Sorry kids... I know I promised you a blog about sex.
Unlike myself to put it off, but 'sex' will just have to wait for a while.
Casey has not recovered; although she did try to go to work yesterday. (Due to the nature of her illness, she is to be employed only until a replacement can be found, and then she is to train that person).
Once there, she was told to go home because she was in so very much pain, and looked so badly.
On to the clinic then, where I'd told her that I would meet her.
In the meantime, she'd called again- To meet her at the hospital.
There, again, she was treated for her intense pain. (Dilaudid x 3, Zofran x 1). Yet not admitted.
Back to the clinic to sign some referral papers; I then brought her home with me.
She has a pain appointment at 3 today. I will be picking her up for that.
Her own doctor is thinking that a fentanyl (sp) patch might be the way to go; until we can get to her appointment in Madison.
Weeks away though and cannot get her there any earlier either.
Hopefully then she shall be properly treated and cured.

I'm sorry Casey is so sick Anne....the patch might be best until they can figure out what to do for her. and i hope that is soon, because if not , there is the addiction worry on top of everything else. hugs hon!...hard road your family is traveling, what doesnt kill us makes us stronger. xoxoxo

I hope the "patch" helps Casey manage her pain. If the only reason I had for returning to work, after being out sick, was to train my replacement, because I was being let go because of my illness - I wouldn't go back (I'd be thinking "To he|| with them!") Casey's got a lot of moral character, and is a much bigger person than I am. Sending HUGS to you both.

ReplyDeleteSorry she is ill again.. I can not begin to imagine her frustrations over it all. Now why is it she is not being considered for the job? After all .. she is already trained. It would be difficult for me to train someone to take the job under those particular circumstances..

ReplyDeleteFrom that silly job at Citgo- to the Perkins fiasco, and now this; everyone 'lets her go' when she ends up incapacitated for so long...
Not sure how that will all play out.
Hopefully Madison can fix her and her development center won't be able to find someone of her abilities in the meantime!

ReplyDeleteI do wish Casey would be able to heal from the health issues she has. It sure is making holding a job difficult. Can she get on disability? Wouldn't hurt to inquire or try for it.
So.....that picture up there is what that tree area looks like minus the snow. Seems like I have seen those before only covered in white.

Cyber Hugs and well wishes is all I can do.. I have used the fentanyl suckers when getting steroid injections.. like the rest they may help you tolerate the pain for a bit longer but I wish they'd just find a cure..something that works vs putting a band-aid over it! arggggggg!
