[My] Life in Wisconsin

Christmas for CaseyAnne!

Good Evening Everyone!

PUT YOUR "THINKING~CAPS" ON...  hehehe

I don't know why some of you get my blogs as I post them, and some do not. I have 'backed up' the posting time here...

I am ever so tired, and will be keeping this quite short.
Know too that I am going to post this as "network" as I know that many of your own family and friends have been praying for and thinking of Casey daily.

And a big OOPS on me...

*** If you are planning on sending flowers or candy, there are no live plants, or cut flowers etc, allowed on the transplant floor/wing.
And of course candy is out of the question with her blood sugars being so wild.
(She does NOT tolerate the chemical/fake sweeteners either).
My apologies for not posting about this sooner, I found out myself (the hard way).
~The tree below being the one I
tried to bring to her room 2 days ago...

I will also be posting a photo album from here in Minnesota.
(I might do that tomorrow).

But here's the thought for this blog-

? If you were here, and if $$$ wasn't an option,
what would you put under the tree for Casey this year?

I am SO looking forward to see your comments below & what ideas everyone has.

PS:
Understand that she has no energy to be on her computer yet- And her eyes are being funky from all the meds...
But I will bring my laptop up with me on Christmas Day to read her all your thoughts

  3. Ok,......now if $$$$$$ was no option, I'd start with a wonderful tropical vacation...

Then follow that with tickets to a great football game...perhaps the Packers...

But for now, I'll just leave something she can really use right now.....loads of hugs and prayers.....perhaps something to keep her feet warm on her walk to a better life...

I was going to leave some of Cee's christmas cookies but beings no sweets, I thought slippers would be more appropriate...

    HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS!!!!

    er, HOHOHO!

What a grand idea you had for this blog! I thank you for it!

Send the darn cookies anyway... I can eat them all then!

Now I have but one question...
Who gets to go with her, to the game, and to the island?

  8. I would put a plane ticket or two under her tree so that she can rest and recharge on the beach here in SoCal.

    that was a no brainer.

  9. Ok, here's some of Cee's cookies she made. And, of course, you will have to accompany her on those trips.

I'm glad you liked the idea. I just thought it would be a nice way to bring Christmas to Casey beings ya'll can't be home for the holidays.

  10. Sorry the pic was so big but I forgot to size it down. Hope that's ok. If not, let me know and I can redo it.

  11. Well....first of all...without good health nothing else matters much. So that comes first.

And of course, if you have money to use at your own leisure you can do with it as you please. Buy a home, a new car, go on vacation or just sit back and relax.

  12. Since money is no object...
A complete 4year scholorship to the University of her choice.. including books and room and board (for 2 if needed of course)

Of course you knew that would be coming from me.. I am such an advocate for education for young folks.

Merry Christmas to both you and Casey.. May you both be blessed with good fortune and good health in this coming New Year!

  13. Two plane tickets to any location on the face of this earth for Miss Pin Cushion and Greg to enjoy a week long, relaxing, PAIN FREE, Holiday...after that, anything her little heart desired!!

  14. Merry Christmas Eve!

Well let's see, I guess what we all want is for Casey to have a speedy recovery and to be pain free and healthy for the rest of her life.

But, as far as a "tangible" Christmas gift goes, and if money were no object...

My Christmas present to Casey would be a Leer Jet (at least a 12 seater) it would come with a pilot (wages paid for one year) and a years worth of jet fuel. She'll be flown anywhere she wants to go. Maybe she'd like to meet some of her online friends face to face, or go skiing in the Alps, or fly to Sicily for pizza, or visit Alaska to see a few Polar Bears, it's her call, all she has to do is tell the pilot where she wants to go! When she gets tired of traveling she can sell the Leer and use the money to buy a house, go to college, start a business, or just spend it!

    CHRISTMAS HUGS!!

  15. (I am just now getting this one too....urgggg!)

Since so many others have taken care of 'good health', I simply must add a dream wedding for she and Greg (of course including travel and accomodations for all who wish to attend) and a Honeymoon fit for the richest on earth!

(sorry again about breaking that "live plant rule")

    ReplyDelete
  16. I would transplant her into a robotic/bionic body, where she'd have super strength, and could use her jet packs to fly wherever she wanted as long as she took me with her. We could do the flyover for the Packers' Game. We would truly have the best seats for anything, anywhere on earth. We could save the world from evil 5 times a day. Our motto would be "don't look back" (if you leave). And we could colonize the moon, and speak to angels at 11:11 every morning and night.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If money was no option I would have to say a year of rent paid so her worries would be eased and she could work up to working again in her own time. I still think the best gifts are family and friends being together and as you are there now and Greg was that counts. PLUS you are doing the Birthday and Christmas after she gets home and I think that is what matters most!

    Merry Christmas to you both!

  19. Wow! Everyone's gifts are so great!

If money were no object, I would give her a month long, all expenses paid, trip to wherever she wanted to go and as many places as she wanted to go. 4 star hotels, room service, you name it she would have it... She would live like a rock star!!!

Merry Christmas to the both of you!

    Love Ya's!

Hugssss and lots of hugs and kisses to you Miss Anne and Caseyface!!!..and what a joyous day it is for you!!!..Casey is getting better (finally) and as everyone has mentioned..there is nothing in this world more important than one's health..

If I had lots of $$$$$$ I would buy Casey anything she wanted and I would find you a cure for your stupid migraines..better leggies that don't hurt and an endless supply of ciggs and pepsi..a gardener and pool boy hehe...Have a "wunnaful" day my friend and a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! xoxo

Casey was unable to do too much today-
Very tired- Her bilirubin counts are up and also they have increased her heparin- She is already on coumadin and baby aspirin. Her blood just won't thin and that is very scary.

Please say a little prayer for her when you can.

    Merry Christmas to all.

    XOXO

  27. It looks like it was a lovely (but long) Christmas day for Casey. Annie you did a great job bringing Christmas to the hospital! Very cute Santa hat! Now it's time to get some rest - both of you.
(...shhh, turns off lights, tiptoes out...)

  28. You don't even have to ask my sweet friend! Prayers are being sent continually!!

It looks like you did a good job of bringing Christmas to Casey...

She looks so happy but tired at the same time... But it seems that she is getting better daily...

I know this has been really hard on you being away from home through the holidays... I bet you can't wait to get Casey home and celebrate Christmas AND her B-day together... What fun that will be!!!

All my love to you both,

  31. Sweet Aunt Susan,

I'm working on the perfect health thing... Right now it is seeming a little beyond my reach, not too sure if it's a bug or ulcer but we will be testing for the ulcer on Tuesday morning... Know more then...

As for the happiness, I'm not sure I could have more happiness then I do right now!! I am so blessed with my mother, sister, boyfriend and friends that I don't think there is room for even more happiness!!!! You have added to that happiness so therefor your wish has come true!

Thank you! Merry Belated Christmas to you too!!

    Love you!!

  32. My Wonderful Bestest Friend!

A teleporter would ROCK!!! I would be over there as much as possible!!! We could take trips all over the place too! Oh, we could get into so much trouble with one of those, but it would be quite the fun!!!!

Can't wait to see you soon! Love you!!!

    ~Casey

  33. Sweet Pam,

I have to thank you for the monkey butt! That did make me smile many times! Mom would show it to me when I wasn't feeling the greatest and it would make me giggle!!! Thank you!!!

Now, that trip looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I think the tropical vacation would be much welcomed for everyone after these stressful past months!!! We might have a bit of a delay on going though simply because of the restrictions on swimming and such... I simply can't go somewhere so beautiful and not be able to swim...

YAY! PACKER GAME!!!! I have not gone in so long, considering how expensive it is, but with money being out of the question we could all get a box and have lots of fun! Food and drinks are all supplied to those box seats too! And if it's cold, we'd be nice and cozy!!! :D

I have to say that I LOVE those slippers!!! They are so cute!!!

All these presents are so wonderful and it's great to dream all the dreams!!

    Love you!
    ~Casey

  34. HA! Never thought of eating those poor slippers!!! :D

She did have a great idea for this!! As so many others...

    Okay, back to my replies!

  35. Sweet Sister DeeAnne,

Ah!!! Some R&R in SoCal would be just what the doctor ordered!! We are under windchill advisories tonight and tomorrow anywhere from -30 to -50 degrees!!! YUCK!!! I'm glad that I have no where to go... Stay inside and enjoy the warmth! Hopefully one day I will be able to make it to California for a visit!

    Love you!!!

  37. Hi Sweet Peachie,

I'm progressing toward that good health... I have a bit of a bug or an ulcer, we'll find out what exactly on Tuesday of next week, but I am closer than I was before they took the darned pancreas out! :D

YAY! LOTS OF MONEY! I would buy a duplex for Mom and Greg and I to live in, then a puppy for me... An RV to Mom because she's always wanted one, and then a big trip to visit all my online buddies!!! and of course some much needed R&R...

As for the friends, I have lots and lots of friends already! I just wish everyone could come and visit! That would be a riot!!! It'd be great!

    Love you!
    ~Casey

  38. Sweet Connie!

SCHOLARSHIP!!!! GREAT!!! That is something I wouldn't think of, yet it would be extremely important! Especially the books, those are SO expensive! My choice, hmm... I wouldn't know where to go! For veterinary I suppose I would go to Auburn University in Alabama, but I don't want to go that far away from home, so I guess I would start here at Green Bay and then go to Madison! Dreams dreams dreams...

    WONDERFUL IDEA!!!

    Love you!!

  41. Sweet RT,

Pain free and healthy! Oh what a treat that will be! I'm sure it's coming. Even though I've got such pain now, I'm sure this all will pass eventually. After all, the darned pancreas is gone!!! YAY!

Ooooo, that jet would definitely be fun!!! I would start off with meeting all my online friends face to face. Then, since pizza has been so hard to eat, once I'm healthy pizza in Italy sounds wonderful! Not too sure about the skiing, but if I had the money for all the warm equipment, I would definitely give it a try again! I went downhill skiing in the sixth grade and didn't fall once! Polar bears would be a treat! Maybe some penguins too! They are sooooo cute!

And the idea to sell the jet and go to college and everything else is great! Good thinking!

    Thank you!

    Love you!

  42. Awww, Sweet Beth!

The wedding would be wonderful! Since I'm not expecting to be able to go on a honeymoon, that would be a pleasant surprise!

Don't worry about the live plant rule... Since I had no one else in the room and the nurses didn't seem to notice, we kept it for a little while... Thank you so much for that!!!!

    Love you!

  43. Sweet Sister of Mine!!

Yay! A bionic woman! That would ensure the healthy part, right? I would LOVE to be the Packer's flyover with you! That would be so funny!!! Saving the world from evil 5 times a day? Hmm, is that possible? That would be great... OH! About that motto: WOO-OOH-OOH WOO-OOH-OOH WOO-OOH-OOH WOO-OOH-OOH!!! :D

Colonizing the moon would bring great fame and fortune! And being able to speak to angels would be heaven, literally! AWESOME!!!

    Love you!!!

  48. Hi Sweet Wyck!

Still working on the "getting better" part... See above replies... I'm feeling very yucky right now, but this shall pass! This is great to finally have hope of this pain going away and staying away!!! You're right, there is nothing more important than health, I have learned this!

YAY!!! I could have anything I wanted! Wow, that'll take some thinking...

Thank you for everything for Mom too! She'll need a pool to go along with that pool boy, but then again, that might distract him from her! Hee hee hee...

    Love you!
