Good Morning All;
I hope you had a 'wunnaful' weekend!
And to those of you who shared my dinner last night, I thank you!
(I also must thank Jenny Mella who made it all possible)!
CLICK HERE if you missed dinner; (see comment section)...
hehehe

Another night that I could have slept all the way through had Punk not been a very persistent child at 2AM. Sitting up, taking note, I hear her Mama Milly out in the entrance... So out they go.
I wander out with the dogs, looking up and seeing the stars; and wondering if once more the weatherman had been wrong.
They had predicted a bit of snow; beginning as that slushy mix, and ending with a little snow on the ground.
But like I said, it wasn't going to happen, after all the skies were clear.

Back to bed. Woken once more by the dogs about 7.
Punk generally gets fed at 5AM and 5 PM. (7 was pushing it for her fat little hungry tummy).
But outside first.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear...

Cnv0977 by you.

Certain that I am sleepwalking or dreaming, I look northward
.
.
Cnv0976 by you.
.
.
Then southward...
.
.
Cnv0978 by you.
.
My back hurts just THINKING about it!
What a difference a few hours makes!
.
.I even peeked eastward...
.
.
.

Cnv0979 by you.

.
.
So out I go to shovel the snow!

Have a grand Monday!

XOXO
Me

  2. Sweet Snowball,
Hmmm, maybe the 10 inches is coming early this year. Wasnt that around the 30th you had to put the shovel blade on the tractor? Is your blade ready this time? Chains? (ducking to avoid a fist in my face)
Sorry, I just had to mess with you :)

  3. Those are beautiful pictures. Snow to me is something you drive to, to play in and sit in a cafe drinking hot chocolate and watch it fall, then drive home far far away from it.

  4. When I went over to my sister' house last Friday, I had been there all day long.
It was COLD, but wasn't calling for any snow. About 9 pm, someone came over
to her house and said that it was snowing really bad outside. I said really?
they said yeah! Sis thought they were joking, because they're always pulling
jokes on her. Low and behold, when I went to leave around 10:30, there was about
3 inches of snow on the ground! I live about half hour away from her. If it wasn't for
having a Dr's appt 1st thing next morning, I'd spent the night! We still had some snow,
as of last night, but I got up this morning and it's pouring down rain! Ohio weather stinks!
Ohio weather: The weather is moodier than a woman with PMS.
(Of course men say we're moody). Anyhoo... Be careful shoveling that snow,
    and try to keep warm.

It wasn't fun either- The heavy stuff that is impossible to move...
I have since showered the sweat off, and am trying to sit up straight.

  6. Sweet BethieBaby,
The plow still must be attached this year.
(Methinks I shall have to call Brandy and John soon)...

I wouldn't punch you in the face!
    Heavens no.
(But I might cuff you upside the head).

  7. Sweet Pamela!

I think I love your definition of snow.
Although we shall be driving far in the coming month, it is a lateral drive. (Frying pan/fire).
    Dang.

  8. It wasn't so cold Sweet Susan, but my sassy back wasn't impressed.
It is 40 degrees right now.
If I'd gotten some of your rain, I wouldn't have to worry about shoveling. (Wonder if i can hook up a sprinkler)?
    hehehe

    We ARE moody.
But it is still not nice of them to say it.

  13. Well, I am very late for Monday; or am I just early for Tuesday?

Your *S* is very pretty. Am sorry that I'm not there to help shovel it...

Looks like Ms. Milly is standing at the door saying C'MON! It's COLD.... Let me in, NOW! LOL

Did you get that close to the birds or did you zoom your camera? Either way it's a GREAT shot!

Stay warm and have some more sloppy janes... LOL!

    Love Ya,

    Slackin' Snotball Slurkie ;-)

  14. Sweet Beep!

Up at 2, then at 7...
if it wasn't for the darned dogs I wouldn't have been up at 2. !!!
('Course if it wasn't for Punks insistence, I might have cleaning up weewee when I did wake).

As for your dilemma of not seeing snow... Please scroll up and you will see plenty.
And since none of it seems to have melted, I have a feeling that you will be seeing too much snow in my pics for a while.

    OR...

You can just click on "SNOW" tag.
Best to read them from your deep freezer if you want the true impact.

...Then stay there for 5 or 6 months.

  15. Sweet SSBS;
It is early Tuesday... (Just not early here anymore- not at 5:30 anyway; and not to an old farm girls standards).

My first instinct WAS that my "S" was pretty. And to grab the camera...
But then I shoveled it (without you) and its beauty quickly faded.

Mama Milly did come in, but wanted 'out' so bad- Back up to her old tricks... I put her to her kennel then all day long, and not a peep out of her either! (yes, she came in last night, and when I let Punk out this morning, I woke Milly and told her to go potty too. She walked straight up the sidewalk, heading for her kennel.
I said "Milly, POTTY". She stopped, turned around, peed in the snow and wandered back inside. She is 'out like a light' all over again. (And I didn't even know dogs COULD sleepwalk)!

I gave half the sloppy joe/janes to Randy- He saw does only- (One of those "wait for the trophy buck" hunters, and shoot a doe only the last weekend).
I was never like that. I only wanted my freezer full of meat.

But I did make a huge pot of Pea Soup... (I had the hugest hickory smoked ham hock ever).
It was very yummy, (but fell out too). Damn nerves...

    XOXO
    Me

    PS
I did have to zoom a bit for the chickadees and cardinal. While Mr. Cardinal will very happily exchange whistles with me year 'round, he draws the line at anything closer than about 25 feet whether I am whistling or not.

  16. You know I would have helped you shovel the snow ~ Call Anytime you Need Help. I love the shot of the birds and of Milly patiently waiting to get back in the house.

  17. Sweet Katie;
See? You are my "Angel~Katie" in more ways than one!

It wasn't so bad you know... And it didn't take too long either.
But don't be surprised if I do end up taking you up on that offer at some point.

    Love to you, to ALL

    XOXO

  18. No, it looks like Punk is frowning, cause her frisbee broke. Anyway, she just looks sad in that picture.

  19. Ahhhh! I miss the snow already...there won't be more than a dusting of snow in my new town over the winter. Nevermind that I'm only a short drive from the mountain pass...I really like seeing it in my yard. However, is you saw the steep hill I have to drive to get up to my house after work, well, you'd think I'm crazy for even thinking about snow! I'll have to add some photos over the holiday while I have the computer to myself!

  20. Sweet Lisa;
I shall happily trade my required shovel for your broom.

    Yes!
    Yes!
    Yes!!!

I am missing your beautiful photos! I can't wait!

    XOXO
    Anne

Now I am jealous that you get to live atop a hill.
    sigh.
