[My] Life in Wisconsin

Casey Sick

Good Morning All;
We will be heading to the hospital shortly-
Casey's incision is bruised again, swollen.
She has a mild grade fever.
She is pale and neither of us have gotten any sleep.
After contacting Dr. Sutherland's resident, we are to go to the hospital.

Without being able to diagnose over the phone, this is quite reminiscent of THIS BLOG for both of us. But her bruising is not that dark, nor is her swelling that large. (Click for that entry).

Prayers please; and happy thoughts always welcome.

XOXO
Me

  9. I will have her and you in my prayers all day asking the Great Healer to put his loving hands on her
incision and make everything well in her body. I'm sure it's a terrifying drive to the hospital not
knowing for sure if something is wrong or not, but have faith and I know that God, In His Infinite
Mercy, will make her well. Hugs and Blessings to you both. xoxo

  10. Our prayers are with you. These blogs are bringing back memories of Mike's medical hardships last year. UGH...I know how frustrating this is, and we only went through it for 6 months. Hope you both can try hard to keep your spirits up, I really do think a positive attitude and prayer are the best medicine. Laughter always helps too.

  16. We are home, and have been, but we both had to sleep for a bit.
Casey is upstairs asleep, and I would bet that she will sleep straight through 'til morning.

They did a CAT Scan, which showed really nothing, (so the doctor said). But he was quick to add that she needs to return to Minnesota within the week. [Probably because she doesn't HAVE anything left on her innards]. hehehe

Lab tests showed a few things that were elevated- But ONLY within the 'high' end of 'normal'.
I asked for copies of her lab work, but cannot get them until tomorrow.

He does think that this has something to do with her changing her patch. In that the other masked whatever pain she might be in much better than the ones she has now.

    We await Dr Sutherland's call.

    My love to all.
My heartfelt thanks for all of your friendship and love.

    XOXO
    Anne

  18. Didn't Casey have a follow up visit scheduled with Dr. Southerland coming up anyway? I'm glad to hear she's getting some rest. Please try to get some rest for yourself too. OK?

  19. Her followup was/is scheduled for April 1st.
We told ER doc this, and he said to NOT wait that long.
