Eavesdropping in the Cemetery?

In keeping with the season...
"Creepy Sputnik"
.

Good Morning All;
I have been so lax in writing, and in keeping up. But hey, you probably already know that.

There are times that I read your blogs on Multiply, and then have no comprehension of what I have read. Perhaps it's early "Old~Timers Disease" kicking in?

Of course, to my friends that haven't left Y! 360 yet, there are still too many times that I cannot even get to your blogs. (System seems to be stuck in late April; damn it, Yahoo). When I actually am lucky enough to get TO a new blog, to comment takes a miracle at best.

But we already know that too...

Charlotte Bronté said it best: "Better to be without logic than without feeling."

I believe I am stuck in 'feeling' right now.
hehehe ?

Hard to keep processing all the pancreatitis info that is coming my way. But am happy to be receiving it too.
And as far as your blogs go?
If you want a comment on your blog, please limit your thoughts to one, (and one only), and then explain it on an 8 year old level for me...

I think there should be a 'rule' on all blog sites too. (For those of us with bifocals anyway). And that 'rule' should be to always take into consideration your background (Multiply is just so "noisy"), and to increase your font to a more readable size.
That might just be 'me', but I have gotten my new glasses, and some of your sites are still hard to read.
Yes, I do highlight and read, but even with that, it seems hard.
Maybe it's just my head. I have had an ache in my left brain for a few days. Very little nausea, so it is more than livable.
Just a raunchy feeling. A "blah" if you will.

I did go to my little appointment on Monday to have my silly ear rechecked. He said it is healing nicely and to take my Sudafed for now.
I shall do what he says then.
(But he didn't say I couldn't whine about it either).

Casey has had any number of appointments this week too. Since her legs are so very weak, and do not work right, I have driven her to those appointments. I have also given her Mom's old walking cane.
.
.

Her apartment complex.
The view, as we drove out of her place.

.
.
Casey had a dentist appointment yesterday.
A filling (which she was very happy to have done).

On a related note, I received a note from Mr. Rick McCabe (Chronic Pancreatitis), part of which read, "
The moral of the story for Casey is for her to see her dentist regularly and make him aware of the possibility of her teeth deteriorating because of her CP.
At her age there must be something that can stave off losing her teeth (keep in mind that I’ll be 48 on Sunday).
If you check the board archives you’ll see several other PAI members in the same boat."
Know that I shall keep checking those messages, Mr. Rick.
Odd how very many things are 'fitting in' and making sense for us both.

She also has another pain appointment today. (That sounds weird, no)?
She has finally had much relief with the fentanyl patches, a very good thing. (Again, we will deal with any withdrawals when it becomes necessary to do so). Her relief, and a bit of comfort, being much more important at this point in time.

We did get a bit of the "S" word on Tuesday-
Just enough to say, "Carp, it's "S"ing."

I must have had my camera setting wrong.
But yes, that IS "s" coming down...
.
.
I bought a new couch. (New to me). And half price at that!
A La-Z-Boy, and reclines on both ends. I thought it was shorter than my old one. It is not.
But the deal at the store said that Casey gets my old one-
Casey and Greg do not have one, just my old love seat- (Which also reclines ~and rocks too).
My old couch is a pull out sleeper-
Queen size. This will help Casey and Greg in the event that people wish to stay at their place. The pads also become a twin bed when removed.
Casey has proclaimed this to be the most comfy couch ever; never mind that Sputty has scratched up one corner, and never mind that it needs a deep cleaning to shine once more.

.
.
Cnv0678 by you.
While we waited for a truck to come and move my new couch,
we drove around for a little while,
stopping out front of this house.

If you haven't read Casey's blog yet, please know that this house had a zillion fat squirrels around it. Odd that there are none in this picture?
Guess the squirrels didn't want the camera stealing their souls. hehehe
Looking into the trees too, there was not a single squirrel nest! Maybe at this house they are living in the basement?
Yes, I believe I know the house, not the current owners though... And know that many strange things have happened in that basement too.
.
.
(Also in keeping with the season?), comes the fact that there must be a reason that Punk looks absolutely scared to death as she looks around the car. She suddenly has a HUGE problem being in the back seats.
This is new.
Also new is the fact that as I drive, she is seeing, watching, something back there.
Casey has opted to use the back seat so Punk can be up front.
Casey quickly learned, this is NOT a spoiled dog thing.

That said, when I got home yesterday afternoon, I literally spent 'til sunset cleaning every little thing in the car.
Just weird is all; ...is enough.
.
.
Cnv0632 by you.
Mr. Miller didn't seem to mind being in the back of my car.
.
.
Of course that picture was taken before we had stopped at the cemetery too.
.
.

.
.
I had stopped, said a prayer for Casey. (I do not believe that my Mom and Dad need prayers anymore- only words).
And with my words I had asked them to keep Casey safe.
Not only now, but when we go to Minnesota too...

...I had further asked them to 'come along'.
Sheesh, maybe someone else was listening???

I shall close for today.
And leave you with a picture of the farm, at sunset...

Oh, and here is the link to Caseys blog.
She has caught us all up on what is going on in her life.

Love to all.

XOXO

  1. Good to hear (no pun intended) that your ear is getting better.

Trust me (as being a year older than you) Charlotte Bronté is right, I'd much rather feel that something is right than to use logic, especially when I seem to misplace logic altogether some days.

I bet one of those squirrels, that Casey wrote about in her blog, got hit by a car and has now decided to come back to haunt Punk from the back seat of your car. You don't need to clean the car you need a car ghost buster!

I love the "fallish" look at the apartments where Casey lives. So pretty. It may be time for snow up your way, but we had some flurries the other morning and it's way too early for us way down here!

    Lovely sunset picture.

So are you going to tell us... what happened in that basement?

  3. My young friend, have a great day and take care to keep yourself well. Great picture of the apartment complex. With or without the bifocals you have "a good eye" as they say.

  4. I am not sure what practical or pragmatic help you want from me but....

RE font size, in the event I haz the dumb and cannot brain enough to remember to fix my fonts when I copy things in, you can always go to the page menu in you internet explorer and adjust the zoom to make things bigger. Colors as far as I know there is no way to fix except to simply highlight the text.

RE: Pin cushion, I am with all the above as far as dentists and pain treatment. For her legs no clue. Pain meds can change the way your digestive system works, perhaps try switching the TYPE of protein she is eating, ie if most is animal try soy protein or something. There are also supposed to be digestive aids that can help when pain meds are being used. Also to look into protein supplements. There are lots of sports supplements at the vitamin stores of some sporting good stores. The pancreas is the protein powerhosue so she likely is not being able to digest enough protein based on her intake to support muscle function properly. There is a limti to what the kid can eat so supps might be one way to add some in easily.

RE Panicked Punkie... Perhaps she was sitting back there one day and was stung by a bee or something? If you didn't see anything while cleaning, it is either a ghostie or soemthing that is no longer there. She doesn't generally mind the spirits so I am betting on something biting her in the hiney.

RE: blogs. Can you please limit yourself to one thought so I can limit my response to one thought so my dorky mama can focus?

    hehehehhehe

  6. Wow...all your pictures are soooo clear...what type of camera do you have? I have a cannon A560..but your camera is crystal clear! I love the setting sun and the farmhouse...Beautiful enough to put in a frame..

  7. Oh yea...forgot to mention "love the doggie"..and the snow picture is incredible...I like that it's a bit blurry like that...it looks really really awesome!

  8. 8-4-3... what the...??

  9. I want you to know that I have read your blog 3 times and am just now able to make a comment. It's not just you having trouble concentrating on things...

As for the 'loud pages' I try to keep mine as simple as possible with little to no 'flashy things'... I don't like small font either so I try to use normal to large (depends on how I feel)

Maybe when you stopped at the cemetery a spirit tagged along when you left? I know Punkie sees them at your house but has she ever seen one in the car? Maybe it scared her because she didn't think they could travel like she can? Dunno but it's weird...

I talk to my dad all the time and ask him to watch over us and keep us safe. It gives me comfort to know that we're being watched and protected from 'the other side'...

Can I come and try out your 'new to you' couch? Lemme get my thumbs ready and I shall be on my way... hehehe...

Am sorry that you got some *S* but am envious because we get more rain than anything here in Washington... Can you send the *S* my way please? Is it possible to send it west?

I'm glad to hear that your ear is healing nicely... I shall put my plunger away for now!

    Love Ya,

    Slurkie

  10. Sweet RT;
I only cleaned out the car because I thought maybe there was something odd in it. And by removing that odd piece, had it anything 'attached' to it, then would have changed the 'feel' of the car.
(But really, I needed a FUR Buster)!

Those oak trees at Casey and Gregs will promise that they will be seeing many squirrels throughout winter.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU GOT SNOW!

    Basement?
    hehehe

    More to follow!

    XOXO
    Me

  11. Sweet Pamela;

I guess I should ghave been more specific, or left out the background part in that.

When posting a new blog, I always hit the font to be size "normal" at the very least. While I can read the smaller font, I do find it problematic is all.
    Guess I am getting old.

    Basement?
    You will have to wait.

  12. Sweet Splat;
Know that Mama is always trying to focus- Too much and my brain gets blurry.
    hehehe

    Life.

    Practical and pragmatic...
Yes, I have highlighted the Punk response.
No bees, dead or otherwise- (and they would not have made it out had they stung her).
Nothing "odd" or too far out of place either.
    I saw nothing.

Does one sprinkle the salt for the ghosties IN the vehicle. or around it?

You are always so in tune with this stuff- even more so than I, so I just wanted to know what to do with this.
Not sure as I want that 'company' for a road trip...
Casey said whatever it is, that it weighs very heavy on her chest as she sits back there.

    XOXO

I have another to post too. Not so much the snow in the forefront, but the 'diamond' to the upper left of that.

  18. Was I supposed to simply use my imagination to insert a word where the "..." is?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sassy SlurkieBaby,
hehehe (I had to 'add' that to my dictionary)!

I know Punk sees lots that she cannot tell me about. Unfortunately then I am left with trying to read and decipher her actions and her body language...
I am not always good at that, but I can tell you this...
...If she has seen spirits here (and I do believe she has), then I assume it is mom/dad/grandma/grandpa etc.
That said, if they shown to her in the car, it would not be upsetting.
Clearly this dog is upset. (Still).

Not sure about this either... Are dogs precognitive too? (Because then that kinda scares the bejeezus out of me to be having to travel)...

Maybe Pea would know the answer to that.
    (Note to self...).

When I change my page, I only add the CSS code, and NOT the "custom css" anymore. Takes too dang long to load on this silly @ss dialup crap I have...
And no, I don't think I have ever had a problem reading your page.

It is highly wrong for snow to go west.
It would be better if YOU came east.

    XOXO

  20. Sweet Bobbie;
I have learned that digital cameras are one of those things that you absolutely get what you pay for.
And so, I have never minded to pay the little extra up front.

You share the love so well!

  21. Would you believe me if I said I'm workin' on it?
Randall was completely THRILLED to find out you live so close to Green Bay (he is a Packers fan also)
So, maybe a move to Wisconsin is in my future???
Dunno, is something to hope for though...

  22. Hiya Rock..
Now how in the world did I miss commenting on this one.. I know I read it the other day..

Going back over it.. Im wondering what those folks who lived in that house thought of you parked out in front and stalking? their squirrels? Looking for NUTS? hehe

I must agree you take wonderful photos.. you just have an eye for it! I think that comes right back to your wonderful sense of humor.

I do believe that those we love do come back to watch over us.. Of course, I would believe that way.. considering all the stuff that happens around my house.

Hope this week, works out well for Miss Casey.. It is her time for some good news at long last!

    Lots of hugs and luv

  23. Oh well now that is a whole nother story. Perhaps next time it decides to sit on my sis she should have a stern talk with it.

Ask it why it is picking on Punkie and why it is sitting on her chest.

Maybe it is just looking for attention.

That worked for the one that decided to sit on me one morning too many.
