet Connie

Just TRY to kill those chives! (I double~dog~dare ya)!
    It won't happen
They will be fine... As long as you stop worrying.

    I am dry... for now.

I do however have my days/nights all mixed up now- But had another very enjoyable nap too!
So I won't complain... too loudly. (Wait til midnight)...

The chimney on the old garage always has bluebirds in it. (No cap on that one).
Not sure how deep they go, but every now and then (when I check the clean out door in back), I have to pull out a little carcass of one that went too low... and stayed there.

    Love to you both!

  9. Hi Baby Girl;
Yes, I know you are still in the hospital you silly kid!
    hehehe

Maybe tomorrow you can get out of there once more...
And stay the hell out of there too!

Punk does not like that St. Marys does not have a ramp for her to be shaded in. (Will have to get up there either early or late now).

    Are those mushrooms edible?
(Yes, I was raised in a babushka. No, I do not know the difference between edible and non).
    I should have paid attention...

    Enjoy your *ahem* ~brello!

    I love you.

    Foreverlonger.

    XOXO
    Mama D.

  10. Sweet Sally

First of all to thank you for stopping by, AND for commenting too.
That I chose to comment on this comment is almost making me silly!

They ARE kinda cute, aren't they???
Think I'll keep 'em. Which might p'o' Ms Thers, (but there ARE days)!
    hehehe

  11. Sweet RT!

Punk says thanks, but suddenly she is mad there were NO treats on that one.
    'Couple of sodas though...
Too bad, so sad for the pup...

I took the baby calf pic from about 50 yeards away. I had pulled over just to look at the cows at Ullmers Farm... (And remembered Caseys story about them)...
    hehehe

Will have to find that link for you...

I swear Jesse has almost been a blood brother here. He went out with Roberta a long time ago in high school.
When they broke up, he still took (then little) Casey to Dairy Queen every monday night!
Friends like this are hard to find these days. He has always been willing to help us out for any reason at any time.

    Love to you

    XOXO

  12. I hope Casey is doing better! I feel so bad for all she has to go through and you too. It's got to be so hard and frustrating at the same time. My prayers are always going out to you both.

  14. Sweet Tonya!
I thank you (all too) for the prayers.
There are many times that my Faith has threatened to waiver a bit, as I am sure you know...
But then am gently reminded to never ever allow that to happen.

I cannot begin to tell you how damnably frustrating this crap is. (And certainly not only for me)!

    Love to you!

    XOXO

  15. Sweet Barbara;

FROM YOUR LIPS TO GODS EARS!

And that is why our next step will be Mayo Clinic.
Greg and Casey have gotten an apartment- Supposed to move by the end of the month...
Thank GOD for that reservation address too.
And they did NOT get that apartment by luck or love. They got it because they BOTH have good credit.
    WTF?

Screw the bastards at Murphy Development that left her out in the cold to suffer.

  16. hgahahhaa at punkie! Miss Isabelle did that the other day in the car and woke up with a MAP stuck to her face... It took me five minutes to stop laughing and showing everyone to help her get it off her face. I never thought to grab the camera out of my pocket.

I left all my words over on Casey's page.

    That picture is gut wrenching,

  17. Glad you got that chimney fixed! We got ours all fixed up last fall so we wouldn't have any surprises in it. And man, I sure hope Casey is feeling better!!

  18. I think we all feel like tossing them out on that rare occasion. I remember when my younger son was giving us some trouble, I had a pic of him when he was an adorable (mom statement, lol) toddler, dressed up for the rodeo with boots and hat. Was about 2 and looked like spanky on the little rascals...anyway, I put this pic on my desk at work to remind me why I kept him all those years. :P
I'm up early this morning so will get to praying for your Casey. We have a good friend in NC who's son James has the same thing going on with him. He was in the hospital twice recently w/pancreatitis, including when they were on a family vacation in TN...he was in the hospital there the whole vacation. He's a really sweet kid, is 10 years old and used to be in my children's church class. I'm believing that God will touch them both! Take care.
