Hi All;
Just a short note to say hello to you, and to let you know we are alright.
Casey has decided to try acupuncture.
Have any of you tried this for anything?
Having not ever tried it myself, my own feelings are mixed on it...
Please let us know.

In searching for a 'provider', Casey called me and asked if I knew a man... Turns out he is my old doctor, (and by old I mean 'ex' doctor)... He retired from his field and went into acupuncture believing he still had much to offer the medical community.
He was a wonderful doctor to me when I had him.

Not too much other news.  Or is there?...
.
Casey and I have been working on getting the shed organized to at least OPEN it up for our sale...
Given that, the yard is quite a mess.

But ...
the backyard is sort of a nice place to be at the end of the day~

It's been hot for us up nort'... Throw in the humidity and it gets downright frustrating to try to work while the sweat rolls in your eyes... (And yes, I have a cap on)!!!
I filled up the pool for Mr. Miller the other night. He's got a few hot spots and needs to stay halfway cool...
So does Punk. (After all, it is HER pool)
hehehe

Punk likes the pool fine, but HATES when it's filling.

Maybe she thinks the hose is a snake, ?? ~but she has to wrestle with it and then lie on it while it fills.

Having filled it during the breezy evening, it was not long before she realized how darn cold my year~round~42~degree water really is!

I laughed myself silly at her!
Maybe she thought I was trying to kill her!

The news about Brett is both saddening and sickening...

At this point, that is all I should write,
except to say I am very proud to be a Packers fan.
And that I will always be.

Being a fan however, does NOT mean I agree with ANY of managements decisions on this matter.
Nor does it mean I don't want Thompson tossed out of town.
"Mafia Ted" must go!!!
Isn't there a mob, (of course by that I mean 'team'), in Communist China that needs him?

I'd better close and try to find my yard- Plenty of stuff to get through in the next day!

Love to all!

XOXO
Anne

  1. Acupuncture has been found to work miracles with pain related to my son's condition. Many in the support group go, and swear by it. Many are hesitant at first, but once they fine the right acupuncturist, they all but throw away their pain meds. If the first one doesn't work. Don't give up. There are excellent practitioners out there.

  2. I say with all the little pin cushion has been through, this should be right up her alley!! *sinckers* I just hope and pray she finds some relief soon. This is getting to be ri-goddamn-diculous!

  4. Hi I'm just randomly clicking around and stumbled onto your side. Cute puppy and good luck with the acupuncturist.

  5. I think Acupuncture is a great thing to try. I have not personally used it but have considered seeing this kind of treatment for my migraines. I am anxious to hear how it goes.
Also, forgive me for coming by this morning and not commenting....my kids are giving me a way to go. Even though daddy is not usually around during the day....their knowing he is away on a business trip seems to be enough incentive to make my world CHAOS!!!!

  6. Yep, acupuncture can do wonders. It's worth trying and I really hope it helps Casey. I tried a pool for my idiot dogs and they refused to get in it. They'd drink out of it...but all it did was attract bees. So instead, they lounge on beds in the kitchen with a fan blowing on them all day!

  7. I miss water right out of the well! Charlotte used to hear the squeak of the pump handle and come running for her turn to drink... we filled the pools from it on hot days too!

    Brrr! In a good way.

  8. Sweet Stang!
What does your son have to say about it all?
I am happy that you have a support group too! How cool.

I will stay on her. I promise.
(That is, if I can keep track of her)...

    Great ""SINCKERS"" you have there!!!
    hehehe
I share your feelings about the "ridiculosity" of this whole thing!

    About the picture...
    I heard her shriek!
    And saw her jump!
I turned around just in time...
    Just sorry it was blurry.
    Happy the camera wasn't wet.

You will have to read 'Beep's' blog about HER wet camera.
(She mentioned something about the Titanic)... ;-)

Be sure to thank Mama Marie for posting those pictures!!!

    Love to you too!

  12. Sweet BethieBaby!

YOU go first and let me know about your head.
I'll wait and see how that works for you.

    Now as for Casey...
    hehehe
I hope the good doctor will allow me to watch... (I would cry to miss such a photo opportunity).
I believe a peterified porcupine would be almst as good as a roasted possum!

    Enjoy your chaos...

  13. Sweet Lisa,
    Your dogs called...
They didn't want to bathe in clean water. (I think that's why Punk takes a running jump when she's still dry).

    BUT, about the bees...
Dawn dishwashing liquid- (Blue)- will keep the bees out of the pool.
As will a capful of chlorine...

But the Dawn is the best... It is actually recommended if you ever run out of doggie shampoo, AND it keeps the bugs off the dogs as well!
(Yes, there is Dawn in the pool).
Mr Miller needed a bit of tugging to go in, but once in he loved it!!!

    Love to you!

  15. Oh Pea!, the water really is SO good!!!

We filled the pool with it too, but had to wait a day or two so Mama wouldn't have to watch us turn blue.
That pool took a long time to fill though... It was 15' x 36"
    But gawd, we had fun!!!

  19. Well short of trying a witch...this sounds like a good idea. I've never tried it for anything but I hear it does work in some situations.....besides .....it can't hurt...other than the pricking but I suppose she's used to that by now!
Punk is so cute...you know I just adore her. But Brrrrrr...42 is COLD !

  20. Even Bart,
Hey guess what! I got my new camera. Im so excited!
What cute photos of little Sam.. I know you are a proud granny! (hehe)

Acupuncture? I have heard that in many cases it can help for pain.. And hey if it works for her... More power to her! And if it works for her.. maybe it would help with your migraines... Just a thought.

Love those shots of the backyard and Punk.. The well water in Arkansas is cold like that.. so is the lake and the river..brrrrrr

sure will wake you up regardless of the time of the year. The worst part is in the winter.. it actually hurts when you wash your hands if you havent let it warm up enough. But we have city water now.. I dont have that issue in the house anymore..hehe

    Hugs

It is funny, now that its over.. but trust me.. I didnt laugh one time until we all got on that barge and out of the water.

  22. I just LOVE all your pool party pics!! so cute!!!
My grandma tried acupuncture and it really relieved some major pain issues. I think it's worth a shot for sure.
That fly is disgusting. Why can't we live in a bug-free world?? I hate bugs. I stop going outside because of bugs. Come to think of it, I should seek psychotherapy because of my relationship (or lack of) to bugs...LOL
Now I have to go because my skin is crawling.....

  23. My experience with acupuncture is kind of weird. When my dog Tasia was diagnosed with inoperable cancer I took her to an alternative medicine Vet who gave her acupuncture treatments to ease her pain. It really worked well for a few days each time I took her, which I think did me as much good (knowing I was helping her feel better) as it did for Tasia.

I want poppy seeds! Will you still send me some even if I tell you I killed the chives you sent me? After I planted the chives new shots started coming up, they dried-up, then curled-up and then they all died. And yes, I had them in the shade and was watering them. I think it was just too hot for them here, as a transplant coming from a place that was so much cooler. (Heaven knows I tried, it made me feel like my green thumb had turned brown!)

    I LOVE the photo that's "a-blur-of-Punk!"

  24. Hello there dear Ant! We all are fine and have survived our road trip, but that will be on my page soon. I am sad to hear about all going on with Casey. She is always in my prayers! I will continue this til they find a miracle cure for her. Much love to you all!
