Good Morning All.
Been one hell of a nasty week for me.
... Am hanging in there just to p*ss a few people off! hehehe

Received an email telling me I was overdrawn on Wednesday... I got terribly concerned about that one because I watch my dollars quite carefully. Going to my bank site only upset me further. No mistake, save for my own.
I'd neglected to change the full payment on a credit card last month.
How freakin' st0opid is that? (Still mad)...

Nothing to do about that, so went out and enjoyed the water- Still so hot and humid out that the only way to cool off is to seek out water at it's highest level.

Casey came out also- Forgetting her swimsuit. No problem, she just went out to the shed and grabbed one from the rummage sale. She is 22 now, and the suit she grabbed was her own, One from 7th grade.
It fit.
.
.
Cnv0402
I would guess that the top might fit a bit... differently though!
.
.
Jenne got back home after bringing Isaiah to visit with his dad.
She balances on her butt in the pool.
.
.
Cnv0405
I tried to do this too,
only to find myself as major entertainment...

Know too that my back does NOT hurt at all in the pool! How cool is that?
.
.

What happened to the toes in the reflection?

.
.
Cnv0407
Where have they gone? hehehe
.
.
I've been using the strips that tell the hardness of the water- what it needs or not. Everything had checked out, save for chlorine content. (I have well water so it would surprise me if it had showed any in it).
I decided to add the pool shock the next morning.

The skies darkened-
.
.

.
.
Time to put the cover on...
.
.
Cnv0409

.
.

Thursday morning, going out with Punk, and it was already almost a sticky hot type of day. (Thank God for that pool)! hehehe

Time to check the water one more time before the shock...

I walked around the corner of the house, only to see this.

.
.
Cnv0408
Talk about freakin' "shock" !!!!
.
.
Save for not thinking if my suit would fit, I thought I had thought of everything.

Everything else, that is...

EXCEPT...
.
.
Cnv0412

  for the damned deer!

.

.
Hindsight. 20/20.. Should have put the chlorine in right away- I don't think it would have been so attractive to them then.

Sad. Mad. Really Bad. ;-)

We will start over- Soon. Expecting a few storms this afternoon (if we're lucky). Even though I hate storms, we need the rains very badly. All the other threats of rain have missed us.

No pool?
Too bad. Back to the basics then.

.
.
Cnv0414
Casey on her bike!
(Needs tubes, but those held for a while anyway)...

.
.
And me walking with the camera.

I found this in the crack of the concrete by the garage. And it looks like and African Violet?

.
.
Cnv0416
Maybe you know what it is?
Because up here, African Violets are only houseplants....
.
.
Not too much other news. I fell yesterday morning because of my back. I didn't move for a while either. Punk came to the entrance and lay right down beside me. I'd seen her coming and thought "oh no" because I thought she would try to play or something...
She laid her head down next to mine and peeked at me over her eyebrows. I did get back to my cell phone and 'called' Jenne upstairs.

All is back to normal for now,
except for the reappearance of the beast himself. jackass

.This too shall pass...

Have a grand weekend!

Love to all

XOXO

  1. WOW! That is pretty crappy about your pool. I only wish I had one. Everyone looks well. I am sorry to hear about your back. I love how Punk came to be with you in your time of pain. Now you will have to teach her how to fetch the phone. I hope you have a great weekend and stay cool.

    Lots of love to you!!!!!

  2. Oh dear Anne,
I sure hope your back gets better soon. I'm so sorry you fell down, but I guess Punk realizes by
now that he needs to just sit next to you until you say differently. You are going to have to make
some changes soon and have something done.

Your property looks wonderful the way it is. That plant looks just like an African Violet, but I guess
it's probably not so, unless someone thru one away and it decided to put down roots and grow in
the outdoors. Stranger things have happened. :)

The deer ruin everything that happens to be in their path or if they just want to be nosy. They
ruin gardens and they run through Town here, one even got in one of the stores last year!! lol
I love them but they are much nicer in their own wilderness setting!!!

My head is not working right this morning so I guess I'll just go back to my recliner for a bit. I
woke up with a really fuzzy head and a headache. I think we are going to get rain and possible
    thunder.

Have a great weekend and big hugs to you, Casey and Jenne....

    Bev xo

  3. I thought that when I seen you got a pool, about how you were going to keep wild animals out of it, not a problem in the city, although there is a neighborhood cat ive found sitting on the first stair of my pool, so unusual for a cat, but shows just how hot its getting here, Ive tried to snap a photo but of course the cat runs when she sees me coming. I hope you get the pool fixed soon. falling is never a good thing, you need to wear your cell phone on you at all times for your safety. I do now on Pauls insistance but it is a good idea.

  4. Sweet Annie,
Hope you get the pool fixed soon. I'll have to get pics of all of them in this one.
So glad punk came to stay with you. She's learning when to just be there for you. Such a smart girl!
Casey looks great in her suit. Jenn looks so cool in the pool. I hope her toes came back. It's much easier to balance with all your toes. LOL.
The yard looks fine. Stop obsessing so. It will get done when your back eases up or when you get some more help to get it done. I realize it bothers you but it looks great to us.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Hugs from Usuns in KY (temporarily IN). LOLOLOL

  5. That really is a bad week. I hope this weekend picks back up for you. I've never heard of dear going for pool water even if it did need a shock. I about wet myself reading about the "shock" treatment.

  6. Well that sucks about the pool and your back take your feet out from under you!
Glad Punk and Jenne were there for you.

    Stay cool!

  7. Sweet Mommy,

Oh my! I really wish there was something I could do about the back issue. I know the doc said there's nothing, but I was once told that too... I didn't know you fell, but that must've been when that jack-ass in the pic above kicked you... I'm glad Punk understood... I'm sure she would've helped you up if she could've... Thinking of that just churned my stomach and makes me nervous to know that something like that can happen and what would happen if you were alone... Scares me...

Hopefully the hunters (Greg K. and his brother along with Jim) will tag a few of those culprits who have done that to your pool...

I think you're resting right now, I just called to see if anything needed to be done around there before any storms came because it's awfully cloudy and mysterious outside. No answer on the cell so I called Jen... I will let you rest, and I'll talk to you later...

I will stay home from LARP tonight just in case you need anything. Please call if you do, ANYTHING at all...

    I love you MUCH MUCH!
    ~Casey

  8. Sorry to hear the back is at it again.. Hopefully it will loosen up and feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about the pool.. not sure even the chlorine would have deterred the deer.. but it would be worth a shot..
Now how about sending some of that rain down south.. Lots of us needing it badly!

I think the flower/plant is a wild violet.. I have some under a tree at the house in Arkansas.. I am very careful not to cut them down.. but I think when JT hit the poison ivy with the roundup I think that got it. Oh well.. I figure better to get rid of the poison ivy.

Big hugs sweety.. even if I do disagree with you politically..hehe

  9. Sorry that the "burro" knocked you on yours.....

And what the heck! Did the deer knock the pool down or walk in it and poke holes in it?

    Wisconsin violet clearly.

good thing Casey didn't have horrendous taste in bathingsuits even back then or that could have been a whole other picture! Instead she looks gorgeous as always.

    Feel better soon!

  10. Damned deer... Makes ya wonder though, since you've had the pool up, how many times the deer walked over to it (not getting too close though) and looked at it wondering what it was... LOL!

Casey looks great! It does my heart good to see her out playing and having fun!

The missing toes was magic! hehehe

Sorry about your back. Love how gentle Punk can be. She knew you were hurting and was trying to comfort you. Carry your cell with you at all times, that way if it were to happen again, you won't have to try and get up, crawl, move to get it...

Hope you have a lovely weekend!

    Love Ya!

  11. Sweet Sweet Darla!
I hope all is well with your family? And how come Mr. Dalton doesn't write me anymore?
Please give him a big old hug and kiss from me?

My back is so bad that even the pills don't do much, even aspirin- But I do get bruises if I take that for long.

Generally I do have my cell phone with me. But it was very early- I had let Punk out and went to tend to the load of laundry-
Walking back, andthe pain just shot up and down- I have a wooden bracket at the top of the basement steps- (And sudder to think if that hadn't been flipped for me to grab). I steadied myself there for a moment or three, then tried to walk to the kitchen.
No dice- Too much pain, and nothing to grab at that point.

But it's a gentle fall anyway- (Not like skidding in the snow to only end up on a rock solid ice rock on ones butt).
Just that I couldn't quite move after.

It is a beautiful day today!
Hi in the 70's so far (maybe low 80's), and we had one too brief of a rain shower.

Love right backatcha! (And to Dalton too of course)

  12. Sweet Bev;
Believe me, no one was sorrier when I hit the floor than I was! I just can't believe how much this hurts- And when it all just goes so sharp like that it is godawful.
I have an appointment for mid-July for my headaches- Will promise to go in earlier if that happens again with my back though. it would have been really nasty if it was Winter because I really don't heat that entrance- (And the carpeting is set on bare concrete).
    hehehe

Those DAMNED deer! I was so upset.
You are right, they are nice in the wilderness.
They are MUCH nicer in my freezer...

    Love those hugs!

    XOXO

  13. Sweet Pamela!
Why on earth did these deer never cross my mind???
I will be putting up the plastic bag deterrents when I finally get busy- (and coordinated enough to re~put it up).
Or maybe I'll just come to your pool! hehehe

You know, once I had my cell in my hand, I promptly put it in the pocket of my nightie.

    XOXO

  14. Sweet Cille!
I only wish I could get it fixed soon. But it will come soon enough I am sure. At least we are not in those nasty 90's anymore- (Knock on wood).
I was afraid that Punk would want to play, seeing me on the floor and all- But she brought tears to my eyes when she just watched me with those big brown eyes of her own. And waited til I was ready to move-
Glad I can still do a push up here and there, THAT truly helped me get to the stair rail.

I know I obsess about my yard... Long story that- but as long as it doesn't look abandoned I'm OK. And if it does look that way, then thank God I have Punk! hehehe

Hugs to you too, no matter where you are!

  15. Sweet Athena!

I wish I could have at least seen that water shove the deer across the lawns...

The pool cover (above) by the apple trees? That's where I'd found it that morning- A good 35 feet away! Glad I'd just covered up the tube thing too because it ended up quite nicely wrapped in that cover.
The little clown-bear thermometer ended up on the far east lawn.
    Pool "fetch" toys everywhere.

You are right. it was a nasty week.
But as always, things could be much worse. Happy I got this blog out of my system- Maybe everything gets better from here on out.

  16. Sweet Oka;
"Sucks" is a great word for it too!
I tried hollering for Jenne a couple of times. But she was still asleep, with the door closed, upstairs- and the fan running in her room. She never heard me. So that is why I finally called her cell phone.

  17. Hey Sweet Baby Girl;
I was resting- But Jenne had left the phones kind of out of reach. (Gotta blame someone).

As I told you on the phone, you may NOT give up game to babysit your darn mother.
That is NOT how it works in this house.
--- So there! (Have fun)! hehehe

I didn't hurt myself you silly kid- I only fell down.
And I didn't mention it yesterday because I know you worry too much.
(And God knows you need nothing more to be making your tummy churn).

Have you seen the herd of damn deer this year?
The hunters will need more tags this year to get rid of them all.

    Love you forevermorelonger.

    XOXO

  18. Sweet Beep;
Not a day has gone by without this damn back of mine being poopy. I am just so tired of it. I know that disks do not repair themselves, so am thinking I'd better get used to them hurting-.There's 4 that are shot.

I have many of the wild violets around here- They have naturalized into all of my lawns, and I am not as careful as you are! I mow right over them!
Do you want more in Arkansas?
(Know that I can only send about 1000, or so). hehehe

Please send JT up here- I have more than a few thistles in the back lawn that need spraying. (I have the round up, just need his back)!

    Hugs rightbackatcha!
(And no worries, politics are NOT deal breakers, nor enemy makers).

  19. Aw crap Sweet Pea- Now I have to go outside and shoot a few of my violets so you can see how they turn to weeds around here.

I think the deer must have tried to reach its neck over to take a drink and collapsed it.
But I did not check the liner either- (You may have a point there that makes sense).
    Damn venison.

"Casey" and "gorgeous" do go hand in hand!

  20. Sweet SlurkieBaby,
Know that Miss Punk has generally had her face in the window, (looking longingly at the water), and would have let me know if there were any intruders... BUT, that night was really an uncomfortable style of sticky and warm. I had kept the windows closed, and the A/C on.
AND I had slept later than normal too.

Somewhere close by, there is a wretchedly spooked deer that is still trying to get all the water out of his sinuses.
I just hope he didn't think it was a "fun" ride...

I do love my dog- More and more every day.

    Like I luvs you too!

  21. Of course I worry!!! You have been there through all my turmoil and hospital stays and surgeries... So it's only right that I be there for you!!! That's what family means, friends too!!!

I will get to game eventually... Greg has been working on his programming stuff on the computer and reading really funny twitter messages... I sound like an alarm clock because every 10 min I remind him of the time... Not that it matters, no one shows up to game until about 7pm... So we still have time. He's in the shower now so I assume he'll be ready to go soon...

I still worry though, don't forget to call me if you need anything...

    Love you MUCH MUCH!
