[My] Life in Wisconsin

From the Completely Frozen Tundra

G-g-g-g-g-good M-m-m-m-m-morning All;
Flintville Wisconsin comes a bit chilly today...
The kind of morning that makes you want some hot chili for breakfast.

So far, so good; knock on wood. We have power, and we have heat, and we have running water. Not too much else matters in this weather.
I took the above picture about an hour or so ago.
The weatherman says it is now 16 below.
The weatherman also says that we have to go back to January 2009 to have a morning this cold. Almost 2 years.
At least it is to warm up to the teens today. (That would be on the plus side of zero). Tonight promises not to be so bad

Whatever. Nasty is nasty.

Ask Casey about "nasty"... Her car is in the shop. Front end probably frozen; with an possible additional tie rod problem.  She has my car for the duration.
Life goes on.
~ Sorry Punk, I am not walking anywhere in this.
Casey and Greg were here last night and brought my dumpsters down the driveway for garbage today. Had it not been for them, they would not get taken away today either.

Time for to find a nice warm blanket.

XOXO
Me

  1. Sweet Sister Annie,

We're only 20 degrees warmer than you, but hey, I'll take it, LOL.

Hope it's not too much wrong with Casey's car. It blows chunks being without a car in nice weather, SO much worse in bad weather.

I have a couple of wool blankets I can send you. NICE and warm.

    Love you Dear Sister,
    oxox,
    your snotball

  3. Good on Casey for getting your garbage Anna, I know you are shivering so I won't tell you what it is like here :-)
I do feel for all those in the northern winters, for me to get anywhere near that cold I would have to go down near Antarctica I love the cold believe me. Glad you have all the necessities also they are very important. All the best and keep warm as possible OK

  4. Hello Anna...here I am again!! I wrote to you last night but you didn't reply so I thought I would tell you
to go look at the pm. Hope you are doing ok even thought your butt is frozen! lol It's cold here too and
we do have some snow...not very much but it looks so nice. My friend said it's supposed to rain for a
couple of days and get cold and snow again.! Hope the roads will be ok for people to travel for Christmas
because my daughter and kids will be coming home on the night of the 22nd. I can't wait to have them
come and this will be our last Christmas in this house. It's kind of sad but at the same time it's very
exciting. Again I am wishing you a wonderful Christmas and may nothing but good follow you into the
    New Year.....hugs xo

  5. Tee Hee..... And from sunny Ottawa, I am saying.... no, I am SHOUTING ....: "AND YOU CAN KEEP IT!"

    Mwahahaha!

We've got a couple of inches up here at the moment. We've been really lucky so far and the storms have sailed past on either side and going in all directions and missed us by a matter of miles. We've had the tail end of a couple, but nothing to go crazy about. Enough snow landed on the drive to get his lordship out there with his trusty and beloved snow shovel (they look so sweet together), but barely a snow bump, nothing like the UK!!!!!

Even the temperature has barely gone below freezing (unless you count the wind chill).

Have a super Christmas and New Year Anna. I hope it warms up for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
