Ten Thought Tuesday- A Day Late

Good Morning Everyone.
It is safe to read today. I am off my little "pity pot"...

"However mean your life is, meet it and live it: do not shun it and call it hard names.
Henry David Thoreau-

Late for my ten thoughts- But better late than never, so they say.

1).
My tulips are coming up. Sadly the danged bunnies are eating them.
.
.
Cnv0219
I might not have any blooms this Spring...
That's OK, as long as Flintville 'greens up' a bit.

.

?
2).
Casey and Greg came out last night.
Greg to fix my computer, Casey just to look cute.
.
?
Cnv0284

The Casey and The Greg!

.

.
3).
Speaking of the CaseyKid, she does have her surgery scheduled for April 6th.
.
?
Cnv0379
a few more prayers?
.
?
colon

"Bye~Bye Innards"...

And just like that, 70% of her colon will be gone???
(Not much to take out of her anymore either).

Gee, anyone else noticing the "holiday" thing she STILL has going on?
hehehe

.

.

4).
Punk says hi to all "ARF"
And she is happy to get outside and play once more.
.
?
Cnv0271

Sometimes I even let her win.
(In truth it is; that, or she will drag me around the yard)
.
.
Cnv0270

OK. So we BOTH need more of that...
hehehe
.
Maybe 70% less colon would work for me too!
;-)
.
.

5).
It has rained for 2 days. Seems to be clearing today.
But the wind is still pretty gusty.
.
.
Cnv0149

The rain makes what little is left of the snowbanks disappear.

The wind just blows the mud around...
.
.

6).
I still giggle when I think of the little town of (P) Ringle.

Wagon

All that snow will be gone by April 5th...
Well ok, I am "hopeful" at best.

.
.
7).
A "good" idea????
I am thinking that this sign should be posted in all pharmacies?
(I am also thinking it shouldn't HAVE TO BE in the 1st place).

.
?
Cnv0178

Taken in Minnesota.
I do wonder WHY they had to post it to begin with?
.
.
.

.
8).
Followed by the "not so good" idea...

.
.

Cnv0179

You read it here first, Folks!
Salmonella is now approved for consumption.
hehehe

.
.

9).
The birds are back! From my SAH sparrows to the killdeer in the fields.
Red Winged Blackbirds, and those awful cowbirds too.

I even saw a canary, but they are too small and too fast to get a picture of.
.
?
Cnv0184
Daddy watching the nest...
.
.

.
Cnv0173

Mama on the lookout for intruders!
(Wonder who she stole the duct tape from)?
.
.

Glad that some of the birds will take care of a few thousand of these for me.
.
.

Cnv0254

I hate these things...
And THIS picture I took at home.

In my dining room, no less!
It was digested in Punks tummy soon as she saw it
.
.
.

10).

I stole this from my email.
NOTE: If you do not like off color jokes, stop reading.

Japanese Fart
A young Japanese girl had been taught all her life that when she married she was to please her husband and never upset him.
So the first morning of her honeymoon the young Japanese bride crawled out of bed after making love... She stooped down to pick up her husband's clothes and quite accidentally let out a big fart.
She looked up and said:
"Aww so sowwy...excruse prease, fwont hole so happy back hole laugh out loud."

Have a "wunnaful" Wednesday!

Love to all.

XOXO
Me

  1. 1. Is that why my bunny is all rowdy? She is all hopped up on tulips?

    2. That is some serious cute going on there.

    3. Dang holidays! Maybe if we stop all holidays Casey will stop going to hosptial.

    4. arf. ARF! Rrrrr, woof!

  3. LMAO @ joke, too fuuny.

    I'm glad she doesn't have to wait till July 4th for the surgery.

    We have those gun signs at hospitals, school, stores, you name it.

  5. Sweet Pea;

    Damn. Now I had to go run and get a bag of chips.
    Not "tube" mind you...
    sigh
    But glad she picked up some sour cream and onion ones...

    Spiders cannot fit on my light fixtures. I clean those dang beetles out of there evry week, and they still come darken my room.
    (For a while I thought I had glaucoma). Turning to look it is full again.
    The WIS DNR brought in all these japanse beetles (NOT ladybugs) to get rid of some other bug.
    Didn't work.
    Now we are stuck with foul flying bugs.

    Glad you specify "BUNNY"
    If it was rabbit I would cook it.

    no chips for me. I cant handle them anymore.

    Always a bad plan to combat something you don't want with something you don't have. We have caused more trouble that way....

  10. I just HAD to highlight this thought... Wonder when they will learn.

    XOXO

    Time to go dye my hairs...

    er, um... "Hares" HAHAHA

  11. Is that actual ground without snow I see? YEAH!! Pretty soon it will officially be "mud season".

    I put a "post-It" on my computer monitor, it says: "CASEY - APRIL 6TH". (Not that I don't send her well wishes daily.)

    Tug-of-war. That's one game Doc likes too. When I bring him inside after it's been raining and dry him off with a towel he loves to play tug-of-war with it. (He probably likes that game because towels don't squeak! - speaking of squeaking, it's been about a week since Doc sent Punk her little present. Has she received it yet?)

    Are those the birds that built their nest in your garage? Apparently they duct taped their nest to the rafters.

    Spiders aren't so bad because they eat other bugs. I guess that's the food chain though - spiders eat bugs, birds eat spiders. (No spider lasts long in my house. My cats LOVE to torture spiders - sometimes for days! hehehe)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I have never tried to dye my hare let me know how that works out. and how you get them to wear the little hat.

    they will NEVER learn. They can't think that far in adavance to figure out if something never LIVED here it has no natural enemy.

    ReplyDelete
  13. You actually have driveway and dirt showing finally! Hope that part lasts a while. I saw the stuff over in South and North Dakota. Poor folks there must never get to see spring!

    Hey! How did my Willow tree angel end up at your house? LOL!

    Casey sure looks pale. But still wearing that smile. I am so glad she has Greg to lean on. He seems like such a good guy.

    LOL! The Onion has a paper too??? Chief T is always doing the video/audio news from the Onion on his page. They are funny with their sense of humor. Hope everybody knows NOT to take them serious. Their sarcasm is hilarious!

    Loved the joke!

  14. Cant focus tonight, just know I was here, I love you, and I got a great laugh there at the end :)

  15. Sweet RT!
    Henrietta said it is ground, dirt, mud etc etc etc!
    hehehe

    Yes!
    Yay!
    Yippee!
    And the other day when I pulled 14 weeds, I actually got a little dirty and had to 'do' my nails!

    The dogs LOVE to pull!
    And it is good for their alignment as well.
    I cringe if they growl, so I don't allow that for playing.

    I took the sparrow pics in the ramp in Minnesota... They were making such a fuss.

    Oops- Must go open the garage for a while... hehehe
    Randy had built bird houses for the rummage sale. I left my garage door open one too many days! But they can get out around the top of the door. If they are smart enough.

    Spiders?
    Oh I have to psych myself up even to step on one. (of course that was pre~Punk.

    XOXO

    Then I fixed your roof and fired your landlord.
    hehehe

    You said, "Hope everybody knows NOT to take them serious."
    Ruined all my fun ya did.
    And yes, I do love satire. Real satire as long as it's not mean spirited.

    Casey is still cute, even without her many organs...

  20. HiYa', Anne. Good set of 10...love the pics.
    The third grade classes used the mesh bags, like the ones that oranges come in, and put together things that the birds could peck out of the mesh bags to build their nests with. Hung it on the tree for them and waalaa. I thought that was a cute idea.
    Hope you had a nice day, Anne. Have a great tomorrow.

  21. #10 was HILARIOUS! LMAO

    Glad you're gettin' some decent weather and are able to get outside and play!

    As always will keep Casey in my thoughts and prayers :)

    Love Ya!

  22. SWEET! Valerie duct taped her principal to the wall!!! AWESOME!!!

    Oh, and about that "better late than never" saying... I once got an email that compiled a bunch of answers from 1st graders who were told to finish famous sayings... this one was the number 1 answer: "better late than...." and the 1st grader wrote: PREGNANT!!!! HAHAHAHA! Out of the mouths of babes!!!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    1. Tulips...
    I got to see the tulips up-close today, and they look beautiful up until the bite marks... Dumb bunnies... :(
    Why is it that they eat all the beautiful plants, but leave the weeds nice and full?? They should really learn to eat the weeds and leave the flowers alone!!!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    2. Computer problems...

    That's a super cute picture of us!!! I wasn't feeling the greatest and didn't know if I looked just as bad as I felt, but apparently not! YAY!

    Oh, and when we brought it here and hooked it up to the ethernet cable, it still was having problems online. The url we got was urlseek"dot"vmn"dot"net. DO NOT TYPE THIS IN TO YOUR BROWSERS!!!!! It isn't a real website and is a product of a bug or many bugs in the MULTIPLY TOOLBAR!!! Not a serious thing, not a virus or spyware or malware, but annoying and it screws things up...

    However, even when he got around that problem, the computer is still having issues and whatever virus/spyware/malware is on there wouldn't let him even install an anti-virus/anti-spyware program on it! Sneaky little bugger...

    He did eventually get Avast on there, and it is scanning right now... I'm not touching a thing though... That's his little project and I'm an idiot when it comes to fixing these problems...

    We still have to get over to Lynn's to look at Christy's computer before I leave. I'm thinking her problem is just too much different stuff downloaded and there are probably over 100 tiny programs running in the background using up CPU and slowing it down...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    3. My Partial Colectomy...
    More appropriately entitled my "mostly" colectomy... Or a mostlectomy... Or a coleostly, no, that just doesn't have the same ring to it as "mostlectomy"...
    I had my pre-surgical physical today... Everything but my colon checked out good. My blood work came back normal and the pulse-checks; light check of my eyes, nose, ears, and throat; reflexes; chest sounds; heart sounds; etc. were all good. My bowel sounds were really good, he had to be deafened a bit by those loud rumbles through a stethoscope!!
    Weird, though, that after I went to the bathroom my stomach puffed out... Some days it does that and others it doesn't... Oh well, all will be worked out once the doctors get me fixed up!
    I feel SO bad about your dentist appointment. I know you've been waiting for a long time to get in and it seems like every time you finally get a date set, I end up needing tests or surgeries... I'm SO SORRY!! If I had the money I would get you the gas money to make it back for the appointment so you wouldn't miss it... I just feel awful about that...
    "Not much to take out of her anymore either".... Good! That means they're done whether they like it or not! No more organs to take out!!! I really should make a note of that on the back of my license where it asks you to specify what organs you'd like to give up: IF you can FIND them, you can have them.... :D
    Man, I feel bad for every person who has to read a CT scan from me! Or when I leave this earth years and years and years from now, can you imagine what an autopsy person would say?!?!?! He'd probably tell everyone:
    that I couldn't have even been human and have me sent to Area 51
  24. I did some research on these little "buggers"... I, too, thought they were introduced to eradicate some other type of bug, or tree, etc... However....
    "As the name suggests, the Japanese beetle is native to Japan. The insect was first found in the United States in 1916 in a nursery near Riverton, New Jersey. It is thought that beetle larvae entered the United States in a shipment of iris bulbs prior to 1912 when inspections of commodities entering the country began."
    Very interesting... I also thought they were small and were red with black spots, similar to the Ladybug... However...
    "Research performed by many US extension service branches has shown that pheromone traps may attract more beetles than they catch, and so they have fallen out of favor. Natural repellents include catnip, chives, garlic, and tansy, as well as the remains of dead beetles. Additionally, when present in small numbers, the beetles may be manually controlled using a soap-water spray mixture."
    Info from here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/Jbadult.jpg
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    At any rate... Going back to the insane logic of introducing foreign species...

    Usually when a new, foreign, species is introduced into a new area to eradicate something, it does a very good job in removing whatever it was introduced to remove.

    HOWEVER, then the area has a new infestation of this foreign species that they introduced...

    This is because the species has abundant supplies of food. Food is one of the main determination factors in the quantity of animals/plants that can live there.

    ALSO... Since they are foreign, they have no natural enemy living here... Just like DeeAnne and you said above...

    Since these species have ample supplies of food, and no predators to worry about, they are able to replicate at much higher numbers resulting in an infestation of that species...

    NOW... Instead of doing the smart thing and finding a man-made approach (even an environmentally friendly man-made approach) to killing off the infestations, environmentalists just find whatever species will feed on the infestation species, introducing the predators, and introducing another infestation...

    A vicious cycle of ignorance...

    Hence my interpretation of it being an "INSANE" practice!

    Insanity = doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results....

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Sorry, I'll get off your soap-box now...
    Love you Much Much!
    ~Casey
