[My] Life in Wisconsin

The Happy Business of Living...

Good Morning All;
(It will be by the time you read this anyway)! hehehe

Does everyone have plans for The Super Bowl?
And who are ya rootin' for?
Since I will root for the underdog, I will be cheering for The Saints.

Speaking of dogs... (Was too).
hehehe

On Friday, Punk caught me nibbling on a potato chip...

She 'sneaks' up to watch, (and to beg for just a little one).
She thinks I don't see her?!?
.
.
.
Whatcha got there?

She watches as I nibble... Using my two front teeth, because I swear all the rest are hurtin' big time. I understand now how people can grab a pliers and pull their own teeth out. (Just that I didn't pack any pliers)...
.
.
Then Punk has this doggie~stare~down with the TGI~Fridays bag.
Bacon and cheddar 'flavored'- (Tastes like neither by the way).
.
.
.
Mmm Tater Chips?! Pleeeeze?
.
.
.
I give her one.
I say "wait".
.
.
.
Mmmmmmm!
So she waits.
*Such a good dog!

.
.
After there are no more chips, she sits by the door...
One eye staring at her leash.
The other eye watching me very closely so I do not leave her behind when I go up to the hospital.
.
.
.
Punk Wants to go back and see Casey
"Please take me with you?"

She was SO good at the hospital on Thursday that she can definitely go back...
.
.
As I got to the hospital, I made her wait in the car.
(I told her to 'be very good'- She was)!

For being so good she receives an extra~special treat!

Punk protects her Casey
.
.
Yes, alright. This is a HUGE treat for all of us!
hehehe

...And WOOT~WOOT too!
.
.
Just know that whatever you do, do NOT ask Punk if we should bring Casey back to the hospital...
.
..

.
.

Leave us alone already! hehehe
She loses her puppy sense of humor, and will NOT even listen to such a thing!
hehehe
.
.
.

Yes! Casey is out of the hospital! Being released earlier than the 11~14 days we had been told!
(Go Casey)!!!

As always Dr. Sutherland wants us to stick around in case anything goes awry in this first week or so. Understandable.

Today was good for Casey. (For me too, not having to go up there)!
And oh, I hope it stays that way!

She has an appointment back to see Dr. S. next week.

A little prayer maybe that we can get home after that, and get on with this happy business of living?!

Have a SUPER Sunday!!!  And may the best team win!
Time for me to hit the hay... G'Night All.

XOXO
Me

  6. When I looked at the first picture of Punk I thought that camera of your's didn't just pick up an orb this time -- it picked up Casey's image!! OMG!! I'm glad to hear that it really IS Casey, and that she has been SPRUNG!! Best news I've had in days!!

  7. I knew that was Casey in the background of Punk sneaking to watch you eat chips.

Congrats to Casey, I know everyone is happy :D

I hope you all survive the week wait with little discomfort.

  9. Sweet MudPea;

Punkie wasn't really growling- I'd just caught her at the tail end of a yawn. But it fit.

She will now NOT allow Casey out of her sight.
Not even to close the bathroom door.

Casey and I stayed up til after 4.
Punk was a bit impatient about her breakfast his morning, but she has a little extra to live on for a few hours. hehehe

  10. Sweet SlurkieBaby!
I hear you on rooting for The Saints- But they have always been the bridesmaid, never the bride, ya know? I say it's about time.

Isn't it cool that they released Casey already?
And one does heal faster away from all the dr.s and nurses. Wonder why that is?
Maybe in part because I don't wake her every 2 minutes to check everything. hehehe

Maybe too because I know that when she is watching something on her computer she is going to burst out laughing every now and then...
Startling, but fun. (And she knows I won't call the psych ward on her)! hehehe

  11. Now I have all these Area 51 noises in my mind...
Worse than getting a song stuck there.

  13. Swee~Tee;
We are definitely enjoying it more now!
Casey has a bunch of pain- to be expected- But again I must reiterate, it is nothing even close to the pain of pancreatitis for her. And that is such a great thing!
Even with the pain though, her tummy feels much better, not being all smushed and wrinkled in there.

  14. Sweet Deb;
    Wow!
Your explanation of that image IS spooky- (Imagine if that had really been the case)!?!
I had fun making the story go anyway.

It IS good news... I am SO happy for herself too!
Now if Dr. Sutherland will only give us permission to go home!
Just not tomorrow- As of tonight (and through tomorrow night), we (Mpls) is under a winter storm warning, and Lord knows I do not want to be driving in another snowfall.

    XOXO

  15. Sweet Oka!
Casey would have snuck in that picture closer, but she makes these little noises as she walks now. (She is "unsneakupable" for a little while yet). hehehe

Once we did fall asleep we slept really well.
I got some goop to pack in my tooth and (knock on wood), it hasn't bothered me since.
    Lost fillings HURT LIKE HELL!
And in this weather, to take The Punk out made it hurt even worse (as if that was possible).

Casey called Kelli a few minutes ago- To hear her laugh out loud, belly laughs even, was amazing!

    XOXO

  16. I had actually gotten this years ago, and by chance it was in my shoulder bag. We found it about 3 am. And what joy!
It expired in 2007. Too bad. It works fine.

  18. I figured she was yawning... but it was a fun story.

    Punkie loves her girl.

I think she will survive a few hours to get her breakfast. especially if it means her girl is there for it.

  20. She would survive more than a few hours...
    hehehe
I am still giggling at the picture!
    She does love her Casey!
And now that we are both up, Punk is fast asleep. (Unless I rattle a chip bag)...

  21. wonder if you can get more, believe me I understand the missing filling issue I've had 2x within a year and I'm not quick about getting in. Like you mothering is way more important, and when I am suffering my other pains I have no thoughts about coping with a dentist.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It was unopened in its original packaging for all these years. One of those things that you buy, and forget about.
Out of the blue it had come to me that maybe it was in that darn shoulder bag.
    And there it was!

It is a little vial of white goopy stuff. I rolled it between my fingers and stuck it up there.
I have enough left that if it does fall out I can redo it about 6 times. (I just don't want to have to do that).

I actually had a dentist appointment for Jan 28th that I had to cancel. Couldn't reschedule it either because I had no idea for when.

Like yourself, my children have/will always come before any dang doctor or dentist.

Casey said it must have been an exposed nerve for the air to have affected it so.
I have no idea when I lost the darn thing- Maybe I would have super glued it back in if I knew?
    hehehe
