[My] Life in Wisconsin

Hungry?

Not sure what kind of flower this one is?

Good Morning Everyone;
After having severe headaches, for over a month, I will be bringing Casey in for 11.
That said, this will be short...

Kelli spotted this Indigo Bunting at the feeder the other day!

Indigo Bunting

So pretty!

Hungry Indigo Bunting
Hungry too! hehehe
I haven't seen one in years!

Check out the nectar sacks on this bees leg!!!!

FULL of Nectar
Both legs were so chock full that he didn't fly away too fast- Honey will be yummy too!

Y'all could come for lunch or dinner...

Flowers and Pears

Flowers-  (Some are edible)
hehehe, with the pear tree in the background!

Then the apples... (Hope Suzy Q's deer are hungry this Fall too)-

Apples
Those trees are so full.
Randy eats these green apples with a pocketknife and a salt shaker...

Anyone up for some Fried Green Tomatoes?

Green Tomato
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

How about a whole lot of gas from the cabbages?
hehehe

Cabbages
Pew! But delicious too

And here, with the meat included we have the whole shebang!

Full Course Meal in the Field
hehehe

Speaking of fresh food, Miss Kelli brought over raspberries, blueberries, some cukes, Georgia peaches, yellow/wax beans, green beans- and all kinds of fresh stuff!
OMG, I made a peach crisp that was simply to die for! That was 2 days ago, and it is all gone already!
(No I did not eat it all myself. Trust me, I had plenty of help)!
Now I only want more!
hehehe

I will post a non-hungry blog soon. I promise.
I already have lots of stuff to catch up on, and will try to do that as soon as I can.
Supposed to cut the lawns this afternoon- and put the rest of my little gas can into Casey's car the other day.
But the tank on the rider is full to the top, and I can mow a whole LOT with that!
hehehe

First things first. Casey must be to the doctors by 11.
Must fly...

Hope all is well with everyone-
Love to all

XOXO
Me

  4. I have the hiccups from hell here-
But am trying to type a nyway.

Just sent Miss Kelli a note as she'd asked what we found out about Casey-
Here is my reply to her:
Casey's appointment was OK- We have no answers except that "maybe" it may be related to her enzymes.
And of course he gave her some new drug.  Grrr....
So... We know nothing more than we did 3 hours ago. (Well 'cept that Punk was one sad little puppy when I got home)- Too hot to take her along without knowing how long etc...

They say, oh wait a month and we'll check your blood again.
What the heck do they think we waited so long to go in for?

    Oh well...

  6. Sorry you didnt get any answers. I made some calls yesterday(for Drew's situation) and haven't gotten any return calls as well. He sees his Wound Care Dr tomorrow and I'll pick his brain on this situation.
All we keep getting is "that this is not going to have a good outcome"..
Hope the new medicine works. Drew's headache will dull with some of the meds...now when I give him the Dialauded it goes away. I only have so many of the Dialauded and it has to get us thru to next Tuesday(the 3rd). He will see the Hemotologist in the morning and the Neuro/Pain Management in the afternoon.
Fried green tomatoes sound so good...we had a few last week..and could eat more right now.

  7. KC-Face said she would come read later- I just told her that her "Ant" had left her a msg here.

It is not pink. it is RED! (Adjust your tv please). HAHAHA

Why are you asking me if it's a primrose? I was the one that asked the question. And you may not answer a question with a question. Sheesh, hey...
hehehe Guess I will just have to go sniff it then.

Moowah?!? Did you just call me a cow?

aka One who does not know her primrose from her honeysuckles...

    ReplyDelete
  9. So what is it? Is it a primrose or a honeysuckle?

So much for that darn doctor-
AND he spoke about 1000 words per minute- Said he had to admit someone to the nursing home.

    What about Casey's head?
    Mad now...

  10. Squeaky wheels my Dear!
    Call them again.
Explain that he is sick NOW, and that you will hold until someone picks up.

Whomever [prescribed the dilauded will give you more til you see that pain/neuro doctor. Do not buy into the boomerang headache explanation. Remind them that he is sick and needs this.
That's what Casey is on- She is down to 6 pills/day so that is good.
Problem is though it doesn't put her to sleep...

Has he ever had the fentanyl patch? Casey did and was hard to- Oh I am going to your blog now...

    XOXO

  13. Hello beautiful Anna....
I miss you too, but hopefully it will be worth it. i am still at physiotherapy and trying to get the
training and education for my insulin pump. I made a promise i would go to therapy for 24
weeks, 2 X a week, and we are in the 8th week. I will tell you about it when i write to you,
hopefully soon. It is certainly off topic here..sorry!!

Sorry Casey did not get any answers from that doctor. Sounds just like mine. Now i am making
my own decisions and going ahead with them. Tell her that i think about her every day and that
i pray she will get answers and healing soon.

Your pictures are beautiful, as usual. I am like you, i love flowers but don't make them complicated
cause i won't know what they are. I have a friend that has flower gardens and knows everything,
maybe i will ask her to look at them.

Fresh veggies, they sure look and taste so delicious. Summer is wonderful and we have had
beautiful warm weather. This is the best summer in years....the way it used to be when i was
young, so that is quite awhile ago. lol

Must get ready for bed....i'm so happy that i could drop by, it's been so long. Take care and be
safe. My daughter, Rachelle, has been suffering terrible with migraines....i'll add you guys to the
headache list. Last week she had a abcess on her tonsil and was going into the ER for intravenous
antibiotics. On Sunday they decided she was well enough to go on a pill and the migrains started
as soon as she took the first one, so she stopped them. Can't get in to see the doctor, now her
throat is all inflamed again!!!! Can't win....nope!!

    BEV xoxo

  15. I dunno. But Pa would eat apples, and melon with salt too.

About those cabbages- I love cole slaw.
    I love sauerkraut too.
But they don't love me anymore.
Not since I had my gallbladder removed anyway...

  16. Remind me- One of these days I will get to Casey's place and can watch it there.

  17. Oh damn. Now I am wanting more peach crisp...
    *sigh*

I have not seen an indigo bunting around here since before Mom died.
... And she's been gone over a decade now.

  18. First of all, you had me thinking "if you could only see me right now" you would not even think to say 'beautiful'
    hehehe
(Know that I thank you 'muchly' nonetheless)!

You are missed! Happy that you could stop by though

You are right about this summers weather- It has been a summer to rememer! We are now about 7" over the normal rainfall. (No wonder it has found a way down my steps in the basement)! hehehe
But that is good to raise the level of Lake Michigan, AND the Bay of Green Bay- (and to top off our wells too)! So I can't complain.

About the migraines... Have you ever gone to either my blog about them <--CLICK
    ,
Or to the website www.migraines.org ?
It may shed a bit of insight, although you probably are familiar with most of it anyway.
Give Miss Rachelle a hug for me! I am sorry about the tonsils. Antibiotics are nasty lots of the time.
Please go back to the hospital and they will change her prescription for her

    XOXO

And so funny you will hurt yourself.

  20. It's an evening primrose. You can stand and watch the flowers open in the evening. they unwind like morning glory. Evening Primrose is a good herb for "women's troubles".

  21. YAY!

    Too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya think she'd go for it?
Thank you so much for making me smile (and giggle) this morning)!
    Oh, sneezed too.
