Itchy Armpits?

...Come walk with us!
.
Cnv0042
The silly scooter...
One of the first signs of Spring around these parts!

Bring on the Harleys please...
.
.
.
.
.
Good Morning All.
And Happy Weekend too!

My head is tons better today.
(Unfortunately I can tell this because my back hurts)! hehehe Oh well.

Taking advantage of yesterdays warmer weather (upper 40's), and the past few days of temps above freezing, I thought it a great idea to get outside and get to the woods.

Didn't happen.

But we almost got there...

The Punk refusing to go along,
unless she could bring Mama Milly's squeakball.

.
.
?
Cnv0048
No problem for me!
.
.
.
.
Cnv0033
She did have to check out the whole field...
Just kept looking around.
Listening.

.
.
.

Cnv0041
Happy nothing bothered her!

And she was off running.
.
.
.

.
.
Cnv0034

The snowmobile trail.

Closed.

(For now).

More snow coming tomorrow...
.
.
.

.
.
Cnv0044
Lots of field

(Read "mud").

.
.
.
.
Cnv0035
After ditching the ball for a few moments,
she found an abandoned mouse nest under the snow.
.
.
.

.
.
Cnv0039
There is nothing wrong with this picture.
It is only drifted snow up to the picnic table.
.
.
.
.
.
Cnv0038
Punk laughs at me as I got into the deeper snow.
She'd somehow gone around it!?!
.
.
I went no further.
(Or I would still be back there).

.
.
.

.
.
Cnv0040
She laughed at me more as I trudged back...
The showoff!

.
.
.
Cnv0043
Her paw print as she sinks.
.
.
.
.
Cnv0049
At some point she even stopped to retrieve her mama's ball.

I was still catching up to her.

She hadn't been "free" all Winter.
.
.
.
The snow, almost knee deep back by the woods, went from almost nil, to about 8" through the fields.

But we were back home once more.

And played for a while, with the ball ~and with some snowballs too!

And then she stopped for the "itchy~scratchies"...

.
.
.

.
.
Cnv0050

Am wondering if her then itchy armpits are a part of her allergies?

She seemed to find them quite funny!
.
,
But she didn't find it funny when I laughed along with her...

The little KILLJOY
.

Cnv0052
Who are you laughing at???
hehehe
.
.
Hope you all have a "wunnaful" weekend!
Now get outside and feel better!

Love to all!

XOXO

  7. I am so glad I don't have any snow right now (knock on all the wood in the house), I don't miss it. We are having a beautiful few days here, in the 70's today :D I'm not fooling myself though, I know it's not quite spring yet.

  8. Loved the pic of Punk with her itches. Emily will sort of get lost while shes doing that...and I laugh every time. Shes sitting there scratching away then it slows to almost nothing like shes in a daydream state....and she gets this far away look in her eyes...still that one leg keeps slowly scratching something. Maybe she thinks better when shes itchy..i dont know lol
    OXOX

  9. Sweet OKA,
Oh I do miss the 70's!
And I would be happy with the 50's... hehehe
Just rechecked the weather- Some places here to get upwards of 7".
I sure hope it's not for us.

  10. Sweet Bug;
i don't know why I haven't caught that on camera before now- it is SO funny to watch!

And yes, both Punk and her mama get lost in their armpit thoughts too.
Hang on- Maybe there's something to it...

    Hang on!

    Gee, be patient...

    I am scratching my armpit.

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

Nope. No joy in armpitland today.

Maybe I gotta use my leg.

    Hang on...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    ...

    Nah. No improvement.
Not lost in thought, and not giggling either.
    (That's a lie, I giggled a little).

I would try the "Air Scratch, but I think I disjointed my hip...

  12. LMAO @ you for attempting this. Either it's a dog thing, or you shave too often and don't have enough "fur" in the armpit. LMAOOOO

  13. hehehe
I shaved in the shower today!
    No fur.

    sigh...

    Lotsa giggles though!

Oh and just so you know, not even two years ago i could still put my foot over my head and behind my neck.

Now I can just put it over my head.
    ...just not today...

  14. It got up to 70º here today. I just got back from my daily walk with Doc. I wore sweat pants, a tank top and a fleece jacket. I was sweating profusely and Doc was panting non stop by the time we got home. It's very hilly here, walks are kinda like working out on a Stair Master for 45 minutes - while being pulled by a 80 pound dog! I'm wondering how we'll keep this up come summertime. I'm thinking we may need to drive to the park where it's shady and there's a creek.

I imagine you and Punk will always miss Milly when you talk your walks in the woods. (Maybe that's where you should scatter her ashes.) It's a wonder Punk doesn't lose the squeaky ball in all that snow - but then she'd probably find it in the spring. Is Punk still on her allergy meds?

I bought Doc a weird looking rubber chicken with a squeaker in it that sound just like a real chicken. He was not impressed - I thought it was hilarious. Doc doesn't seem to know what toys are, or even what a ball is all about. I guess no one ever played with him before.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I laughed at this!! Look at Punks face!! She really is laughing at you!!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sweet RT;
If it was 70 here, I would be in shorts, and still overheated!
    hehehe
I have a very narrow "comfort zone". It goes from 71 to 73.5 degrees.
Ok Just kidding... as I finally close the windows here and turn the heat on...

Your stair master sounds like the ravines in the woods.
But it just never melts on the north side of those woods to get close enough to get down there.

As far as Punks allergy pills. He gave me 180 of them. So yes, she has a zillion left- That 180 should last for a month. (And if she would stop trying to spit them out, they might even last that long).
Oh she's not as bad with them as she is with the antibiotics though.
Oh poor little Punk on that one.
    Poor me too.

How sad that no one has ever played with Doc!
    Hearing that breaks my heart.
But then again, he is so lucky to have you!
    ...And vice versa too!

I do plan on bringing her ashes down by the river, where she hid.

  18. I do believe she was too!
My boots were making this sucking noise from under the snow...

She will be 3 on the 27th.
Maybe this means these terrible two's will be over then?

    ReplyDelete
  19. March 27th was my grandmother (NaNa's) birthday too! Apparently people AND dogs born on that day are extra special!

The Vet said he though Doc's age was 3 too.

  22. Mimi magically grew out of the terrible toddler years about the time she turned 3. Okay, not magically, We still have the trash and food issue. She has grown out of most of her extra excitment though.

She was funny today with this nice weather. She hasn't spent much time indoors. Just enough to taks short naps, and then she is ready to go back out. Starting to forget she is an indoor dawg. LOL The moment it starts pouring or the temps get in the 90's, she'll wanna live in here again. Spoiled dawg, LOL

  23. flintville saidOh and just so you know, not even two years ago i could still put my foot over my head and behind my neck. Now I can just put it over my head.I promised myself I'd be good today. You're making it very hard and I do mean difficult.

  24. love the pics...glad you got out and about.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Anne, I know your camera is much better than mine, but how do you get the pictures so beautifully sharp?

That punk! At times...it looks as if you can see how she misses her mama. Such an expressive face.

Glad that darned head pain is better.

More snow????????? When does it usually stop snowing up there?

    ReplyDelete
  26. HAHAHA!!! Her itchy armpits picture is super cute! I don't know why she would find her itchy armpits to be hilarious but it sure does look like she's laughing!

Maybe that does mean something about the weather... It will have to replace the groundhog... You'll have to take her for a walk to the woods on the first warmish day and see if she itches her armpits or not!

I'm glad you got to go at least most of the way back there... It's always been deceiving as far as the snow levels go. It can be clear of snow by the house and have a good 2 feet of snow back by the woods! Tricky tricky... Punkie sure does look like she's giggling at you when you found the deep snow... I don't know how she avoided it! It's hard to when it changes so much on the way back there...

Well, my head is threatening to bother me so I must get some sleep now... Hopefully we won't get too much snow tonight/tomorrow... I really am sick of this crap!

    I love you MUCH MUCH!

  27. WAH!!!

    I want "magic"
    hehehe

All in all, Punk has been a very good pup.
And I am SO looking forward to what else she will come up with in her "adult" years now.
    (um, I think)...

Before Randy left, she capitalized on his 'mean left' with her squeak.
'Cept he kept throwing it across the mud!
(That's ok though, after he left I just threw it through the snowbanks).
That cleaned her off quite well.

  29. Bite your tongue!
Why do you say mine is better than yours? Silly girl.
I cheat, and have an extra battery charged up at all times. hehehe

I take a zillion pictures, and **IF** I am lucky, then I have a few to keep/use/share.
At this point, I have over 19,000 on this memory card alone. (I erase them after I upload them.
Not sure how many thousands I took with that 1st camera- (Different memory card style).
And I have almost 5000 on Flickr.

Oh I do see Punk missing her mama too- Lots of times. And that is when she gets an extra bit of love from me. A sad substitute for wrestling with her mama, but better than nothing too.

    XOXO

Oh, here is proof positive that my pics do NOT turn out...
And I am SO mad about this one being so out of focus...

  30. I shall have to use your medical plan then to fill in the dates/times and weather conditions. (I have a feeling that would be MUCH more interesting than saying "here comes the fah~reakin' snow again).
    hehehe

I shall send Punk out to molest the groundhog into the hereafter... Soon as he dares to stick his head out again.
And as long as she doesn't confuse him with a skunk...

As far as the snow went, this dog was running all over the field-
Lots of zigzagging in the mud and through the snowdrifts too.
I did not have her energy. (Nor will I ever).
But oh, it felt great to get past the snowbanks up here! Maybe I have been feeling 'caged' too.

I shall go find todays updated forecast now...

    Love forevermorelonger.

    XOXO
    Mama D.
