[My] Life in Wisconsin

Happy June! Trouble in Triplicate!!!

  magnify
Three little moss rose poking their faces out to enjoy the sunshine.
(This is NOT the 'triplicate' -as mentioned in the title).
.
.

Good Morning All;
I too will be poking my face out today- More lawn to catch up on, and must refill the gas can first-
But I have a few minutes as the lawns dry from the early morning rains before I have to completely motivated for today.

Todays forecast calls for low 70's. (And that's to be the nicest day of the week). Freeze watches and warnings are expected for tonight and tomorrow night; although we "should be" OK here. Hope so.
Though I haven't planted a garden, I have scattered a few flower seeds just so I have more for next year. Those few seeds are trying to grow; and some unseasonable (and unreasonable) cold weather will turn them all white and kill them.
Grrrr....
(Wait another week or two, and I promise to whine about the heat).

News... Let's see...
Update on Christine Staevens murder.
Nothing.
Save for the fact that the fire was begun in 3 separate places in the home. Other than that I am sure that the Sheriff up there will figure this out after the next few million doughnuts or so.

Other news... Casey Face.

You ALL know Casey by now.

Yes that is herself holding a flower that Miss Punk had broken off.
(And yes, I also already have the paint to redo the porch steps). . .

Most of you even know Miss Jenny Mella. (CLICK for her blog).

Picture stolen from Jenny a while back,
( & used without her permission)!
hehehe

Love you Jenny!
.

If you know these two, then you also know of the sort of trouble they can can get into, seemingly without effort...

See what I mean?!?

.
.

Now add a third young lady into the mix...

This is Nykquee. (CLICK for her blog too).
.
.

Cnv1659

Yeah, triple gets even MORE scary!
hehehe

(Love you too Miss Nyk)
.
.
Nykquee has also been around since time immemorial.
She is also a Certified EMT, and recently left her position as a policeman.
.
.
So what better third to add to the infamous duo than Nyk herself.
Especially when they all have time off,
.
.
Casey Truck
they pack up the truck...

(leave the GPS at home), ? ! ?

...and hit the road!
.
.
That was Friday... ....I haven't seen any of them since.
(Heck, I haven't seen any of them since last month)!

But I did receive a phone call yesterday- from a very distraught young lady who had lost her wallet.
(You know, the one with my credit card in it).
They were already backtracking to their last stop which had been a "Welcome Center".
(I did not ask which state). Should I have? Hmmm...

Yet not too many minutes later as I was on the phone with Capital One, my other phone rang. It was Casey- Nyk had found that wayward wallet... So that has to be the shortest "hold" ever on a card; about 45 seconds! But thank the powers that be that it was not lost or stolen, only misplaced. She will now be getting her own card to lose. hehehe The lady said, and I concur, that Casey would be better off with a card in her own name.

Freddie Bartz stopped by yesterday afternoon as I was outside with Punk. It was wonderful sunny and not too warm. Now Fred does not have a blog, but I have mentioned him before- (CLICK).
Of course THAT was in a WAY different vehicle! hehehe

Definitely hard not to push the season when one has "wheels" like this.
.

.
.
Go Fred, GO!
.

.
.
.
.
.
531 Fred Bartz

See Fred go!

(Forgive me, I couldn't resist).

.

.
.
After he left, I transplanted some peppermint that have been giving me a headache as they grew wild by the old maple stump.
As I was doing that, my phone rang and my friend Lynn had also been out joyriding. (Seems I really have reason to curse my anxiety attacks on days like these). Grrr!
.

And that, my dear friends, is how life is in Flintville today!

Love to all!
Hope your weekend was "wunnaful" too!

XOXO

  2. Sweet Cille;
    I am an idiot!
I reached up to grab my cap foo the top of the fridge I see the damn OWL is STILL THERE!
    SO-o-o-o-o SORRY My Dear.
If I get done mowing soon enough I shall go to the Post Office today.

Now about your comment (Sorry, but 1st things first you know)...
I am alright~ My back keeps trying to be a pain, but I keep saying "no no no"...
Am waiting for the Diclofenac to kick in a bit before I go whack my back again.

  4. Hi Sweetie...I love your blogs with pictures!! You are always so interesting and you're always the
first person I visit when I come on. :) Casey's dimples are so beautiful and she is just glowing
these days. I think the lady is in love too. lol Of course, being her age is enough to make anyone
glow!! Beats being a senior, believe me!!! :( I'm not impressed at all. I just wish I could be healthy and then I would be happy no matter what age, I guess.

Have a great week and do things slowly. You don't want to be flat on your back for the summer!!
If we have one. It's sunny, blowing a gale and feels like the last days of FALL!! What is the matter with our weather?? Coldest Spring I have ever been through and I haven't been out of the house for over a week. I suppose that could be the reason I'm cranky...LOL

Hugs & blessings to a wonderful friend. xo

  5. Triple trouble..hehe I received a call from those same girls the other day.. too bad Dallas is so far from me. Sounds like they are doing well though and have this all figured out even without GPS!
Glad the card was found.. that was a scary moment in time for her Im sure!

What a great old car! Wouldnt mind going for a ride around in that.. how cool!

OH by the way.. package arrived and some things are in dirt as we speak.. other things not so much.. Darla hadnt dug too deep into it. Bim (he had a skin cancer removed today) had gone to pick it up and since he had other things on his mind forgot to ask for a receipt... When I make a package, Darla has some seed she wants to add in. My surprise lilies have not bloomed yet.. so dont give up yet. But I am gonna dig some of them up anyways for you to re-try.

Well.. gotta run.. Hope the girls are doing great and your having a wonderful evening!

    Mucho hugs

  6. Great car there Fred!
    I'll take 65 & sunny. I'm stuck with 55 to 60 and dreary. All week ! Yuck!

  7. Glad Casey is out and about again with friends. Sounds like fun but I bet that was a scare with the misplaced wallet.

Cee really loved the pic of the convertible caddie!!! Now that's a sweet ride.

After all the work we did yesterday, I think we're good to go until the weekend. Right now it is a nice 89 degrees here. Pretty sure it got in the 90's today but at least the humidity was low. That's always a plus. Got a wee bit sunburned on the shoulders working outside yesterday but it's not to bad. Just felt good to get out there and get alot done. More of the same coming up this weekend.

Take care and have a great evening!!!

  8. The credit card situation would have had me shutting it down Fast! I'm so glad for you that they found it without incident.

Pretty moss roses. Is that a columbine (flower) Casey is holding? It looks like one. I have columbines but they are purple, I've never seen a coral color columbine before - very pretty.

I hope Casey, Jenny and Nykquee have a great time!

Cool Cadillac convertible. I had a boyfriend who had one very similar to it, only blue. We took a trip to Key West and to north and central FL in it from Miami back in the 70s.

How's Punk feeling? All better I hope.

Please take care of your back, after all, the human body doesn't come with replacement parts!

(BTW - the chives are doing great!)

  9. Ann....we had a high of 93 today. And ME....like an idiot sat out there in the heat waiting for the clouds to change shapes for more cloud pictures. But not a speck of wind and the clouds never moved like they did yesterday. They were still pretty but got boring looking at the same ole same ole with nothing new.

Gosh! You got lucky on that credit card issue. Hopefully they canceled the hold immediately and not on down the road when Casey attempts to use it again.

We once had a big gas guzzler car similar to Freds. Ours was not a convertible but it WAS huge. Seems like it was a Belair or something like that. Drove so smoothly. Of course, gas back then was as cheap as 19cents a gallon when I drove it about. And talk about roomy!

  10. Glad that all is going well there in Flintville! I was gettin' kinda worried about ya this weekend (didn't hear much from you!)...

I bet the triple threat of trouble is having an awesome time as they travel along! Scary about the credit card but great too that it was found...

I'm jealous of all the people who can garden... I inadvertently kill the plants I come in contact with... Most people have a 'green thumb'-- not me! I have a 'brown thumb'! LOL

Hope your week is awesome even with the cooler weather!

    Love Ya!

  11. Sweet Bev;
You are SO nice to tell me you come here first! How cool is that! You made my day!!!

Though I would like to remove a few years, a few pounds and a few wrinkles there isn't much else about being 22 that I would want anymore- Certainly not how ignorant I was back then...

You are right about the health though too.
Besides, I like my colon just the way it is! hehehe

(Do I want to be flat on my back all summer? Depends... Who's on top)?

    Windy here too!
Has been since we got back from Caseys first surgery...
    It only "LOOKS" nice outside.
    But that's something too.

    XOXO

    Sweet Beep!
I told Casey if she called you that it would make your day!

Casey used a GPS once--- Bad experience that, so told Nyk to leave it behind.
She is like me though- If you take a wrong turn you'll see stuff you hadn't before!

They just called Well, CaseyFace did... Her Isaiah, and Jenne are now entering a cave someplace. Nyk and Jenny Mella stayed in the truck.

Fred bought that car online from Minnesota I think. Sure is in wonderful shape for MN winters. Whoever he got it from kept it well.

I am glad to hear that the chives arrived! Holy crap I should have sent it with the kids, that sure took long enough.
    Still mad about that...

    Hope Bim is OK.

  14. I'm not worried about it. Send it when you have the time. LOL.
Glad the girls are enjoying their adventure. Sounds like fun. Miss Nykee is a cute kid and shame on her employer for treating her the way they did. I'm sure knowing you she had all the moral support she needed.

So glad you're taking things slow so you don't get down again. I know from experience, it's difficult.

    Hugs,
    Usuns in KY

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sweet Pam;
Casey and Jenny Mella wanted to "roadtrip" ever since high school... Guess this is ONE way to get that in.
    hehehe

It's a 1965 car- Freddie needs to get a new drivers front quarter panel for it- (2 dinky little spots)... And in Green Bay they have one for the '66 and the '64- Cadillac changed it 3 years in a row!
So it's on order from somewhere.

    89 degrees is not nice.
But then again, this wind and 50's is for the birds too.

    XOXO

  16. Sweet RT;
I am only responsible for the first $50.00, and know from experience that these dang things DO show up in their own time...
But have never lost one traveling either. So I called just to put a hold on the darn thing.

Yes, that is a columbine! They grow like weeds all over the place here.

Punk is doing well now. (After getting her shots etc).

Now just you wait until all the stem cell research gets done- (At least our kids will have replacement parts)!

  17. Sweet PeachieBaby!
Anything over 85 I do not tolerate very well.
Too much baling hay as a kid...
You are lucky to be able to be out there and enjoying it all.

The lady canceled the hold while I was still on the phone with her. That's how fast it went.
Then I ordered something online right away so I could make sure it worked. It did, so no worries.

My sister had an old Belair for going to college with.
    Very very cool cars.
And damn they sure don't make them like that anymore.

  18. And when she killed that one, she bought an old Buick- ALSO huge!
One day the steering wheel came off in her hands.
Pa welded it, and I bought the car from her for $1.00

  19. Sweet SlurkieBaby!
Sorry but I really AM trying to "find" my house before they get back... Not sure 'when' I'll be able to come back and putz on and off through the day again either.

Do you know if you put a wadded paper towel on the end of a cane with a rubber band, that it easily removes cobwebs from the corners?
    hehehe

I kill plants too. That's why I always plant more than I need. Some for me to kill, and some for the deer to eat too.

  20. Sweet Cille;

All these girls are such handfuls... hehehe
But ya gotta love 'em always. (Can't help myself ya know)! ;-)

My back is crazy. (NOT ME, just my back).
I fully expect it to be worse after 5 hours on the rider, and it's not too bad!
(That happifies my heart a whole bunch)!

And I would smile, but I can't. I cracked a tooth, and it hurts to draw breath right now.
No I am NOT calling the dang dentist.
(He just keeps stealing my teeth, and never gives them back).

Maybe the ouch factor will go away soon.
(Yeah, soon as I take a pill for my back that is).

And that would fall under "whatever works"...

  23. Sounds like there is never a dull moment in Flintville .. I would never give my daughter my credit card or I would be in debt up to my eyeballs .. I have used it to buy "her" somethings but I am the one with credit card in hand ..

Casey looks like she is doing well and that's great and I bet those 3 ladies are having a ball ..

Don't overdo things and keep that back fit .. Take care and have a lovely evening

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sweet Carolyn;
I live here. Those moments can be very dull.
    hehehe

I would not give my cc's to any of my other children. Not that I haven't. But I wouldn't now.
Matter of trust, (and need, of course).
Besides, Casey is small enough to beat up if need be.
    OK Just kidding...

In my life, I have spent the most time with Casey, due to her illnees etc, and the fact that we very much think alike. Truth be known, she is a mini~me in many respects. She knows what my limits would be, (financially AND emotionally) before it would be taken away in a New York minute.

She has been with me, through all of my own diagnosis' too; and understands my anxiety attacks. She has shown me compassion and love through them all, no matter where we were traveling; whether to the other end of Flintville, or to Alabama.
Due to those panic attacks there have been many times that I have been unable to even go to the grocery store.
(I would weigh lots less if she hadn't had my credit cards).

Oh she doesn't drink or gamble, so I know it won't be for bad stuff.
She has done enough shopping FOR me that she knows what is acceptable and what isn't.

    XOXO
    me

    PS
And before you have to ask or go on a wild goose chase through my blogs, I had panic attacks LONG before she got sick. hehehe
(Never be afraid to ask me anything)...

  25. My back is wonderful right now. I might have overtaxed it a tad before, but the Vicoden is working magic.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have a good friend who has those panic attacks also ,it was only a few days ago she ended up in emergency because she had a severe one .. From the blogs I have read I figured you had attacks and I cannot imagine how awful they can be .. Well I am glad you got some good meds to help you through the times you do overdo it some ..

    ReplyDelete
  27. It took me a LONG time (years), to even go in and try to explain to the doctor what I was going through. I thought he would lock me up and throw away the key.
    I was worried for nothing...
He didn't even bat an eye, but calmly said, you are having anxiety attacks.
At that point he gave me Xanax...
Years after that I was also put on Paxil (paroxetene), that I take every day.
I only take the Xanax if I am going somewhere and absolutely need to take it. When I do have to run errands or whatever I can sometimes tell if I need to take one in advance. But since being on the Paxil, they have been better.
Please have your friend talk to her own doctor about getting on that. It took me a while to be regulated with it too. I take 40mgs every night. But started out at half a 20 tablet for a few weeks, then up to 20, then up to the 40.
AFTER she has been on the 40, please tell her to give it about 2 or 3 months to work correctly.
it was almost exhausting getting me to that point, but worth it for the most part too.

    XOXO
    me

  28. I believe he has her started on a drug but I am not sure what the name is .. She is having a nice few medical problems and she is a diabetic who is on 4 needles right now plus other things .. I worry alot about her because she is a dear friend .. I will definitely talk to her and tell her about what you said and find out what kind of medication he has her put on .. Thanks for telling me this ..

  29. Hugs for her my dear friend.

And more for you for being so good to her.

  30. Hee hee hee.... Triple trouble is right!!!

We had fun, and YES I was TERRIFIED at the misplaced wallet... Good thing it was underneath Jenny's seat... Nykquee had more than a few words to say to Jen for missing that, but I didn't care simply because it was with US and not in some spendy person's hands... Good thing!!!

Nope, didn't use it at all, just glad it stayed safe and dormant in my wallet!

I'll have to hurry up and get all 800+ pictures edited and posted to blog about the trip. Still don't know whether to blog with all those pictures or blog about the story and have albums for the pictures... Maybe you, the ultimate Queen of Blogging can help me out with that decision.... ??? :D

    Love you Much Much!
    ~Casey
