[My] Life in Wisconsin

Are YOU Ready?

12-18-2008

Good Evening All;
Anything I would write at this point would be so depressing that I would have to unpost it later. hehehe?
I won't write much. (Suffice to say between my head and my back, neither is winning, but they keep on warring anyway).
Punk did go to see Dr. Spires yesterday- For whatever reason, (maybe her injury as a pup), her glands just don't fix themselves as they should. She is OK for now once again.

As is Casey!
Isn't it hard to believe but it has been exactly one year since Casey's TP/AIT?

Hard to believe also that it is 26 degrees above-
So by my calculations that is a full 40 degrees warmer than it was then
!
Nice, that.
I am, and always will be, "wonderfilled"  that Casey is such a gift to me, and an inspiration to everyone who faces any kind of adversity.
This "anniversary" is a miracle, even though she is still facing two more prolonged surgeries. (One is about 11 hours).

Speaking of weather, (was too),  if you are part of the 50 Million people in the pathway of the Eastern Storms/Blizzards, please stay safe and warm. Know where your flashlights and your can openers are...

I am unprepared for Christmas. It will remain that way.
I am not sending Christmas cards/presents this year. Know I love y'all even if I can't afford to do all that this time around. Casey got the mail yesterday!  Thank you to all that sent me a card. I do appreciate them all.
As many of you already know, I put them up for everyone that visits to see/read!

My Yahoo email "seems" to be working again. I tried to report the problem etc, and kept getting pages that said the page was closed, or moved with no forward link. Dang Yahoo anyway.

*** For those of you who receive my updates through your email, and if you missed yesterdays blog, (as written by Punk), here is that link.
http://flintville.multiply.com/journal/item/918

I must get the shopping done for my little Christmas Brunch. That get~together is always such a high point, for the year, for me.
I once blew up an entire dish of beef hash on John. While we didn't have hash that year, the look on his face as he stood 6 inches away when my dish went "bang" will remain imprinted on my psyche forever.

I'd better close- Can't stand the light for long...
Hope your spirits are all wonder~filled!

Love to all

XOXO
Me

PS
I received the following link to click and note in my email today.
It is not too late to make your voice heard.

The latest Senate health care bill has no public option. No expansion of Medicare. And it does too little to guarantee that uninsured Americans will actually be able afford the coverage they'll be required to purchase.

But it's not too late to fix the bill. And as Joe Lieberman has shown, just one senator willing to stand in the way can force legislation to be changed dramatically.

Senator Bernie Sanders has already made clear that he's opposed to the legislation in its current form. I just signed a petition urging him and other progressives to block it until it's fixed. Will you join me?

http://pol.moveon.org/block/?r_by=18359-14408432-fU5ZDvx&rc=paste

Thanks

The petition reads: "America needs real health care reform—not a massive giveaway to the insurance companies. Senator Bernie Sanders and other progressives should block this bill until it's fixed."

Despite this latest setback, we can still win the health care fight. The House has already passed a strong health care bill with a real public option. It would cover millions of uninsured Americans, offer real competition to the insurance companies, and reduce costs in the long run.

MoveOn members overwhelmingly support the House bill. But it's clear from member feedback and surveys that the majority of MoveOn members oppose the Senate bill as it now stands.4

And recent polls show growing opposition among grassroots progressives generally—the very folks Democrats in Washington count on to volunteer and donate to their campaigns.5 One found that one-third of Democratic voters will be less likely to vote next year if Congress doesn't pass a public option.6

So to get real reform, we need to immediately send a powerful message to Senate progressives like Bernie Sanders, Roland Burris, and Russ Feingold that we're counting on them to block this bill until it's fixed.

Click here to add your name to the petition:

  4. lol, omg....this sounds like something that would happen to me! :)

I wish you could get some relief from your pain dear, it's been going on much too long. {{hugs}} I've had my second shot this morning and I am feeling so much better than a couple of weeks ago. I am feeling good enough to be back at work come this Sunday night. I have 10 pound restrictions and of course position restrictions as well, so I should be fine.

I shall be checking the link up above, thanks for posting it.

  5. Petition signed! :-)

It truly IS amazing that it has been a year since CaseyFace had her TP/AIT! She has come SO far and done SO well, she really is inspiring!

I would have sent you a Christmas card but I didn't have your address :( Hoping an online greeting card will be OK?

I am far from being ready for Christmas... Only about halfway done with shopping. *sigh*

Hope that your head gets better soon... Do you see the spine man anytime soon for your back??

    Take care and stay warm!

    Love Ya!

    Slurkie :-)

  6. Online Merry Christmas wishes are fine by me. I didn't send any Christmas cards out this year either.

It amazes me that a year has already gone by since Casey's pancreatic surgery. I remember the little tree you sneaked into her room, along with Punk. And you're absolutely right Casey is truly an inspiration to all of us!

Blowing up food is something I've never done - because I'm a good cook - (hehehe!) Out of morbid curiousity I have to ask - how do you blow-up hash?

I hope your head and back feel better soon. And I'm glad to hear that Punk's back to her old self!

  7. I can only imagine what you were all going through this time last year and I am so GLAD that this year is different .. I know Casey still has more to go through but think about where she was and how far she has come .. She is an inspiration to us all ..

I can imagine the look when your hash blew up and I can imagine how much you must have chuckled at this also ..

I am glad your mail is back working .. Its a pain when things don't go as they should .. I am having problems seeing all the pics .. Seems like anything in gif , well I cannot see only a red X .. I don't know if its something to do with the move or my computer ..

I never send cards .. I say every year I am going too but never do BUT I love sending them online ..

Take care of yourself Annie ..Big hugs

  8. Glad at least that Casey and Punk are doing ok. Looks like me and you both need a overhaul.

I am as ready as ready is gonna get for Christmas. I decorated a little and sent out cards. No Christmas will be bought again this year and that is just fine with me. I hate shopping anyway. I honestly doubt I would like shopping any better if I had a million dollars to spend while doing it.

I was up almost all of last night myself. Had a slight headache near bedtime and took the wrong pills. What I took didn't help the headache at all and I had to wait at least 4 hours before I could take the migraine pills. So I raised up and looked at the clock every 10 minutes. Not been asleep yet. Excedrin Migraine is loaded in caffeine and I'm still a little wired. I'm hoping for a nap reeeeeeeal soon.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Merry Christmas! Glad to hear Punk and Casey are doing well. I sent cards... we did some decorating and I did a little baking but with redoing the roof and the kitchen (our christmas to each other) not doing much of anything else. I am unemployed after all.

As to the health care fiasco.... its a bunch of crap if you ask me. How can these men and women vote for something they havent read? How can they vote to allow one state over another to not pay in to the medicare for years and years?

Something as horrible as this is better than nothing? I think not! These are supposed to be educated people why is is so difficult for them to figure out that what they are proposing is not what the American people want.
We want real reform not a damn give away... as to forcing the American people to all buy in to a plan.. I dont really see that happening with the costs skyrocketing they way the are and will do.

And all of it.. to not even go into effect for another 4 or 5 years... its ridiculous. But lets hurry and rush through something that doesnt even do what it was meant to do. Pathetic!

This anniversary was a great thing! YAY!

I added the date now, so people won't be confused. (Sorry about that).

Happy you signed the petition! Maybe a few of our own votes there even counted? Hope so. Somehow.

With the Public Option off the table though I am very upset. Hopefully that will be the very next change in health care reform.

I am almost jealous of your 10# restriction.
My own is 3#'s. So I ust carry on and tell myself that everything weighs 2 #'s. hehehe It gets the work done. Hard to stand now for long. The dishes in the sink are pretty much piled up. But there are worse things than soaking dishes. (Yes, I change the water if it;s more than a day). hehehe

    Morbid curiosity? hehehe
I cooked my hash in a casserole dish that year, and set it on the stovetop when I took it out of the oven.
For some reason, (probably an imperfection in the glassware), it decided to blow up. ALL OVER JOHN!
It's funny now, but in 20 years, it was the only one without the hash.

A year ago I believe I was running on only prayers and adrenalin. The days all blurred into about 2- and those were traveling there, and coming home.

Yes! We do both need that overhaul. But in lieu of that, perhaps you and I could just take an extended vacation somewhere? Sounds like fun to me anyway!

I saw your beautiful decorations! Know that your own energizer bunny spirit amazes and moves me. You are one of a kind!

There is nothing slower than a watched clock. I hate those nights... Have had plenty myself and wish them on my enemies only. hehehe
Then again the day nap that follows is quite nice!

Your roof is something you will enjoy every time it rains! There is nothing like a metal roof when it rains. (And you will have to say "Merry Christmas" to each other every time you hear it).
Your employment s(h)ituation will change abruptly, and you will want these days back. Trust me.

Now about the healthcare... Not sure if YOU have read the Senate bill? Or just the house bill? They are two different entities ya know. (I included the link on a prior post and am not going to look it up again). Maybe click on my healthcare tag.
2000 pages, but all double spaced. An easy read.

Once again, I have NO IDEA where on Earth you find your facts.
You said, "all of it.. to not even go into effect for another 4 or 5 years"

    NOT TRUE! Read on.

It is important to look past the bickering and cable chatter and remember that we are on the verge of providing real benefits to Americans who simply CANNOT wait any longer.

There are some great elements of this bill that will take some time to set up, such as the new insurance marketplace -- the "Exchange" -- that allows people without insurance and small businesses to compare plans and buy insurance at competitive prices.

But there are a lot of other benefits for families that will kick in during the first year if we get this passed:

    * In the first year, we will make it illegal for insurance companies to drop coverage for Americans.

    * In the first year, more of your money will start going where it belongs: towards your care instead of excessive insurance company profits or TV ads. We will start forcing insurance companies to report the proportion of premium dollars that are not spent on medical care -- including profits. If a company isn’t spending enough of its premium dollars providing benefits for families, it will have to issue rebate checks to its customers to make up the difference.

    * In the first year, all insurance plans will have to begin covering preventive services, helping to shift our health care from just sickness to wellness. If you purchase insurance on your own, you will receive preventive care from your doctor without paying a co-pay.

    * In the first year, seniors will see major relief in paying for prescription drugs. The gap in coverage with Medicare, the so-called "donut hole," will start to close for good.

This bill will reduce premiums for family, shifting the balance of power from your insurance company back to you.

Health reform extends coverage to 30,000,000 Americans without adding a dime to the Federal deficit. In fact, it represents the largest reduction to the deficit in well over a decade.

The final bill hasn't taken shape yet. There are several more steps in the process, and the President is committed to making it the best bill possible to provide security for those who have insurance and affordable, quality coverage for those who don't.

    *****************

So it is not as contemptable as you think it is.
These are only a part of what kicks in, in the FIRST YEAR alone!

Without the public option though... I am very mad about that. They'd better start writing up the new public option bill and quickly.
But yes, some IS better than nothing.
    It's a start Sweetie.
Unfortunately this plan, without the public option, mostly only benefits the insurance companys.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's an interesting statement....because Cee and I were both watching CNN just moments ago and they stated that it will cost over $871 BILLION...don't sound like it represents a reduction to me....

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wrong again, or you are hearing wrong, or bending the cost curve the wrong way.

From Fox News Sunday, CBO analysis...

"The fact is that it REDUCES the deficit in the first 10 years by 130 BILLION
... and in the 2nd ten years by 1.3 TRILLION.

Yes there will be a modest increase, but you'd expect that when you are covering 30 million people."

What? You wouldn't pay a few extra cents on your paycheck to ensure that down the line Cee is covered by a health insurance policy?

Or is it that everyone wants something for nothing?

Casey was diagnosed at 18... Tread lightly.

  22. How come so many do not understand this? It is simply written on an 8 year old level.
The above wasn't even written in formal "legalese"...

    Big sigh here kids...
Wake up, there are people DYING for this healthcare reform to pass. And just because it isn't you or a loved one doesn't mean it won't be in the future.

No wonder other countries laugh at our arrogance!, Right?

    XOXO
    Me

    ReplyDelete
  23. NO I DID NOT HEAR WRONG NOR AM I BENDING THE COST CURVE. I know what I heard AND saw on CNN. Cee even made a comment about it. So don't sit there and tell me what I did or did not see. Fox news is a joke anyway. They couldn't report the news correctly if their lives depended on it. The way I see it, the dem's are pushing this through as fast as they can while everyone is busy with christmas so they don't know what's going on.

    ReplyDelete
  24. First question Pam, what exactly, is a cost curve?
Yes you heard wrong- Or hey it was reported wrong.
Did you even read what I wrote? Did you see the TRILLION $ savings? Or did you just prefer not to comment on the cost savings?

    Anyway... bigger sigh kids...

Believe what you wish. But explain this.
How come the most vocal opponents are those whom the bill is designed to protect in the first place?
IMHO, That's just dough~headed if ya ask me.

    Good grief.

So I am guessing that those few extra cents on your paycheck won't be going toward ensuring that Cee will not have to go through a whole bunch of BS just to save her life?

... insert another good grief here.

    XOXO

By the way, I am not sitting Sweet Doubtfire. If you would come around except when you are told to (which I get a huge kick out of), then you would already know this.

    ReplyDelete
  25. So therefore you agree that we Americans DO have our priorities all wrong? I've been saying this forever.
Again, no wonder other countries laugh at us. Seems they have a right to.

    ReplyDelete
  26. YOU tell me as it was YOU that mentioned a cost curve first not me.

And NO I DID NOT HEAR WRONG!!! There is no savings in no way shape or form. Keep believing all the Obama B.S. I will not be brainwashed like so many of his "followers".

Oh and heave all the sighs you want.

    ReplyDelete

  27. Wow- You sure yell a lot.
And the bit about brainwashing? Paranoid too I see.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hate to tell ya this but I don't get told to "come around". The only time I mosy around mulitply is on SUNDAY because I work for a living. Between working ten and twelve hour days, getting ready for christmas, getting Cee through finals at school AND the passing of my dad, I have better things to do than SIT at the computer all the damn time spreading around B.S.

    ReplyDelete

  29. Sorry about your dad. Mine died too. I know how it feels.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Um, yeah you do. (Please get an account of your own with this site. Stat counter.com).

Be that as it may, the rest of your explanation shows your paranoia with the matter at hand, wouldn't you agree?

And there ya are, worried about Christmas, when you could be actually spending your time reading that which you are whining about. 'Spose you'll be attending mass and remembering what Christmas IS about?

    XOXO
    Me

    PS hehehe
As far as doing better things with your time, then why not do just that?!?

    ReplyDelete

  31. I reiterate...

How come the most vocal opponents are those whom the bill is designed to protect in the first place?

    ReplyDelete
  32. You are such a moron...I know when I go to pages and when I don't. I DO NOT ALLOW OTHERS TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO....unlike you and all your little followers. There are several pages I go to every week or so and yours just happens to be one of them. Why do you have all these little stat counters anyway? Just so you can keep track of people? Talk about being paranoid as to who views your page.

And I was in now WORRIED about Christmas. And Christmas is a whole lot better than worried about political issues as you are. You are so wrapped up with politics, YOU have forgotten what Christmas is all about...and, no, I won't be going to Mass BECAUSE I'M NOT CATHOLIC! Thank goodness!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I could care less about whom comes to my page. Multiply tells me that much anyway.
I do however like to know if anything is copied. Or pictures too.

    My "little followers".
What a bunch of baloney comes out of your keyboard. Better keep that in check from now on, OK?

I actually DO have some very constructive arguments within my pages, but I do have a tendency just to giggle at those who are uninformed and ignorant.
(I promise to work on that impatience level in the New Year).

FYI, this really IS the first mention I have made about ANYthing political in a very long time. Yes, that was the last time you came around and had anything to say. hehehe

Must be nice to be able to rub this in our faces and still be able to sleep at night....

How about thinking about others before opening up that mouth of yours??? It is so uncalled for to make disrespectful statements such as these... Ever hear the expression about having nice things to say?? Because low blows beget low blows lady....

  44. heres the link to this story from CNN:

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/12/20/health.care/index.html

Just skimming the article, the only thing mentioning $871 Billion is this:

"The $871 billion Senate bill would be the largest deficit-reduction measure in a decade, Obama said Saturday.

"We are on the cusp of making health care reform a reality," the president said.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the legislation could decrease the deficit by $132 billion over the first decade, and more than $1 trillion in the 10 years afterward, Obama said at a brief news conference."

Really why do you come around other than to give Anne hell??

    ReplyDelete
  45. Well now, if THAT'S not the pot calling the kettle black...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Good Grief! You are SO defensive! What in the world has life done to you to make you defensive about EVERY little thing?

It is disrespectful because Casey LIVES in excruciating pain, Anne LIVES in excruciating pain. They physically CAN'T work. You are disrespectful because you are insinuating that they don't work because they choose not to. This is not the case. They can't work because their bodies WILL NOT let them.

You are quick to toss out how many hours a day you work and that you are alone and pay your own way... I think you are looking for pity. You WANT people to feel sorry for you. You are a sad, sad person. I DO feel sorry for you but not for the reasons that you might want...

I have a busy week and I don't know how I will ever get it done, I guess thats the joy of Christmas Eve when the kids are in bed, its no more time to waist so I wrap them so the kids can unwrap them in just a few short hours.
I will check the link, and also sign my john hancock as well....hehe

    UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I am all for ones opinion, but I don't understand why people show up here and mis-quote what they think they heard. Why they can't take the time to research crap, but instead choose to listen to brain-washing crap from one extreme or another. They hear bits and pieces from people they actually don't know and think they can make an educated decision from someone who is more than happy to bring out less than all the points. So frustrating.

Back to the great part of your blog, I am for one am grateful that God still has a plan for Casey. I think that anniversaries like this should be celebrated like wedding anniversaries.

All in all, I am prepared for Christmas, aside for getting the house ready for company, but I have two more days for that :D

LMAO thanks for the holiday's funniest moment recall. That had me chuckling good.

  50. couple this with your reply that you sent through PM to Ohiochik....

I have no clue where your compassion is for others, but I fail to see it.
This is Christmas...God showed us compassion by sending his son to forgive of all our sins. Celebrating Christmas should be a reminder of this compassion he shared with us and encourage us to practice this compassion.

Personally, Doubtfire, if you have such issues with Anne, her friends and family, why come back her to start so much crap and make false accusations about others? Why judge others if you feel they have no right to judge you. It seems you could completely avoid all of this if you didn't come to start stuff.

  51. I have been wondering this as well. Methinks she just likes the drama and attention (even though it is negative)

Damn straight I'm going to get defensive when someone calls me arrogant or disrespectful as I was neither of those things. I am NOT looking for pity or sympathy as you imply. People such as yourself and all the "followers" are the ones looking for pity because you always think you are right. Well, you're not.You have no idea what I've been through in my life and thank god you are not on my list because you wouldn't be for long because you and all of the "followers" only care about one thing and one thing alone..YOURSELVES! If anyone is defensive about comments it's you and everyone else on a particular page. Not me. I will defend myself to the bitter end and I don't need someone such as yourself telling me or anyone else that I am out looking for pity. You should pity yourselves.

  55. There are times that it feels like it was ages ago- And other times, (like knowing the 2 more surgeries you will have), that it feels like last week- And it all starts up again for me.

Those were the hardest days of my own life- Yours too. And that kind of imprint does not just go away.
    Is it tough? yes.
    Are you tougher?
    Yes, you are that also.
You have taught me SO much. And I am everso proud of you

  56. CaseyFace;
She only insinuated her arrogance because she 'has' a job, and she judges those who may not. For whatever reason she believes she has that right.
You are to lose no sleep over anyone that would "dis" you this way. Period.

Trust me, she does not even own the sewing machine she uses, let alone the factory. That job, and her good health could both be gone tomorrow. It is people like DoubtFire that can never look ahead, and only behind. And that is sad, sad, sad.

They take for granted not only their employment and their good health, but their meals on the table as well, not realizing that one accident could trash all of that in a heartbeat.

Yes. We all need to think of others. In this healthcare fiasco as well. After all, it is a fact that none of us get out alive anyway.

i was reading this grand article when you called.
    Here is the link.
Entitled, "Health care reform: Saving American lives"
(Keith Olbermann on what really matters when it comes to health reform)
    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33213245/ns/msnbc_tv-countdown_with_keith_olbermann

It is very long, but the author, by virtue of being capable of "buying" his own fathers health, sure has his own priorities straight. He truly loves his neighbor and knows the right questions to ask. Please rad it when you have the time.

What the hell makes you think she does not pay her own way?
That's an absurd and stupid thing to write. (Sigh- I shall just have to consider the source).

  58. Great links Sweetie!
Sorry, but I cannot only read one story- I went on and one once I was there...

I do not have CNN, but I am giggling at the operative words I read...

Leaving out mathematics, chemistry and biology, here are the first three definitions of "reduction"

    re·duc·tion (r-dkshn)
    n.
    1. The act or process of reducing.
    2. The result of reducing: a reduction in absenteeism.
    3. The amount by which something is lessened or diminished

**** Therefore, it stands to reason that 'deficit reduction' would be minimizing said deficit.

Then you also copied the word "decrease"

What dya know? It said reduction. (See above).

I have no clue what Doubtfire "thinks" she heard...
...But like I said twice already, she obviously heard it wrong.

Again, I thank you for the direct link to CNN.

    XOXO
    me

    PS
No worries about herself giving me hell. I can take it.
*** Everybody should know by now that I do not take kindly to be called names, nor will I ever take kindly anyone trying to trash my youngest daughter.
But I will always fight back intelligently. (NOT without bitching though) hehehe
I have earned the right to call myself a bitch ya know.

  59. You are even more arrogant than I thought...

I'm sorry, let me fill you in on more than a few things:

    NUMBER ONE:

    ARROGANT
    –adjective

    1. making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights; overbearingly assuming; insolently proud: an arrogant public official.

    2. characterized by or proceeding from arrogance: arrogant claims.

***Pay attention to the first definition: OVERBEARINGLY ASSUMING... That is what I was referring to when I described you as arrogant, which you have FURTHER proved in this lovely comment that embellishes on your first one. And you do know what happens when you assume, right?***

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    NUMBER TWO:

The fact that you imply that my mother or myself is sitting at home on our asses is the first sign of ignorance and WAY off-base assumptions being made from you. Then you are even more boastful to say "using whatever excuse one has for NOT working"!!!

So here you go... You want the facts??? You want to know the full extent of why I, personally, can't work?? Fine, I'll give you those facts so that you're not misinformed. Not something I wish to share, but you've left me no choice on the matter when I must defend myself to the fullest:

~Excrutiating abdominal pain that is so intense I can't even move when it hits. I'm currently on morphine for the pain and it is now to the point that this EXTREME pain reliever doesn't even TOUCH the amount of pain I am in.

~My colon surgery has left me with little or no time to get to the bathroom when I have to go. Not only does this leave me open to accidents that only babies and incontinent adults know about, but this also leaves me unable to be kept away from the bathroom.

~This condition makes me sick after I eat and the medications make me drowsy. So it's either me vomiting all day, or extremely lethargic so take your pick.

Now I don't ever begin to try and speak for my mother as she is the only one who truly knows how bad her pain is, but I've personally seen her have days where walking the 20 feet or so from the couch to the kitchen is so painfully intolerable that she can barely move. Still, she pushes on and will never give up.

Do all these things leave me to even be able to sit up and be on the computer all day? NO. However, going online is one of the FEW things I am even capable of doing at this point. To have it insinuated that this is ALL I do, or that it is all my mother does, is so unbelievably disrespectful and ignorant that I can't even begin to express my disgust.

There is more to our lives that the computer. However, you have chosen to bring disrespect to this page and that's something I will NOT ignore. I will not sit quietly while you insult myself and my mother.

Yes, we are paying attention to this. Mom and I have also been busy trying to get ready for Christmas so don't you even DARE try to tell us that you know exactly how our days are spent. If you were in our shoes for one minute you would soil those tight underpants of yours so fast you wouldn't know what to do.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    NUMBER THREE:

As far as your accusation that we all only think of ourselves and cry for pity from others: I don't say these things to ignite any sort of recoil from you about expecting pity. I know you think that is what my mother and I are all about, but take a look around hers and my sites. If you even knew us at all you would know that's nothing we ask for from others.

Do I ask for support? Yes.

    Pity? No way in hell.

Do I sit and complain about everything? NO dear. And if you think I do you have a WHOLE 'nother thing coming.

It's called dealing with adversity. Yes, the situation sucks,

  60. Sweet Brat! (hehehe That sounds so funny when I put those two words together)...

You know enough to know that Casey is an inspiration! That is more than enough to start with. (And besides, I am old and frequently repeat myself, so you will have no problem catching up). ;-)

I do SOOOOO remember those Christmas Eves of doing everything that couldn't wait until the morning- After all, Santa waits for no one...
And don't ever forget to eat the cookies the kids leave out either- (Those few carbs might be the only thing that keeps you from falling asleep before you get all the work done).

The Christmas cards I didn't send are sitting in all my Christmas things- They will keep for next year- Maybe if the spirit moves me even after Christmas. "Never say never", or so they say.
Yes, and last year I did mail some in January. No one complained either.

My main problem is getting the mail out of the box- The traffic really is bad through here, and the mailbox is across the road. Me and my cane manage about once a week- More if Casey grabs it on her way in. God bless my baby girl that does so much for me.

  61. YAY Sweet Oka;
You are right- Casey is to be celebrated!

If I had company now I would curl up in a little ball. (Or maybe just plant them in front of the tree so the bright twinkling lights would not allow them to see anything else). hehehe

Many people only hear what they want to hear. (It is easier not to learn that way). There is an old poem about "she is more to be pitied than censured"
As for myself, I have to believe that is true about Pam, or I would simply block her.

*********First of all, the "someone" you so loosely referred to was me.That is a good thing- At least it shows me that you are thinking, or trying to.I would NOW ask that you cite which "back room deals" you are referring to.I would further ask what does Chicago-like politics" mean to you?And of course then you will need to cite the 'broken promises'.Bet you won't though.Bet you can't.After all, if you expected magic in our presidents first year, then you are oddly uninformed about politics...The most important broken promise to me is yet just not done. And I really don't give a damn to comment on the rest of your blog.As you well know, that is the promise of healthcare for ALL, and certainly not just a chosen few.Without the public option this is just another stupid bill."There is no possibility of a compromise that will get anything passed that can be called a "health" bill.  The Public Option was the compromise people like me might live with."And those of you that have opposed this public option are those that are killing people.Real people.Human beings. That is your choice.<br style="color: rgb
