Catfish ~n~ Cookbooks!

Good Morning!
I hope you all had a splendid weekend!

I was going to sit and catch up a bit here. Not going to happen as my back just will not be comfy any which way. (Might have overdid it on the outside work). But that is almost all done for 2009. (Say "YAY")!

.
Recipe?  Food?!?!  Mmmmmmmmmmmm
Being partial to Parmesan cheese, I chose Oka's recipe suggestion for my catfish.
It was SO very good! (And I am quite happy to have a few pieces leftover too)!

  1. There's something very odd about the timing of this post. It says you posted this at 11:08AM but it didn't appear in my inbox until almost 6PM. Strange.

    Your catfish looks yummy.

  2. Glad you like that recipe that I found and never tried. Between you, me and the rest of the world, I can't stand any kind of seafood. The Parmesan is why I chose to share the recipe though :D

    The cookbook is for an awesome cause!

  3. It post the time you started writing the blog, unless you change the time before you post.

  6. I am not a fish eater... The most I will eat is fish sticks... I know, I know, I'm weird... The tartar sauce, pickles and corn look good though!

  8. Sweet Oka;
    Trust me. You would be a convert had you tasted this fish.
    ...And I promise not to write about how you should eat fish, that it is way good for your brain and your bones, and that it is essential for a very healthy immune system...

  10. Sweet Carolyn!
    hehehe
    I think I just filled "the whole world" in on how cool Micki has set this all up in memory of Mariah.

    I've never had catfish before, (just knew I don't care for breaded fish unless it's fresh bay perch; even then I much prefer a beer batter on it). I altered the recipe a bit, as I do with everything except souffles, and it was SO yummy!

  11. Sweet/Sour Pea;
    Pickles are bread and butter variety, made with love by some dang canning factory in the U.S of A.

    I chopped a few up and threw them in my homemade tartar sauce if you must know.

    THEN, since they were on the counter, I had to throw a few on my plate. After I ate I had a few more for dessert.

  12. Sweet Weird SlurkieBaby!
    Fish-sticks, me no likey!
    Though I served them regularly when the girls were young. (Now they are old). hehehe But even then, they were Mrs.-Something battered fillets. (I believe they were whitefish); very good in a pinch.

    Good grief! You and Oka not liking fish?!?!
    I should promise not to write about how you should eat fish, that it is way good for your brain and your bones, and that it is essential for a very healthy immune system...

    That corn fell right out of me. (Corn usually does, but there comes a time that I just HAVE to HAVE IT too). Was shopping with Casey and we found the frozen little single serve containers that one throws in the microwave. I am not impressed, but thought I would try it too.
    ... Methinks I will just eat fresh frozen from a regular bag from now on.
