  5. I would come down by you, but as I always tell William (Prattville), I would not survive the heat.

We are under a heat warning; get this, through THURSDAY!
That is unheard of around here...

  9. Nope, you sure don't want to come down here now....heat warnings through the rest of the week with scattered thunderstorms (read as high humidity).

  10. Our dewpoint was at 80 yesterday. This is only the third time since 1050 that we have been that humid.
    It's..... GROSS!

And Punk had to tiptoe and run- at the same time (across the concrete) to go pee.
She wasn't amused, and waited on the lawn until the door was open for her to come back in.
Funny, but rough on our dogs...

  11. Oh yeah, we too have those T-Storms predicted on and off through the week.
It's bound to happen when the humidity is so high that you have to turn on your defroster and windshield wipers.

  14. How much juice in the water? It sounds like uncarbonated Fresca (which I love)

  15. Batten down the hatches and make sure that tub will float!

  16. Sweet Donna;
First if all, I only drink the pink grapefruit juice. (White grapefruit is icky. to me anyway).
I buy Simply Grapefruit from the Simply Orange Juice Co., out of Florida- It's in the fridge section of the store.
Get a big glass . Fill 2/3rds with water, then add the grapefruit juice, then about 2 TBS of straight lemon juice- About one lemon if you're lucky.

I never thought of it, but it really does taste like non/uncarbonated Fresca! For that, you could probably add a squirt of lime juice and viola!, it would be perfect!

Where they are in season, I love it with raspberry juice too.
Since my tummy doesn't like the gf cold cold, I use tap water (mine is well water- about 42° year round). The juice is cold enough, as is the lemon, (if I have them in the fridge; which I do after a few days after buying them).
But you could throw it in the blender and mix it all up like a julius too.

    Lots of Vitamin C too!
Great way to wake up- for those of us that don't have a man up there most of the time... hehehe

    XOXO
    Me

I don't add sugar or anything like that- I like it to bite me back (depends on freshness and quantity of the lemon).
But the gf juice has a few carbs to get ya going too, so no need for sugars, real or fake.

  17. hehehe
How will I plug up the drain???
Besides, my tub is an old cast iron one- Add my backside, the dog and the FAT cat, and we would be doomed.
Anyway, I can't hide in the tub- There's a double hung window over it.

    XOXO

  19. Heat advisory/watch here too. Rained a bit this morning, just enough to really raise the humidity.

  20. Anne...Even a huge ship made out of iron and stocked with hundreds of people will still float. Well...till you hit an iceberg!

Just stuff that drain with something Miss Punk won't have the notion to play with and pull out. Just sit there in the tub till the water levels makes it start to float. Sounds like those windows are in a good spot. All you have to do is open them and float out! Of course, if your talking tornado, sitting in the tub below those windows is most definitely a bad idea. But if you mean flooding....I think you are pretty much set. :)
