[My] Life in Wisconsin

Casey Medical History- Just for me and Casey

CaseyAnne's Medical History:
  • 1998 – Tonsillectomy
  • Dec 2000 – Appendectomy due to chronic appendicitis
  • Oct 2005 – Plerodesis with talc powder. Spontaneous pneumothorax on the right side, 20% collapsed. Did have one years earlier, but it was only 5% collapsed and it healed by itself.
  • April 2006 to Dec 2008 – Chronic Pancreatitis. Although Dr. Sutherland, who performed my Total Pancreatectomy with Auto-Islet Transplant (Dec 2008), believes that I’ve had it ever since I was young and having bouts of severe stomach problems. We had been told it was the flu or food poisoning and no blood tests were done at that age.
  • May 2006 – ERCP to check for pancreatic duct problems
  • July 2006 – Cholesysectomy due to crystals found in gall bladder during an ERCP
  • Sept 2006 – Partial lobectomy on right side due to another spontaneous pneumothorax. They found “blebs” to be the cause of the 60% collapse and removed that top part of my right lung
  • April 2007 – ERCP with manometry done. Found high pressure in pancreas.
  • Aug 2007 – Small bowel follow through done with barium
  • Aug 2007 – Exploratory laparoscopy done to look for endometriosis
  • Sept 2007 – Colonoscopy
  • April & August 2008 – EUS’s done
  • Dec 18th 2008 – Total Pancreatectomy with Auto-Islet cell Transplant (TP/AIT) done by Dr. Sutherland at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Found the pancreas to be extremely deteriorated, but did yield many islet cells which were transplanted into my liver
  • April 2009 – Partial colectomy, removed over 80% of my colon due to toxic megacolon,
  • Jan 2010 – Antrectomy with Roux en Y Gastrojejunostomy. Antrectomy because of painful gastroparesis. Roux en y because of bile backing up from my small intestine into my stomach.
  • May-June 2010    Received a total of six weekly iron infusions
