NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Connecticut police said a man who heard
gunshots while exiting a deli went home and ate his sand-
wich before seeking treatment for shots to the groin and
thigh. Investigators said Miguel Soto III, 25, heard three
gunshots when he left the deli Tuesday afternoon in New
Haven and continued home to enjoy his lunch, WVIT-TV,
Hartford, Conn., reported Thursday. Police said Soto asked
his father to take him to Yale-New Haven Hospital after he
had finished his sandwich. Soto was treated for non-life-
threatening gunshot wounds to his groin and left thigh.
Investigators said they are seeking two men in connection
with the incident.

ReplyDeleteHey - it depends on what Deli he went to, there is one on the corner of Chapel Street that even if you are shot you don't want to miss out on eating the grinder. ;) LOL

ReplyDeletemust have been a really great sammie!! reminds me of the day I got ill , I wouldnt go to the e.r. until I voted for President Obama, after voting I went and ended up staying in hospital ten days! but totally worth my wait!!

I guess he was more hungry than worried about the blood, LOL

These stories amaze me . I have heard a few in my time similar to this one where a person for some reason trys to just go on with life after an injury like this . I once dreamed I was shot in the back and as this dream went on I had places to go and people to interact with and every so often would think "I need to go to hospital" lol

No way Anna is food the way to a mans heart when he's been shot in the groin I can tell you that for free. I visited here last night but was a little confused as I am a bit today; Food I can go without, personally I would have myself my daughters water pipe ( Shhhhhh ) and then gone to a ER and got myself a Penthrane Whistle or Ten :P . . . . . Do they come by the 6 pack or dozen ?
