Good Morning Everyone;
The sun is shining! But it is only a few degrees above zero too. Much to do today, including "finding" my house. (I know it is under the clutter somewhere).

Having just gotten plowed out from "Snowstorm Ike", they say more snow is headed our way tomorrow.

Running the risk that Canada might be listening, my snowplow driver will be out of town from the 24th to the 28th. Crappy that. Maybe it won't snow? Hope not.

With a ton of extra attention, slowly too, my little Punk is returning to normal.
She takes her ball upstairs and waits for me to play. She thinks it's funny to toss the ball at me, and see how it comes down the steps.
.
.
The top picture as she waits for me to assume the position!
The next as she sees I am almost ready!

Too cute if you ask me!

~And no, she does not "play" on the steps.
If the ball is thrown correctly it lands in one of the bedrooms
and then she gets to chase and find it.
She is only allowed to rescue the ball if it is on the top step,
otherwise it is mine to get.

Casey holds her as I am messing around with the cars...

Yes, the old Roadmaster has been pumped up, charged up, and fired up too! Such a great old reliable car. (And yes, I hate to see her go, but Casey needs the money so badly).

We go back to Minnesota for her recheck in late March or early April. (I shall have to ask her because I need to make the hotel reservations soon).

Speaking of doctors, Casey brought me in for a shot on Tuesday. On Wednesday I repaid the favor. She has also blogged about it! CLICK.

Since her doctor is not my own, she does not have a "standing order" to be treated for her migraines. And with all she has been through, her doctor thought it best if she was seen at the hospital; in case they wanted to do a CT Scan of her head.
They didn't do one, but they did treat her migraine- Almost as an afterthought though; as the doctor had remembered Casey and wanted to know all about her surgery. And so the story was told and retold. Nice that the doctors there are so nice. (And it didn't really take us THAT long to whip them into shape either). hehehe
Did it?
Our next project will be working on the nurses. (I wish).

I'd better close- Casey has just called and will be out shortly! YAY! (A reason to get dressed)! hehehe
Then on to finding my floors and my house- Right after I write out my bills. No, that's wrong. I get the dang bills, and write out the checks.

Love to all!
Have a "wunnaful" weekend!

XOXO
Anne

  1. Look at that Smile, Punk looks like is is in one of tyhose animal talking commercials. LOL

    Well, it is nice when doctors remember and truly wanna know.

    Glad you were both able to help each other out. I wouldn't have that kinda of help if I had migranes. Scarey to think about it really.

    They are threatenn' some snow here too :( A dusting would be okay, but I don't even want 3".

  3. Punkie will miss Milly for a while yet, but she'll learn soon enough that it's all about her now. The ball on the stairs routine is funny, she's so smart!

    I hope you get dug out soon. See... I mentioned the "F" word (February) the other day and look what happen - sorry!

    Glad both the migraines are gone.

  4. Whoa...look at all that snow and ice. Yoiu're gunna hate me when I tell you spring has sprung here in Louisiana and my daffodils and tulip tree is blooming beautifully. However the old wives tale says if you hear thunder in Feb. you'll see ice in March...and we've had a couple of severe thunderstorms the last couple of weeks...I'm waiting to see if that old tale comes true.

    So happy you and yours are doing better and healing your heart from your recent loss. Great pics!!!!

  5. Are you having to sell your car? If so I am sorry.
    I hope thoughts of Milly bring more smiles than tears but I can imagine that wound is still open...and will be for a while.

    Do take care and know you are loved.

  10. Sweet OKA;
    Punk and Casey ARE pretty cute, aren't they?!

    We spent so much time at St. Marys that these people would recognize her in a store 100 miles from home. hehehe

  12. Sweet RT;
    I guess the brunt of the snow fell while we were in Minnesota, so I shouldn't complain. But my back doesn't think too much of it...

    Punk- Hard to even go outside and play most days but that too will be easier once the snow at least gets a little less deep. Tired of trudging...

  13. Sweet (Warm) Shari;
    Oh, I hope you don't get the awful ice that pretty much paralyzed the middle of the U.S. a few weeks ago. Miss Doubtfire and her daughter actually had to live in a shelter for a week!

    I see those T~Storms coming through your neck of the woods- Have to keep an eye on Prattville Alabama, as my (now 9 year old) grandson lives there with his dad.
    I missed being there for his birthday- One of these days I shall be "out of here".

  14. Sweet BethieBaby;
    I gave the old Rodamaster to Casey a long time ago- My friend Duane drove it all last winter- But we only use it for a little running around. Casey needs the money, and there really is no reason to hang onto it.
    I do still have the Rendezvous.

    Please call when you can.

    Mr Khoolman;
    Methinks you are going to get Mo' Sno' than we are this time.

    The license plate is certainly not the right one, but I had fun trying to get it to say "KC" too.

  18. Sweet SlurkieBaby;
    it IS good to see her not moping around so much. But she still has her moments.
    I had closed the door on the kennel before the snow came- And of course she goes out there every morning. Seeing the door closed, she was kind of upset too.

    You send your checkbook and of course I will write out your bills.

  20. This is Canada signing in and I was listening!!!! I do hear some strange things....like I would send
    you some more snow. :) I might want to share a little...you know...keep a few inches and send you a few...that way you wouldn't feel bad about not getting any. LOL SP driver gone from the 24th to the 28th, eh?? Better get ready for a few flakes. We had some snow tonight, but not much. It was nice big flakes. The storm we were supposed to have yesterday didn't turn into much..a couple of inches and then a little rain. Those two days that I went out in the sunshine made a whole lot of difference in my mood. It was great.

    What a sweet dog that Punk is. She looks so ready to play....I'm sure she still misses her mom but it would be a lot worse if she didn't have a wonderful mom like you to help each other out.

    Have a wonderful weekend. Lots of hugs and blessings sent to you.....Bev

  21. Punk just proves that routine is important even to the dog world.

    She is actually smiling in that second picture! Cute....you bet!

    Hope the headaches have subsided on both you and Casey. Bad enough to have all that snow around causing the other headaches and then have a migraine on top of that.

  22. Dangitallanyway!

    I was hoping you would use YOUR checkbook and write out MY bills!

    hehehe

  23. Sweet Bev;

    I have only 3 little words for you. "KNOCK IT OFF!"

    Oh wait, of course there is more...
    "I" better get ready for a few flakes?
    Methinks I have enough flakes on my friends list. hehehe

    Sunshine always makes a huge difference in ones mood. (Lord knows we would have to drink gallons of Vit D milk to get enough from cows milk).

  24. Sweet PeachieBaby!
    Punk has more than enough routine. It is myself that has a problem (major) keeping up with her.
    Head is quite nice this morning (Knock on wood).
    Damned snow anyway. 2"-4" today.
    Please come shovel.

    XOXO

  25. Yaaay! When should I expect my check?

  26. That picture of Punkie as you are almost ready to throw the ball is absolutely ADORABLE!!!! She is too cute for words... That big old smile of hers is back and I see it more frequently now, so she is slowly getting better...

    I am bummed that the person didn't call about the roadmaster, but at least it was a start, and the car is still doing great! Oh! I love the personalized license plate you painted on for my car! That's so cool! (No everyone, she is not in the business of making license plates... Only painting over them on her photo editing program...) I figured I'd straighten that out before someone got to carried off on a tangent!

    I'm glad I got to stay there last night and part of today! Punkie kept me company last night when I came home and you kept me company all day! It was great and definitely better than staying at home waiting for Greg to come back from his snowmobiling trip! He did have fun, but is mighty sore and is stuck with a sore throat/cough/fever... No kisses for him for now... I told him he MUST get checked out by a doc if he's not better in a few days... I know he hates doctors, but I don't need an infection to be brewing and have him end up in the hospital...

    Ok, I'm going off on tangents now... Can you tell I'm a bit tired?? I didn't nap today, I ended up playing W.O.W. online and then cleaning and cooking so I am beat... Time to go nighty-night...

    Love you MUCH MUCH!
