[My] Life in Wisconsin

Grandbaby Sam. WHO t/f DOES THIS?!?

Good Morning All!
Y'all remember our Baby Sam and his less than perfect entrance to our world?

I have sat on this entry since I've found out...
I have been remiss in filling y'all in on young Sam.

So here's some pictures- I believe they are very self-explanatory too.

All American Sam!

Fireman Sam

Sam Happy as can be!

Sam, beat up, November 25, 2011

Daddy Chuck brought this to my attention a few days ago- Filling me in that this was done by someone he loved and trusted... (Yes, he called the police).
Quite like myself, Chuck shoots first, (then asks questions and takes names later). I am happy to report that as I type Sam and his dad are both on their way back to Wisconsin.
(Odd, but somehow that is a happy ending to something that should NEVER have happened in the 1st place).
I still fight back the tears...

Now would everyone please go hug their babies, all?

XOXO
Me

PS
One more link here if you will, I (STILL) get by with a little help from my friends.
Young Sam never did start with a fair shake.
Maybe now he can/will.

  2. For anyone wondering, Roberta has not been heard from, or seen since she graduated (the 2nd time) from The Jackie Nietzsche Center for AODA.
Hearsay has it that she promptly went back to using...
If anyone here has any updates on her, please let me know?
    Thanks a million.

  3. Sis, I don't know what to say other than I am VERY glad that Baby Sam has ONE responsible parent. I know it hurts your heart for him to be enduring this. I know you'll give Sam all the love he's been missing. I pray for Sam, his Daddy and you. I hope that you hear something about Roberta, one way or the other. I love you and hope you can continue to hang on. Sam needs you, Casey needs you and I need you.

  4. I attempted to read through all the links and am confused. Is Roberta your daughter Anne or is Chuck your son? Roberta is Sam's mom and Chuck his dad right? I see there is a drug issue involved. Is it with the mom? And where does little Sam live? With Chuck or Roberta? I get confused due to the manner you post sometimes. Poor little Sam. I hope nothing else hurts him as it sounds like he has had his share in his short life already.

  5. I am astounded but so very happy that Chuck stood up for his son.

    Prayers for everyone involved.

    Love to you, Anne.

  6. I Pray that someday, before its way too late, Sams mom will finally wake up and see what all she has been missing out on by placing her addictions ahead of her own sons needs. Unfortunately, there are many who have squandered the youth of their children. Once they are grown, all they will have is bad memories of them if they never attempt to fix things.

  7. Hi Mommy,

So sad to hear of this, and yet proud that Chuck had the ability to stand up and say that he wants no part in that... In answer to your question, I don't know who would be able to do something like that. Especially to such a wonderful little boy!

The picture of him in the Captain America costume is so adorable! I'm glad they are heading back home, and hopefully to safer territory...

He deserves all the good and happy things that can and will come to him! (And hopefully getting out of that situation will lessen the bad things they both have to deal with... I do so pray for that!)

    Love you MUCH MUCH!

  13. Sweets;
I know how important just a simple "I love you" is.
And it's what we all should be able to give any child.

    Hope you hugged them good!

  15. Sweet Snotball;
Chuck wrote last night. Yes, they are back; and all is well.
He asked to come out. Would I ever say no? hehehe

I don't know when he'll be able to come- But it will do my heart good to see them both.

    PS
I have heard 'things' about Berta- Nothing I am ready to write [about] yet.

  16. My apologies Sweet Mary-
I have 4 daughters. In order of appearance Zoé 34, Jenné 33, Berta, and CaseyAnne, 24
Roberta is now 31 years old, and 'should' know better. (One would think)

She has given birth 3 times (that I know of)- And has zero custody of any of her 3 boys.
And is an addict and a drunk. (My apologies as I don't know how to 'pretty up' the truth).

My greatest regret is that I was unable to help these boys they way a grandmother should.
But I have done the best I could- Happily for Master Gabriel, he has a real great family now. (He was adopted by Kristin and Steve Piantek, in March of last year).
Happily, he now has oodles of brothers and sisters; (2 sisters that are the same age as he is)!

Young Sam was living in SC, but has returned home with his daddy on Sunday evening.
Closer now, and as I'd written, if anyone ever hurts him, they WILL answer to me.

There is NEVER EVER a reason to stifle a child at any point of their young lives.
IMHO, to do so- for ANY reason- is to maim the child for life.

    XOXO

  17. I was freakin' SHOCKED sweet SlurkieBaby.
I guess especially since the person who did this to him is quite a Christian. Go figure.
Being religious is one thing- being spiritual and living what you claim to believe is a whole 'nother story.

Still pissed- But happy that Charles took immediate action.

Like my own standby, youget one chance toblow the whole thing.
    And ONLY one.

"Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me"
Chuck has no shame in coming back home, but gets oodles of Brownie points for doing so.
Once is always more than enough. (Now if only I had the strength tobelieve that the first time my 1st a-hole husband beat me)

    XOXO
