[My] Life in Wisconsin

During. And Done.

Happy Sunday!

Sunday isn't Sunday without a Packers Game. :-(
But we do play tomorrow night!

I thought I had better post these pics- before the next snow falls. (I do not see any in the forecast).
As of this morning, and having the temps rise through the night, there is no snow left on the lawns, grass or trees. We already knew it wouldn't last long.

So- Here are a few during and after' pics for you to enjoy.
If you hover your mouse over the pics, there should be an accurate description.
I think.

Casey cleaning her car- Punk munching on frozen greens

It was just a few days before that fell, that we were outside- & playing out in the sunshine!

Sput, "That was MY mouse!"
Boy was that cat mad at Punk!
One little swipe as Punk nosed in a little hole that Sputty had found.
(I heard the loud and indignant "Ki-Yike" as I was taking the picture).

Sputnik- checking out the septic cover

Sputty checking out the septic tank that was waiting to be pumped out..

Septic tank cover (better get covered soon)!

And now it needs to be covered- soon. This was one of the tasks I had thought would get done on Friday when my help from Christy's family was going to be here to help out.
I had to cancel them Late Thursday night; not knowing what Casey would need that day.
I hope they can still come before it is too cold to work outside for a while...

Tractor
During...

Snowy tractor and plow
Done!

"Where's go Tiger Lily's?"

Yews and yard
During!

After...
Done!

Snow and Ice against the trees

And yes, there is still color in some of the maples!

My love to all.

XOXO

  2. Nice first pictures of the quickly encroaching Winter weather. That last one IS particularly a beaut! And I've never yet met a healthy cat with sharp claws and reaction times 100 times faster than any canine who couldn't back down a dog. I've personally witnessed my 8 lb orange Tabby having no problem at all disposing herself of the 120 lb minor annoyance consisting of the huge, barking, slobbering, stupid Mastiff who lives upstairs. (Nothing against Mastiffs, except that they did come in first in a poll among veterarians who were asked to "name the stupidest dog in the world".)

  3. I love all of the photos Anna, that is one huge septic tank cover you have there Anna, why is it not level with the ground ?
Looks far too cold for me, although your photos do remind me of my time in Tasmania and Victoria ( 2 of the States in Australia )
" If you hover your mouse over the pics, there should be an accurate description" Yes there is.
Q.How did you do that Anna ?

  4. Sis, As usual, I love your photos and your descriptions. Miss Punk and Mr Sputty are SO funny. The snow, you can keep. Though we won't get much more at a time than this and what you have there is what they call a "big snow" down here. LOL I'm glad to see that Casey felt well enough to help clear off the car.

  5. I'd like to reiterate the question posed by lersterdavo, which is: How did you do that?
I can't perform a single trick with my Multiply system. For example, how does Heidi keep posting articles which she didn't write but found on the internet somewhere? Or pictures. What's the procedure for making a preferred picture multiply a hundred times and then become the background of your main page? I'm sure that these questions must have answers, and that they are being kept from me through a world-wide conspiracy. But it you haven't signed onto it yet, perhaps you'd like to enlighten me. And Lester..:-)

  8. It was still coming down in that last picture.

I should have taken a pic this morning when I'd left the cat outside last night.
He came flying in, looking quite like a Halloween cat.
I don't think his fur settled down for half an hour!
    hehehe

  10. Glad you like them Mr. Lester!
The septic is not at ground -or above ground- level because it is a septic system. Not a holding tank.
The cover has to be buried a little to keep the innards from freezing up during the Winter.

I know how I do the pictures, using Flickr- And yes, I will 'splain everything... (later). hehehe

  11. But I don't WANT the snow Sweet Snotball!
Nah- this was nothing compared to the big snowstorms we can get.

As for Casey clearing her car off, it's her car- She does the cleaning off. hehehe

I didn't think you'd, (hoped you wouldn't), catch that one! Tooooooo funny!
Still, I do believe I said 'than most'... hehehe

A little snow 'round here doesn't necessarily completely stop the growing season. (Take note of my damned grass)!

    PS
Isn't it amazing how we are so much alike?
The first snowfall is always, (er), (um), (AHEM), quite pretty.
    The 51st? Not so much...
