Good Morning All;
Thought I should thank everyone for their "wunnaful" birthday wishes!
Even Jenne came down yesterday, no 'good morning' as she came around the corner-
Just "Happy Birthday Mom" Very cool!
She was up before 4AM, to make sure that Aaron was up and ready to come and drive her back.
- He flew into Milwaukee where Jenne and Isaiah picked him up.

Jenne waving!- She left a bunch of stuff here, saying for me to sell it in the rummage sale- Aaron had to fit his stuff in the little car as well.
- Randy stopped here yesterday..

- He was working up by his Dads all weekend, but will be here to watch the place while we are gone. (Nice to have a zillion vacation days, eh)? Maybe he can pull a weed or ten thousand.
Gone?
Seems as though everyone is leaving... hehehe
Casey and I will be leaving this morning for Minnesota- She has some testing to be done, and an exam by Dr. Sutherland- (Both for the TP/AIT transplant, and the colon removal).
Her appointment is for 8 tomorrow morning, so unless I care to leave at 3AM tomorrow???
Nah. So I made reservations for tonight...
Punk went to the vet yesterday-
She has been 'tired' for the last 5 days now-- She has all of her energy; just for some very very short spans of time.
- The vet checked her over and saw everything was fine.
- If it continues I will bring her back in for blood test and maybe an Xray-
- (Given the fact that Mama Milly had cancer, this behavior kinda scares me).
- No wait, it scares the hell out of me.
- Will include the toxicity tag below so I can go through all the recalls and potential poisons.
She is eating and drinking- (Wait a second, I must feed her. Hang on). hehehe
Ok. (Yup, she IS eating and drinking just fine)!
Now she is full, and has had a rimadyl and her joint meds too- & back to resting.

Took this 2 days ago- She sure is out of sorts.
Not sure how to explain it... Just "not right" for sure.
It occurs to me that makes her fit right in!

We had a full weekend!
As did Baby Sam...- He turned ONE on the 4th!

1st you have to wait for Daddy to take the picture!.

Then you have to dig in!.

Then you have to wonder where it went?!?!.

And then have some watermelon
(washes everything off)! hehehe

I shall have to get one of Daddy Chucks baby pictures because Sam doesn't look like anyone I know!
His Grandpa Rick, has blue eyes, but not as bright-
Berta's are hazel. Chucks are blue.
At any rate, this grandmother says Baby Sam sure is a doll! Thank you Chuck!
Kelli and Michelle rode over on Friday-- All the way from Michelle's place- (She lives about 9 miles away).
- These are 2 of Michelle's horses, she said they needed the exercise!

ReplyDeleteThese are the dog days of summer, hence everyone's feeling out of sorts and sluggish. I hope this is all that's the matter with Punk. Try not to worry overmuch.
I hope all goes well with Casey's visit with Dr. Sutherland. I think he'll be as amazed by her recovery as we all have been watching her recovery in pictures. What a girl!! She's one daughter who is worth more than three!
Sam, just as all your other grandchildren, is adorable! I didn't realize when he was born last year that his birthday was so close to your own.
You gave Jenne a safe refuge, where she could spend some time reflecting on what's important to her future. I hope she made the right decision. Time will tell. And BTW, you're a great mom!
I hope you can find some time to use the swimming pool at the hotel. Between that and the typically hard beds at hotels maybe your back will feel better before the long ride home.

You know, I keep mulling this over in my head as to logical reasons for Jenne's behavior....

Is it possible that after all the reasons she had for leaving, she is either embarrassed to be going back to that
OR
Like a teenager making mountains out of molehills to justify a behavior and then being caught out? You know what I mean? Some couple breaks up and you hear all the "how horrible" only to have them get back together shortly and then the story changes????
No clue. Weird.
I think maybe Punk was sensing the stuff going on with Jenne... Animals are odd that way. Hopefully by the time that you get back from MN she will be back to 'normal'!

Casey left me a note last night saying that her alarm is set for 6:45. Not sure if she can eat anything or not beforehand. I know I won't! (Had to pull over a few times after eating a plain old Wendys burger yesterday)...

Casey actually did most of the driving- I was in the back seat, and even snoozed for a while.

I did hand the wheel to Casey- We got stopped by a train, not even out of Green Bay, and did this driver change in the middle of the stop.
I woke up on the other side of Wausau when she stopped to get gas.
I would love to ride too- Haven't been on a horse for some time...
Maybe we should meet on the big island (Mackinac) and rent horses for a couple of days.

Top picture? That was about 10 minutes of hysterical fun when Punk and Casey had her tug toy.
Then they both ran out of gas!
Casey also had to change her jeans with BIG grass stains on the hinder and the knees.
Not even sure who "won" either
And poor Greg just watched with this grinning puzzled look...
I called Jenne to find out where they were yesterday afternoon- They were in St. Louis.
They have to pull over quite frequently- as on the way here- because Isaiah is very susceptible to blood clots if he is still for too long.
Hotel here... They removed the pool here to add on to the place. So no pool.
I did see a few pools in peoples backyards on the ride over- Perhaps I shall stop in on the way home.
And I thought the bed here would kill me, but just tucked a few pillows around and was ok until I got up.
I do hope that Dr. Sutherland finds Casey well. (She already holds the record for "most islet cells recovered" in his almost 30 years of doing this surgery).

Jenne was crying kinda hard at one point- (Casey immediately picked up the phone to get her some fast counseling)-
Punk had no clue how to react either- She just came by me and hid under the table, keeping herself pressed to my legs.
