POOL!

Isaiah on the ladder-
We ended up turning the hose on again anyway-
After that, his legs weren't long enough to climb in/out.

.
.
Good Morning All...
Hot enough for you? Nasty yesterday- and 83% humidity.
(But it was 100% humid in the pool, and no one minded)! hehehe

I had forgotten one very important thing as I covered all aspects of this pool thing.
And that was my swim suit...
I have been faithfully bringing it along to these various hotels that Casey and I had stayed in; (just in case). But truth be known, I haven't even unpacked it in years.
Nor have I had it on...

Jenne and Isaiah were already out playing by the time I'd finished my own playing on my blog yesterday.

.
Cnv0352
.
.
Punk, having no pool of her own, was stuck on the inside.
.
.
Cnv0354
How pitiful is that?!?
.
.
And it was time for me to face my swimsuit...
I took the little plastic bag out from the closet in the bathroom, and removed the suit. (It looked much smaller than what I'd remembered)...
But then it dawned on me that no one, save for my loved ones, would even see me in it. And I quickly disrobed. (Yargh)!

Grabbing this mere suit I cautiously put one leg in... Then another.
Then came time to yank it up...
...Much to my amazement, the darn thing fit perfectly!
There are no pictures. (You'll just have to take my word for it).

But there are plenty more pictures...

Jenne had to re~inflate the tube doughnut.

Casey arrived...
.

Cnv0357
.
.
She got suited up quickly, and showed off her beach towel...
.
.
Cnv0386
.
.
Punk was allowed to come out...
And it was discovered that if you have a pull toy in the pool this dog puts it to very good use!

Casey tried to drown Punk...

Punk tried to drown herself...

Oh this water is SO lovely!

But the sun was very harsh.
I even made the dog get out of the pool for a while to put her in the shade.

She was NOT a happy camper...
.
.
.
Cnv0361
.
.
Isaiah needed a drink of water, so we turned the hose on...
.

.
Cnv0365
.
.
And what fun to be had while the pool filled a bit more!
.
.
Cnv0363
.
.
He played so long in that little pool...
.
.
Cnv0366
.
.
And it was time for this little prunes nap...
.
.

Cnv0372
hehehe

I hope you are all staying safe and cool somehow.
I have already turned the furnace on- NOT the heat, just the fan. If you have forced air heat, you can do the very same- With my house, it brings the cool air from the basement and other vents and redistributes it around the whole house. (Yes, I still have the window A/C on).

Love to all.

  10. Looks like a grand time was had by all in Flintville. No cops, no firemen, just a kid and his babes. Summer fun at it's best. Stay cool and safe.

From my experience yesterday at work, Isaiah looked dressed for the mall.

Pool time fun is hard to let go for anybody....even Punk!

  22. Oh...about that swimsuit. I have not had one on in about 20 years. The suit I did have stayed in a drawer till about 3 years ago when I finally put it out in a yard sale and got rid of it. And it was one that I had bought in 1977. Very outdated but it covered all those stretch marks from baby number 1.

  24. At least you OWN a swimsuit... I don't so when I want to go swim it's either nekkid or a tank top and cut off shorts (most people would prefer the latter hehehe LOL)

Looks like fun was had by all who were there. Punk looked quite mad when you made her go sit in the shade LOL.

Ms. Casey is looking good! Glad she is doing so well!

Hope your day is a good one!

    Love Ya!

  37. What a great picture of a not so happy Punk! Looks like you guys are having a blast with that pool!

Now as to that fan.. it might work for you guys but trust me.. it will not work down here in the south. AC is a must! It got up to 106 on our front porch this afternoon.. and thats in the shade! and no relief in sight. Dang I will be glad to be in Arkansas where at least its not in the triple digits!

    Big hugs

  38. With the furnace fan only on, I still had the window a/c on - And for people that do not have the a/c, in any form, it is a blessing to at least have the air move in the house.
Will it work as nicely as cooling the whole house? Not a chance.

Mom was one that didn't ever want a fan blowing on her- (But she had an a/c window unit in her bedroom too)-
I'm not as tough as she was though, and there are plenty of days that I come in from working outside that I will just sit quiet in front of a fan. She would just put a damp rag on her neck and wash her face.

When we were kids- and after a particularly hot day of baling hay etc, we would just go down to the river. Mary was a wuss and wouldn't go down at night though.
Every now and then to Sams grandmothers pond too-
Any kind of water helps too.

So ya like my p.o.'ed Punk?

I am MORE than p.o.ed this morning...
    Wait for the blog...
(And know it would kill me to add the hehehe at this point)...

  39. I loooooove the heat. Glad I am not a dog.. poor Axl dies in any sort of weather.. his short hair doesn't afford enough warmth in winter, and it's deep black tone makes him bake in summer. I soak a bandana and put it in the freezer to tie around his neck when he goes outside.

Looks like you are all having a blast with the pool!

    Nyk

  40. Sweet Nyk;
CALL A PARAMEDIC, YOU ARE SICK SICK SICK!
    hehehe

Now for Axl... that is so neat that you do that for him with the cool collar! Send me his measurements and I can make something you can put in the fridge for him in Summer and on the radiator in winter before he goes outside.

For summer, put a little kids pool in the backyard too-
...A dogs cool off mode is in his paws, unlike our sebacious sweat glands which are pretty much all over our bodies.
Paws and tongue- they are not as lucky as we are with that.

  42. POOL POOL POOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First my hands wanted to type "POLL" don't know what that's all about... (And for "don't" they wanted "doin't"...) Hmm... I think I caught your banana syndrome... :) hee hee hee...

Anywho, Isaiah looked so happy to have something to waste away all that energy!!! I can't believe he actually ran the hose right over his head! That had to be freezing!!! Then again, I used to do that when I was little, so I think when you're young, you can adjust to anything. Heck, I used to play for hours in freezing temps too! You used to have to drag me in to warm up...

You should not have worried about your swimsuit! You looked wonderful in it! Imagine my shock that second day when I forgot my brown suit and used one from 7th grade that was set up for the rummage sale... IT FIT?!?!?!?!? Wow, I can't believe I've lost that much weight!! Or maybe it's that I never gained it to begin with... I vaguely remember growing out of that suit so I think at one point or another I was too big for it...

That pic of Jenne' and Isaiah is adorable!! So is the one with pouting Punkie in the window... Poor girl... I love that one with Isaiah peeking out from the doughnut floaty thingy... That dress I wore wasn't too bad, was it? I didn't think it looked that cute on me... Why do I look very worried in all those pictures?!?! I think it's the combination of me trying to smile but it being really sunny so I had to squint...

Boy that was a hoot having Punkie drag us around in the pool!!! Free rides!!! Plus she got to spend her own pent up energy... She loves that pool!! Now that she was allowed in it she thinks it's hers... Still can't believe she jumped in it when it was re-filling and was freezing cold, she actually LAID DOWN!!!! BRRRRRR....

I have the A/C on here and only turn it off in the early morning because the apartment will stay cool for a few hours before the heat from the outside heats us up again... One day I forgot to turn it back on, the first day I came out to the pool and it was 98+ outside... Oops, it was quite warm when I got home. Not too bad, though, so it was alright... I'm glad Kelli was able to help put that window A/C in your place... I would've helped but I was busy in the ER with pleurisy... Darn lungs... :D

This heat has turned me into a nap-aholic... It's like my body just doesn't want to be functioning for very long... I can imagine this has turned the back pain even worse for you with this heat... Doesn't do wonders for the joints when they hurt... :(

    I love you MUCH MUCH!!!
    ~Casey

  43. Is that a "missing organs" joke???

Hee hee hee... I just had to giggle at the irony of everything falling into place when I've lost so much!! :D Even the weight can't seem to "fall into place"... We'll get there though...

You're right about that, everything is so wonderful, I can hardly believe it!!! One of those "too good to be true" situations...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oh you give yourself much too little credit...

You'd have put the pin-up girls to shame!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks! I got the dress as a gift but it was from Express... 6 years ago... Ugh... But the suit is from target only 3 years ago... Glad it still fits because the ones they have for people my size now are so skimpy and I don't like practically exposing myself when I go swimming... Nor do I like wondering if the tiny scraps of fabric will stay on if I jump in...

Eeeekkkkssss, can't believe parents let their kids wear that crap... If I ever have a daughter I think I'll look into chastity belts just in case.... :D

  46. BRAIN BURN?!?!?! Sounds dangerous...

I call them brain farts although that "f" word is dangerous for me especially with that last surgery... Maybe I should go with brain burn... Makes sense with all this NASTY heat we've had...

    ReplyDelete
  47. Holy cow that's alot of comments... Here's one more...

    Love you MUCH MUCH!!
    ~Casey

  48. WOW... I'm so slow... Took me about a half an hour to get this one... Maybe less... Dunno, however long it took me to post all those comments... I guess that's why you call me "MO"...

  49. I just came in from weeding the garden and your pictures helped me cool off just by looking at them!
