[My] Life in Wisconsin

Pics, 'Blags'; and 'Never You Mind'...

Pics, Blags; and "Never You Mind"...

.

.

Good Morning All;
I really HAVE been around; just spend LOTS of time reading about these dang politics of ours.
Wait, don't hang up. This is NOT a political blog. (Blag)?

hehehe

It has been so long since I have "blagged" that a few of these pics/thoughts might be 'repeats'.
(If that is the case, kindly refer to the fact that I am
50 now)!

I have received more pictures from my son-in-law, William.
Cute pics of my Little Lawrence and their family.
(Lawrence who clearly, I am not going to be able to call "little" anymore).

.

.

Cnv0032 by you.
Almost the whole crew...
(Minus me of course).

Quoting William here:
"This is a type of sand shark that we caught by hand.
It's an angel shark,
Lawrence said what it was right when we pulled out of the water."
.

Um, wait a minute there Will.
I'm not too sure I want to be catching ANY kind of sharks by hand!
(And I don't care if it's an 'angel' or not)...

Not too sure what one would do with such a thing either...

Does one eat it?

Feed it to the dogs?

Release it?

Throw it at someone you don't like?

.

Cnv0034 by you.
Not sure what Lawrence is looking for...
(But I'm damn sure happy I wasn't hiding in the grasses that day)!

hehehe

.

.

Cnv0035 by you.
Lori and Lawrence on a Dolphin Cruise!
(Lori, where is YOUR Life Jacket?)...

Y'all better CLICK HERE to see what happens if you don't wear one.
Something about "The Arkansas Titanic!"
hehehe

.

.

Cnv0038 by you.
Not too sure what these are...
~To me, they look like the biggest darn goldfish ever~
And the "goldfish" don't look too happy either...

.

See my comment from William himself below... (Among other things, he has ended the question of what kind of fish these are).

Meanwhile, on this side of the Mason Dixon Line, my sister Kris has completed her first triathlon with her cousin Bill.

Say "YAY" !!!!

Her times?
"quarter mile swim, 9 minutes
15 mile bike, 1 hour, five minutes
3.5 mile run, 55 minutes"
Go SissyKrissyPoo!!!

100_1801_edited-1

.

.
AND, she came in 2nd in her age group too!
(Never you mind that there were only 2 entrants FOR her age group).
.

Even more pictures?
My Angel Mama Marie has posted a new album of pictures of their Damion and his lil' brother, our Baby Sam.
Please click here to see these darling young men!

On the homefront, I think I know why Sputnik is the deep purple color that he is.

.

Cnv1146
hehehe
Yes, Casey had found me some purple drop-ins for the toilet!
(And yes, that darned cat prefers purple water)...

.

Also on the homefront:
Austin Straubel Airport has changed their incoming flight patterns.

.

.
Cnv0211
.

.

This, I do not appreciate, for two reasons:
#
1. They are LOUD when they are flying over.
#
2. Punk has taken to chasing them clear across the field.
While this is good exercise for her, it startles people terribly... (Me, for instance).

No, she hasn't caught one yet.
And yes, it is probably safer than chasing cars
...

Casey took this picture...
(Swearing that she didn't get it too).

.

Cnv0014 by you.
Methinks she got it just fine!
(This is how the cucumbers all get bitemarks in them too)...

sigh

.

.

And one more thought here, but very important to my Multiply friends...

If you are wondering why I do not comment on your videos, please know this...
If you post one of these, video by you., I cannot watch it. I have dial up.
Even www.hughes.net is quite spendy.
So, until hell freezes over, (or until I find a different home), I will not be commenting on these.
(Unless of course you 'splain them to me on an 8~year~old level)...

I'd better close for now. have taken that giant leap of faith and put my little sale in the paper for today... I'd best get out there and start moving a few things outside.
It might rain. Those "few things" had better be waterproof too.

Have a 'wunnaful' weekend!
Special thanks to William and Kris and Marie for all the pictures!

Love to all.

XOXO
Anne

PS

The question of the day now...

What is your very 1st thought when you see this picture?

.

Flying pig by you.
? ? ?

  1. My first thought about the pic would have to be money. Why you might wonder? Well, I'm a 50 year old farm girl and not once did any of our pigs fly. If a farmer could raise pigs that fly, he'd/she'd be the richest person in the world. LOL!

Great pics, too. I've spent time this week just reading blogs. Heck, over on 360 sometimes ya can't even do that. I'm just glad that some of those on my 360 list are here on multiply and usually post the same blog here and I'm able to read it.

Good luck with your little sale.

  2. My guess would be Red Snapper(?)

Where were the beach pictures taken - Alabama coast?

Nice looking family pictures - pretty Weimaraner (dog) too!

Congrats to Kris - that's really something! I get winded just walking up a few flights of stairs. I need a dog to walk, so I can whip myself into shape (or even close to being in shape would be good!)

Don't let Sput drink that purple water - ewww!

Somehow seeing big airplanes fly over your beautiful pastoral farm just doesn't seem right.

And the bottom picture is of course - "when pigs fly!"

Hope it doesn't rain on your sale. Make lots of money!

  3. Good mornin' Bart,
That picture reminds me when Pigs fly.. you must really be doing well on that sale...hehe
Looks like red snapper to me.. oh man they are yummmmmy!
As to that life vest thing.. funny I thought the very same thing.. Where is HER Life jacket?
How did Nikki get in that picture? Has she been sleeping around on me? Hussy!

That purple stuff cant be good for the Sput.. maybe get you an automatic hinge to close the lid from now on. hehe
What a great shot of the thief.. arent they magnificent creatures? Yummy also..hehe

Yep very good exercise for the Punk! Well, as long as she doesnt catch one.. Im sure the FAA would not be pleased..hehe

Congrats to the runners.. I know at my age I couldnt do it.

Have a wonderful day ..Im just sitting here waiting for the pager to go off.
    Mucho hugs!

That's why I keep coming back to this wobsite :)

Great photos, the shark is cool....Lawrence looks happy and the triatheletes look fit as fiddles. Kudo's to them.

Purple cats and flying pigs? Now I know why you are mispronouncing things, lol.

  5. When pigs fly...

    Congrats to the Bikers.

Is that a deer Casey got a pic of?

    Im with RT...
seeing airplanes over our home doesnt seem right

    love to you

  6. Oh my! Lawrence has done some growing! That was a great picture of Lori and Lawrence on the boat with the water as their background.

I do wish I was as athletic as your sis Kris. I'll bet she feels good too!

Hmmm....purple cats and dogs chasing planes! What's in that water up there in Wisconsin??? Oh yeah.....purple toilet drop ins! LOL!

When Pigs fly??? Well, that usually means the likelihood of something happening is pretty null. Now that I have seen it with my own 4 eyes (glasses add me another set. Hehehehe!) I would have to say that something has happened that otherwise would not have happened.

  7. btw Im glad you are getting to see pics of Lawrence

  8. Sweet Doubtfire!

Can you imagine if there really WERE pigs flying overhead?
    HAHAHA!!!
(And everyone goes "Ewww" when a seagull poops)!

I still miss so many from 360- Even here, there are a few that I miss because of no comments etc...
But yes, whether here or 360, I go to those peoples blogs who do actually take the time to come to mine and to even say 'HI" every now and then.
Ya get kinda tired of getting little or nothing in return...
And with this dial up, I have no time to waste once i am on here

    Love to you

    Hope your weekend is great!
Oh, and I am going to have some stuffed green peppers for supper!
    All fresh I might add!

  9. Sweet RT;
Maybe... I wouldn't know a red snapper from a snapping turtle.
My fish comes fresh from Seaway Foods- or the red salmon right out of the can!
    mmmm

    Where?
    I dunno.
I believe they have a condo, or place on the Gulf Shores.
William said 'lake' in his note...

hehehe CONGRATS to Kris is right... (I get winded just thinking about her doing all those things)!

    Milly just might be puppifying.
You can have the best rascal of the bunch!
    hehehe

Purple water says safe for pets.
(It's also safe for the septic tank and drainfield).

Whom shall I complain to about the airplanes???

Hasn't rained yet. (I am still open but real slow now).

Hopefully the pager is behaving. (If not, please complain when you turn it back in that there is/was something wrong with it, and that they should fix it before you get it again).

Laughing at YOU catching the jacketless Lori. (I figured after you had sunk one boat AND ONE CAMERA already, that YOU would see that.
    hehehe

Punk says she is 'telling' Nikki that you called her a hussy.
Methinks Milly wasn't too particular either. But I was!

Not too sure about that shark though.

    Congrats is right...
And yes, that is a doe (♫ a deer, a female deer ♫)...
Probably a year or two at most... And I know it's hard to see. We were standing up by the house, and took the pic over 20 acres...
I tried to darken it up, but what I know about changing pics is limited to cropping them...
    Sorry about that.

Now you and RT have to figure out who I should complain to about those darned planes.

I love that picture of Lori and Lawrence too!

  16. Red fish have a large black dot just before their tail fin, the fish in the picture above don't, besides, they're too red to be Red Fish. These are definitely Red Snapper. Click on this link for a picture of a Red Snapper http://myfwc.com/marine/FishID/snapred.html and this link for Red Fish http://www.fishfloridabay.com/redfish.html

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nice pics Anne. I wonder how those red fish taste - when cooked I mean. I'd guess other wise they taste with their tongues.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Nice 'catch' on the fish!
    hehehe

(I still think they are HUGE goldfish)!

    ReplyDelete

  19. Mr. Khoolman;

Methinks any fish from down there would be that color from eating shrimpies.
Therefore my guess would be that it would taste like a fish/shrimp.

    GAWD, now I am hungry...

  20. They have to swallow somehow!
    hehehe

(But I will admit that was my 1st thought too).

And am going to try to sleep for a bit.

  21. Anyone who has ever taken a hook out of a fish's mouth will tell you...

    ...fish do not have tongues.

    So funny!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I stand corrected. I guess some fish do have tongues. Maybe the fish classified as mammals? But I'm absolutely positive the trout I've caught did not have tongues.

is that a spear going thru that lil sharkey or...? yikes, poor dear..!
if anyone cares, I agree that those are red fish with tongues.
Contrary to what you may think about those triathlon-ers, i know for a fact that miss krissy sissy poo, couldn't walk, crawl or even say her own name the entire week after the race.
Purple toilet water cat..? are you smoking something?

  28. Not that it matters, but do fish have tastebuds? And if so, where?

It's easy to ask to ask the obvious questions.

    ReplyDelete
  29. If nothing else, I'm good for researching stuff (yeah, I know).

Here's what I found out about tongues. All mammals or most multi-cellular animals, that is, members of the subkingdom Metazoa, have tongues or similar organs.

Some animals have prehensile tongues. For example, chameleons, frogs, salamanders and some species of fish use their tongues to catch prey. This also would include some insects.

So, fish that are mammals, such as Dolphins and Wales, have tongues along with those (mentioned above) which have prehensile tongues.

Isn't it fun learning new things? ROFLMAO!!

    In your blog title:
Pics, 'Blags'; and 'Never You Mind'...
I guess this would fit in the "Never You Mind" category.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mmm Bacon. yummy, I'll have a wing. Lawrence looks just like Roberta doesn't he? Khool, Fish do not have taste buds. Have you seen what they eat?

    ReplyDelete
  31. WHAT???? My dad is REALLY going to start stepping up to the plate and being a DAD?!?!?

    Yeah...

Speaking of frozen pigs in hell, well, never mind. I had no idea where I was going with that...

Your blag is one of the best that I've ever rood. In fast, it is thie beast I've evar sine!

    Whew, that's a mooth full!

    ;)

Sweet Lawrence really is growing up... Pretty soon he'll be taller than me! Wait, that's not that hard... And I'm pretty sure he already is... Umm... Pretty soon he'll be as tall as a 6' person!!!

Yeah, speaking of tired.... (see above) ((No idea who above is, but you should see that person and speak of tired...))

And OH what exciting things they find, when they have the time!
From snakes to sharks, and beaches to parks
Oh the things you can catch if only you.... wouldn't be scared as hell to grab on...

(So much for hanging out with Dr. Seuss... I guess I have a ways to go...)

They do always have the most intriguing animals in their posession or in pictures, it is really quite awesome! That little boy is seeing more in his first ten years of life than I have seen in my entire 21 years! Very good for the mind and the character... Lori and William are such wonderful parents... They must read your blag too and take notes! :D

CONGRATS TO KRISSY POO!!!!! I honestly can say that I would not be able to make it to that finish line! Wayyyyy, too much energy required... Very awesome job!!!

I was glad that we could get some done this weekend, even though we expected those pigs to get off the ground and wanted some "down time" whatever that is... (I read in a book somewhere that it is pretty nice!)

    Well, I must sleep...

    Love you much much!

  33. I am glad YOU are good at researching stuff.
Methinks the most common search on my own computer is for pancreas', and not tongues...

If only you would have included the definition of 'prehensile'...

    Love to you

The wings do not look too filling.
    (Talk about 'white meat' eh)?
You would have to kill many of those pigs for one teeny meal.

I am afraid of taste buds, so I will stay out of the conversation to Mr. Khool.

    From the deep south.
Yes we do know how to pronouce and speak down here.
You just have to speak and understand Gods language! I can interpret it for you.

The bigger one of the three is a red fish.
Not all red fish have the black spot on tail. Especially when the tail is turned away from the camera. The spot comes when they get bigger.

That is Evan, my sisters boy holding the big one.
The other two are called ruby red lips.
Because their lips look like they have on lipstick.

Yes that was spear for the shark.
We was down yonder on the gulf at Orange Beach, the city between Gulf Shores and Fl.
    It was July 2008.
The adults that went out on the dolphin cruse did not have to have life jackets.
Maybe next year you and Casey (lil sister) can come and go with us.

What are y'all talking about? Lawrence is 100% Gaither. When I look at him it is just like looking in a mirror a hundred years ago
I was that skinny little kid.
