[My] Life in Wisconsin

H~2~Uh-Oh

hehehe

Good Evening All;
It sure was a "day" yesterday... (And OMG, I hate days like that).
With Casey's surgeries next week already, I do not seem to be dealing with anything decently anymore.
The water s(h)ituation seemed to be that proverbial straw for me.

I am happy to report I do have water today. The washer has been running almost all day, and the dishes are almost all done. (Too lazy last night).

Not that I didn't have water yesterday-
As soon as I had called, Kelli was over in a flash with 7 gallons for me to use; (which made me very happy- And a bit calmer too).

She also brought CocoBean and Mr. Miller. (Which made Punk very happy, although NOT any calmer). hehehe

CocoBean ran around like a fool- Punk just kept gnawing snow and crying about it all the while.
(Guess ice cream headaches aren't that bad to a dog).

Mr. Miller was unhappy, given the fact that no matter where he stepped, he broke through that crusty top layer of snow...

..
He came up by me then.  Too funny!

While Beaners and Punk vied for Kelli's attention...

Shortly thereafter, that 'wunnaful' Minnesota/Dallas game came on.  I was rooting for Minnesota ya know; and will continue to do so until they are finished for the season...

Then it was high time for a bit of running water.

Randy crawled down in the pit...

... And YIKES!  I haven't seen him since.

Punk had had a very rough day eating all that snow, and playing in the sunshine.
She slept like a baby all night long!

Know that she is a great foot warmer when I fall asleep too!

Just took my pizza out of the oven- I left the onions big so I can pull them off for Punk. She likes pizza too! hehehe

Be back later! (I have a ghostie blog to share).
Love to all

XOXO

  2. This is a phenomenal blog, sis. Thanks so much for the laughter! I have been having one of those weeks, and hopefully tomorrow, the water will be flowing again. Right now it is just a day at a time, getting through it all. I love any picture of dogs in snow. And I have been there for the plumbing issues. Thank goodness they don't make pipes like they used to. Hope you have a warm sudsy night!

Multiply ate my first reply and it took me a while to find my link for you again.

Try this. I think you might get a kick out of it if you like the dogs in the snow.

I still don't know what was up with my water, but am quite happy it is flowing once more.

  6. So, was it the sensor like you thought?

Mimi has been having here fun outside here too. She loves the snow, and mud as it is now :D

Well I don't have a daughter heading off to surgery, wonder why I'm about to crack?

  7. Oh was I mad about it all yesterday. (Randy carried in a few pails of snow even, so I could flush the dang toilet if needs would be).
Odd that I didn't have to "go" all day. (must have been all pooped out)! hehehe
    I need sleep badly...

Everything gets recycled now, so like me, Kelli had no jugs-
She filled up the container that she carries water to Breezie and May- (It's covered so no problem there). hehehe
And though I couldn't lift it, I tipped it enough to get water in a pitcher.

    Pizza was yummy! Mmmm...

PANTS ON THE GROUND! Vikings won!

  8. I have NO freakin' idea what was wrong with it! Both fuses were good but got replaced anyway.
Still no water at that point.
I have water now, that I immediately thanked God (and Pa and Mom) for.

i also have no idea why you are about to crack.
So... All I can say is "Welcome to my world"... hehehe

  10. Glad you have water. It can be miserable not to have water.

Hope all goes well between now and next week so you can get prepared for Casey's surgery.
I know Dr. S will take good care of her. Praying she has a speedy recovery after surgery.

I put a pork roast in the crock pot last night and couldn't sleep well last night...the yummy smells kept me awake..lol It made delicious bbq pork snadwiches today.

Stay warm and have a good night. I could use your foot warmer right about now..lol

Keeping you and Casey in my prayers!

  12. You are SO right about taking running water for granted!
While it still flowed into the barn, that did little good for me who kinda likes to be clean, (clothes, body and dishes). <---- Even though I whine about all those things... hehehe

It was a nasty experience with raunchy timing. Then again, I am glad it happened while we were still home.

  13. Water, water, everywhere... And not a drop...

Know that things must go better than well. Nasty that. But at any rate, they will go.
As for her recovery, she actually argues with the doctors about when she can get out of bed.
They say 'not yet', she says 'watch me'. True.
And her recovery time then is much shorter than many.

I can't do a lot of pork- Because of my fookin' head- But pork roast has never bothered me overmuch.
    Yours sounds delicious.
Leaving something in the crockpot overnight is nothing I ever planned on doing. hehehe (I fell asleep last month, had a stew on, and thought it was burnt beyond help.
It wasn't. It was dark, everything in it was. But it was OH so good.
I told Casey not to look at it, just to try it.
She did. And thought it was awesome too.
Like having leftovers right away. Yummy!

    XOXO

Sorry, but I can't send Punk down there. She won't want to come back.
Not after seeing your Gulf water. My river couldn't hold a candle to that.

And yes, YAY for the Vikings winning too. (Like you, this is the only time I will be writing those words). "til thir next playoff game anyway...
Next weekend will be great- Kelli will be rooting for N.O., and me for MN. hehehe
I shall also be rooting for Indianapolis. Not sure where Kelli stands on that one yet.
