Casey's surgery went well. (Both of them)...
Her first, taking over 13 hours.
The 2nd (to remove 2+ liters of blood and fluid from her abdomen) also went well. During this surgery the doctors also removed a blood clot (larger than a golf ball) from her duodenum.
As of 1/5/09, she is also possibly facing a diagnosis of C-DIFF.

As always, your prayers and comments are deeply appreciated.
From your hearts to God's Ears.

  4. Toni,
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers along with the doctor. I am reassured by the fact that he has done many of these surgeries since 1977. But I am still nervous for it and the prayers help...

    Love to you!

    Thers,
I should be healthy and enjoying the season with Mom, but I will still be in the hospital for Christmas. They said the hospitalization afterwards is three weeks or more. She did say it might be less for me because of my age, but still right around there.

But this is still the best Christmas/Birthday present since I was born! This surgery gives me hope that it will help immensely with the pain. Thank you for the prayers, maybe they will give me a speedy recovery so I can get home fast!
    Love to you!

  6. You're both always in my thoughts and payers.
I pray to the Great Lord above, that he puts the
miraculous healing touch in this surgeons hands,
to bring Casey a new hope to live a normal life,
and that he helps you through the long hours of
the surgery that you have to wait.
He will help you through it Annie.
Now that would be a nice Christmas miracle for Casey.
I have also added Casey to the Church prayer list.
We need all the prayers we can get.

Much love and big hugs to you and Casey ~ ღ♥§♥ღ Susan X♥X♥X♥ ღ♥§♥ღ

  16. Hi, my Daughter Melanie is scheduled for the TP/AIT the 17th of this month. Of course I know she is going to be fine, and we too have many many prayer warriors praying for her, however, I am still concerned. Would you mind telling me how it went for Casey and what the super sized colon was caused by. We are in Texas and going to Baylor for surgury. We are originally from Wisconsin though. I grew up in Sharon WI and graduated from Walworth High. My Son an his family live in Walworth. I cried when I read on your other page how Casey suffered so long, Melanie went over 4 years untill they discovered that her Pancreas was damaged as the result of galblatter surg. I am praying that Casey have a wonderful and speedy recovery, please add Melanie to you prayer list. Melanie is also a sweet spunky girl, well woman , she is 35, married and has 3 kids. Thank you for your time Beth
