"I didn't fight my way to the top of the food chain to be a vegetarian." ~~ Not sure who said it, but it tickled my funny bone! ~What's for YOUR dinner? ~XOXO, Me

  1. Good Morning ,Actually I am an omnivore. Ever do the eat according to your blood type? Interesting that I already eat the foods listed for type B and except for chicken it seems to work. Type B should not eat chicken for some reason. Moderation is the key to all foods I guess. Right now i am still holiday cheating and having the last slice of Pumpkin bread

  2. Good morning. Haven't thought that far ahead, but probably fish sticks, and we don't have them often.

  3. Good Morning to you too!
I bought the "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" book as soon as it came out!
While it is very interesting, there wasn't too many things on there, (like you), that I didn't already have! hehehe
Tons of people swear by that too. But you are more accurate to say "moderation" is the key!

I was going to make some yummy pea soup. The water is on the stove, but now I am not hungry for it anymore.
Will still make something for later on. Maybe take some stew meat out of the freezer.
I buy the chuck steak or roast, and cut it up myself. No use paying the butcher $1.00+ per pound to do that for me.

Beer batter Mrs. Pauls by any chance? (Those are the only ones I'll eat, save for a McFish every now and then).
AND, I make my own sweet tartar sauce too!

  7. Dinner? So far ahead to think but probably meatloaf. Hubby has been trying to help out more & he saw a recipe for meatloaf stuffed w/ mozzarella....
We shall see how that tastes
We'll also see how long his "resolution" lasts. lol

  8. After paying property taxes, the mortgage, and the electric bill all in one week I now have less than $10 in my checking account until the 13th. So no grocery shopping until then. I'll be having the same thing for the next 10 days - Hunter Stew. That's when you hunt around in your kitchen until you find something worthy of eating. I'll be eating Ramen Noodles, canned vegetables, rice and beans, etc. Just fixed a big kettle of pea soup the other day, with hog jowl, celery, onions and carrots. It was yummy. It made few quite a few meals too, in fact it's going to be dinner tonight, with some garlic toast.

  9. Yes, actually.
I am AA. What should I avoid? Native American. Everyone in my home is AA+. My kids both have sugar problems and are slim.

  16. Funny you should bring this up... I have heard for awhile now about using blackeyed peas and smashing them and adding a few seasonings and voila.. sausage.. I tried it tonight.. with leftover blackeyed peas... I wasnt impressed but I think if a person played with the recipe a bit it wouldnt be bad.

  17. Rob was the meat eater in this house. I think the only meat..meat...I have had was in a can of Dinty Moore Beef Stew. I have not eaten a whole lot of chicken or fish either. LOL! Veggies and fruits yes. Only because they are easier.

LOL! I've even tapered off on eating those darned sardines that was so hard to eat at first. Good source of protein, but I think eating them ALL the time would make me start to dislike them again. Maybe thats what happened with my appetite for hamburger, steaks and roast.
