"ARF"ing About Minnesota

punk bored

Me.
(Bored too).

.
.
  "ARF" to all;
And we ALL know what THAT means!

I have a few little whiles- "She" is busy-
She said something about my Casey coming today! And that means that 'she' turns on the warm box on the wall, and puts something in it. It smells really good, (and that makes my spit run funny).

I'm sure she told ya, but I went on a LONG holiday. I think it was s'posed to be my present this year. But after a while it was kinda boring too.

We left my Mama Milly at home, all by herself, with the cat. (That's pretty funny to me).
.

.

Me on the ride...
And that's my very own riding bag!
It has ALL my treats and toys and junk in it!

.

.
We drove for TWO potty breaks. And finally 'she' brings us to this other big bedroom.
.
.

Casey and Punk Pre~Surgery
We have fun for a few days.
And after that, she makes my Casey go away for a long LONG time.

.
Then she leaves me there every day, (sometimes two, maybe three times a day), saying 'she' gets to go see my Casey.
She smells kinda funny when she comes back every time. Kinda too clean.
Us dogs don't like that smell. It makes us think we are doing something wrong.

.

.

That Greg guy that sloppy kisses my Casey was there for a while too.
I had to check his own bedroom every time I came back inside to make sure that he wasn't hiding my Casey. But she wasn't there either.

..

December 18, 2008 004

He helped take her away that one day...

.

?

Me and Punk (14 below)

"She" would make me walk a pretty long way to go potty and poo.
This was the little hill out front.
And it was pretty cold on my paws.

.

.

This is the place with the bedrooms in it.

..

041

But we didn't see the grass for long cuz it kept snowing!
My she had to go get extra fur to put on and everything.

.

.

'She' left the talking picture box on for when she was away. Some kind of animal shows-
Mostly I just slept.

Sometimes the ladies there would come and take me out of this bedroom and have me sit by their big windows by the big doors. They would play with me too. And I could see everyone that came and went. So that was pretty cool. (They really liked me at the place with all those bedrooms). And they gave me treats all the time too!

One day, after a long while, 'she' takes out my big black special collar.
Then she asks me if I wanna go see my Casey! I do! I do!
And I get so excited I almost peed on the floor! But I didn't. (I was very very very good the whole time I was there).
Well ALMOST the whole time anyway...

Once, after my she had gone to sleep, I ate her pie.

.

.

PunkVisitsKc 001

I didn't mean to eat the whole thing.
I started just sniffin' some white stuff on top,
And then I had to sniff the stuff under that.
THEN I HAD TO TASTE IT ALL.
And it was SO good.

Even better than Bonz!

.
.

But like I said, I finally got to go see my Casey! I was so happy to see her, but I had to be ever so gentle because she hurted. A LOT.

.
.

PunkVisitsKc 014
I just gave her lots of kisses then.
She likes that.

.
.

I got to go see her again later in our trip.
And then once, my Casey even came to see me!!!!

My "she" practically had to sit on me when I saw my Casey peeking in the door too. But then I 'membered to be so nice again.

My Casey went back to that weird building again. But not for so long this time.

Then we came home.
.
.

Now I get to play with Mama Milly all day long- We get in trouble in the house, and 'she' says bad words at us sometimes.
So out we go!  Well only when it's not too cold that is.

We got to play outside yesterday.
.
.

Cnv1130
And it snowed all day long!

.
.
I like eating the snow.

.

.

Cnv1132

But I got kinda a nose full of it too.

..
Now, like then, it's time for my nap.

.

Cnv1141

.

.
So a big happy "ARF" to ALL!

May your paws always stay warm, and may your bowls always be full.

Love, Punk

  1. Well, Punk....sounds like you had an interesting trip. I bet you're glad to be home once more. Keep those paws warm ok? Don't need any frostbitten "tootsies" now do we?

  6. Grr... I'd rather smell like a dog.
Sometimes my 'she' puts patchouli on my collar. Talk about stink!
Shh though. I rub it off on the carpet.

  7. Duane just sent this on...

The following was found posted very low on a refrigerator door.

    Dear Dogs and Cats:
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however.
Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~-

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:
TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:
    (1) They live here. You don't.
    (2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.
    (3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
    (4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.

    *~*~*~*~*~*~-

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they
    (1) eat less,
    (2) don't ask for money all the time,
    (3) are easier to train,
    (4) normally come when called,
    (5) never ask to drive the car,
    (6) don't hang out with drug-using people;
    (7) don't smoke or drink,
    (8) don't want to wear your clothes,
    (9) don't have to buy the latest fashions,
    (10) don't need a gazillion dollars for college
    AND
    (11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children

  9. It was nice to hear from you again Punk. I am glad you had a good trip but I know you got bored a little. How is Casey doing? I bet your Momma Milly was happy to see you when you got home. She wasn't jealous was she. How is your "she"? I hope she is well. I know that head of hers hurts a lot. Tell her I said hi. I'm gonna go but do have fun in that snow and keep those paws nice a warm.

    Lots of love!

  10. Good.
    "Fine" I get.
    "Snoozin'" I get...

  11. Hiya Punk!

It's your Casey here... I am glad you got to go with us and even more glad that you did get to visit me in the funny looking building. We call that the "hospital" and even though I was gone a LONG time this round, hopefully we won't be attending these hospitals as much anymore! They took out my pancreas, the trouble maker, so hopefully I can be healthy and not the "sick little one".... :D

It got boring for me, too, out there. Your "she" made it better by visiting me though! I was much happier when she was up there with me! She even took me for walks too! Only I didn't have to go potty and we didn't go outside at all...

I have to say that the dog/cat posting has been around but I laugh until I have tears in my eyes every time I read it!! It's just too great not to! Gotta love us pet owners, huh? :D Hee hee hee...

Well Punkie, sorry I couldn't visit today, I know your "she" doesn't feel well, and neither do I. I will be by tomorrow though!

Love you, "ARF" and big kisses to the Punk!
    ~Casey

  12. But everyone was SO nice to me. Even all the nurses and doctors when I saw my Casey!
(Well, except for one who demanded my papers). I shoulda bit her, huh?

Mama Milly pretended she didn't even know me.
My Casey had the camera but was sorta loopy and slow about getting that picture. Sorry.
She always IS loopy and slow, but sometimes she is worse loopier and slower.

Her dang head is nasty today. I hadda go between her and the doors in the bathroom once. (I think she likes this when she's sick).
Maybe her paws are cold, huh?

    Love, Punk

  13. WHO ARE YOU CALLING LOOPY AND SLOW?!?!?!?!?! Hey now........ I resemble that statement.... hee hee hee

  14. Hi ya Punk,

  15. YAY!!!!

    MY Casey!!!!
Sorry, but I hadda go eat.
If everyone loves me so much, how come ya don't feed me enough anymore?

If it got so boring for ya there, at the hospital, why didn't ya come and visit ME more often?
I came twice to see you, and you only came once to see me.

Whatdyamean ya didn't have to go potty? No wonder you was sick.

My brother Buddy went to the hospital once ya know.
    Remember?
He swallowed a big stick. http://flintville.multiply.com/journal/item/576
But he didn't keep going back either. Guess HE learned his lesson once.

I can't wait to see ya tomorrow!

    ARF ARF ARF ARF!!!!

  26. You are much cuter than me... I am all short with the weirdleg thing...

I like the nose view, that is about all I could see I think.

I think those furless ones give us these tags to make up for the fact that we can't change our fur like they do...

They can change their fur so we get the jingly jewelry....

    ReplyDelete
  27. sigh

I did have a nice time, 'specially with those people at the bed place.

    ARF!

  35. Hi Punky, it was great hearing about your journey, it's good that you know how to behave so well and can go with your she so many places. I know how happy you must be to finally be home and that Casey is feeling better. Take good care of your she, and remember when you're outside playing in the snow - don't eat any yellow snow! Hugs!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. It is nice that you are back home Punk! Stay warm and out of trouble, LOL.

  37. Hiya Punk!
This is Rosie. My sister Izzy and I have been making our 'she' act like one of those wild animals. I think she calls it "crazy". We miss our he because we are used to going out in his clubhouse everyday and lay on his feet while he does something called 'work'? Your 'she is much nicer than ours, we never get to go in the car to new bed places! I told you she was mean! 'She even came by and looked at this page earlier and didn't give me time to leave a comment! She is always saying words like "busy" and "chaos" and she acts like the little 'he's' and little 'she' are doing something wrong when they share their food with us...what's up with that?

Punk, hear me now...If my 'he' doesnt come home soon, I think we might jump on the gravy Train to your house!
Before I do, tell me...can I get a lot of belly scratches there? I'm just not getting enough of those lately. Maybe we could send my sister Izzy out with Mama Milly cause she and I have been aggravating each other and I need a break from her!

Could your 'she' take us for a ride to Casey's house? I would like to meet her. My 'she' says that your Casey is special and needs to be healthy for something called a wedding with that man that swaps drool with her. I like to lick Izzy's mouth too, but my 'she' makes fun of us and calls us names. I wish I could tell her that I like boys too, its just sisterly love is all. Besides, you gotta watch what dogs you lay down with, or you'll get up with fleas!

Uh oh, I think 'she' just heard my collar....I have to go Punkie. Thank you for being such a great friend. If you didnt blog about these things and let me comment, I would need therapy and my 'she' would never pay for the whisper man to come talk to me.

    Tail wags and waves,
    bye for now
