Blade found in energy drink... WARNING from Protica Inc., of Whitehall, Pa

{People} are being warned not to buy or consume Hardcore Energy Bullet liquid energy drink, after a utility knife blade was found in a package of the beverage.

Health Canada announced late last week that the "product was subject to tampering."

On Sunday, the U. S. Food and Drug Administration announced a recall by the drink's manufacturer, Protica Inc., of Whitehall, Pa., saying a blade had been found in a vial of the energy product. The product is made in the United States and sold in Canada. Health Canada said it has asked the distributor, Upper 49th Imports, to recall all the affected products from the market.

The FDA has also ordered a recall of another Protica product, New Whey beverages, manufactured and sold only in the United States, after a blade was found in one of the packages. No one is known to have been hurt in either incident.
