[My] Life in Wisconsin

"Byt~Chooz", and Kelli

This is a deer fly bite, one full week later!

Good Morning All;
I am in shock as the weatherman says we are to get rain. hehehe  After a few years of more random showers and thunderstorms, it is quite nice to be bringing our water tables up a wee bit.
Forgive me if I do not finish this by the time the T-Storms come my way. You might be reading "Good Morning" later in the day...

Randy was out too- to pull a few weeds, and to trim my crabapple tree (again). It grows SO fast, and always threatens my power lines...

Randy, with the shearers

Randy and a big one!
(Ok. Maybe a LOT of weeds...)!

Casey will speak to this picture! hehehe

Weed Whacker Wars

In a recent 'review' (click) I had told you all of my "no~see~um" bites.
I am excited that Sweet Pea has included and even better picture for that post. (Thank you Pea). I have stolen her picture and replaced the one I had.
My nasty outbreak from those has gone away. (Thank you Mr. Benny Drill).

In addition to those bites, and while I was down to Kelli's that afternoon she gave me a grand tour of her new home...

Know that these pictures do NOT do her home justice-

Kelli!
Just a shot of her garage, and herself as well.

Kelli, in Her New Kitchen!
Kelli, in her new kitchen!

KelliBaby!
And on the porch playing with her new cell phone.
"Can ya hear me now?!?"

Tim
Tim came out for a while! (He'd been napping)!

OK, What ELSE can we get into?

And those 2 dogs?  That's a whole 'nother blog!
hehehe

Love to all!

XOXO
Me

PS
The bytchooz?
That is from my grandson Lawrence...
We had been visiting Prattville AL a long time ago- (I think he was 2 or 3).
There were bugs flying all over and when I asked him what they were, he replied, "Grandma, they are "BYT~CHOOZ"
hehehe
He is quite right! And yes, I still say that to describe these bugs!

  1. Any bite....mosquitoes, flies, ants, fleas, no-see-ums....doesn't matter....they will all affect me the same way. Stays inflamed for 2 weeks and leaves a scar for months before they finally go away.

I know Kelli can't wait for the whole thing to be finally finished. But it does seem to be coming along nicely.

  2. Randy has a nice leg there Anna ;-) what do people there use as roof insulation Anna ? we use a ceiling Insulation made from recycled paper, treated with a fire retarding and vermin resisting, non-hazardous additive

  3. I hate bug bites! I will wake up with bug bites and never know what has bitten me. Something got me at the beach today..I think maybe it was an ant.
The house is going nicely..glad that there is nice weather for them.
The doggies have had some fun I see..lol
Well..I'm headed to lay down as the heat and the humidity here are causing me to be absolutely wore out lately. That and lugging all the stuff to the beach so Bruce could concentrate on walking on the sand without messing up his "toe". His cane kept sinking into the sand(glad we never came while he was on crutches..lol) and he'd have to stop..pull it out..take another step and repeat. He was woren out as well.
    Have a good day! nite!

  4. Sweet PeachieBaby!
Oh goodness, I would be red and welted all Spring, Summer and Fall if my body was that allergic! How awful for you!
My daughter Jenné also reacts miserably to bites, even mosquitoes.

As far as those skeeters go they leave me alone for the most part. (And I really appreciate that)! I'd say I get stung by a mosquito maybe 5 or 10 times a year, (and that is a very liberal guess)-. I don't even react to them, except if I see them I squish them. hehehe

The boys have moved up the completion date for Kelli's place to Aug 1st. (When was the last time you heard of construction moving ahead)? Pretty cool that!
    We are planning a picnic.

  5. Mr. Lester,
I'll have you know that is MY pudgy little leg there. (Close ups are bad bad bad)! hehehe

For insulation, I have bown in type in both attics, and it sure made a difference. Not as fancy as yours, but it does the trick quite nicely!

I saw Sput in that picture too and it was hilarious! (Randy, if he was uninformed earlier, knew in no uncertain terms what Casey was thinking too). Still laughing at that!

  6. Funnily enough I've just got back from getting a stack of bug related stuff. That 'Off' spray it all over stuff AND an 'Off' bug lamp (haven't even got it out of the box) - and what does it do? (The weather, not the lamp) - it chucks it down with rain. So now you know, if you need rain just go out and buy a heap big shopping bag full of bug repellents! xxxx (or sun cream. That works JUST as well!)

  7. Someday, when you get a minute would you tell me what Randy is to you?? I've lost anything I
might have read about him. Were you married to him at one time?? Don't kill me, I'm just trying
to remember. You can write me a pm if you want.... :)

We here in Nova Scotia are not getting rain. A few showers now and then and everything is so
dry. Not good for anything when it's like this. We are actually have beautiful sunshine & glorious
days with no fog!! Hard to believe and it's wonderful, but the people in the country that have wells, are getting worried already for water.

I love your blogs....ohh that is nice work on Kelli's house. I'll come to the picnic too. yummm

    Love,
    Me too!!! lol xo

  9. HA! That lovely picture?? Quite the story to go along with that one....

Randy had been outside for a few hours at that point... He came in to ask Mom if he could take one of the weedwhackers home with him, as he couldn't get it started. So I told him it better not be the one that I use, because that's the only one I can start...

When we went to the front door, he pointed at the one that I usually use and said it wouldn't start. I told him that I could always get that one started... He replied with, "Go ahead, be my guest... Prove me wrong..."

Oh, don't dare me to do something that you think I can't! I will usually accomplish it then, just because I was told I couldn't do it...

So I meandered outside and made my way over to the said weedwhacker... I primed it and put the choke in the right position... And after a few minutes, had it started! Mom had followed outside after hearing Randy's dare for me, and decided she'd come and see what was going on... She had the camera ready, and captured me starting the thing that "wouldn't start"... :D

Well, in that specific picture I was actually turning to yell at the cat, who had gotten a wee bit too close to the weedwhacker, and I didn't want him to get hurt, which is why you see me "talking" and the cat running off the right side of the screen...

I just thought it was more than hilarious that he was so sure that I wouldn't be able to get it started...

By the way, not only did it start, but he was able to use it for a few hours of weed~eating after I got it started... :D Hee hee hee...

Never send a MAN to do a WOMAN'S job!!! LOL!!!

    Love you, Mommy, MUCH MUCH!!!
    Love to everyone else too!!
