Sometimes You Just Get Really Lucky...

Good Morning Everyone!
I believe our rains are done for a while.
(And no, I didn't get done what I wanted to)...

But am thinking these pics might make up for that a little bit.

Randy and I were outside, just as the sun was going down.
We got to watch Mama Bluebird chasing a moth to feed her babies.

~~~ After she captured it, she took it home for supper...
Now, one silly moth is NOT enough for her growing family,
~seconds later she was right back out...
in search of more...
Darn lucky shots, right?
Hope you had a grand weekend!
XOXO
  4. We had our thunderstorms last night-early this morning...severe at that. Oh well, we needed the rain and no damage was done as far as I know. But then, I haven't turned on the news either. Thanks for pushing them our way...I'm a rainy day/thunderstorm type person.
    These were fantastic pics...this doesn't happen that often so good for you. Oh to see a blue bird again. They're gone along with the blue jays and cardinals. Don't know why, but they're gone. :(
    Have a ''mindboggling and munnerful Monday''.
    hehehe
  6. I watched a bluejay chase a butterfly the other day. You know how butterflies fly....they are all over the place. Had that bluejay going backwards and forwards! Not sure if it caught it or not since they ended up out of my site.
    I have GOT to someday get me a camera like you have. My daughter has one that will do that snap, snap, snap, thing and you can get all kinds of action shots. I want to do that too!
  7. Wow you are quick with that camera of yours. I can only wish to catch things so quick. You are truely amazing. Have a great week.
    Lots of love!
  8. We were both watching birds yesterday. I sat on my deck for at least an hour yesterday watching a baby Cardinal leave it's nest for the first time. The nest is in a large Althea (Rose of Sharon) bush at the corner of my deck. The mom and pop Cardinal have been busy the last few weeks bringing food to their new offspring - but now they're really BUSY supervising where the youngin is! Every time I go outside I hear the mom and pop calling to each other as if to say "where is he?" "I don't know - I thought you were watching him!" "I'm not watching him - I thought you were watching him!".... I think it'll be a while before this mom and pop start feeling the pangs of empty nest syndrome.
