[My] Life in Wisconsin

Hi Everyone; I had a blog all ready to go, almost- Just had to add a few more pictures... This was last night. About 10:30 the whole computer froze up- (And I did too- just as soon as I began seeing that damned blinding aura). I have had a nasty migraine since about 11 last night- I have not slept for even ten seconds! I have accomplished nothing, save for a load of whites that are now in the dryer. Nor have I eaten anything besides a few pieces of Polly's chocolates, plus my headache -and back- pills. I really messed up my caffeine the other day- so that is exactly why I shouldn't be surprised that this happened... I am quite useless right about now- But just wanted to let y'all know that I am alive. I checked- there is a pulse! {And as always, there is a heart also. And it's for ALL of you}! I am going to try to blog yet again... Wish me luck... ~XOXO, Me~~~

  1. Good luck dear, Annie, and I hope you feel better soon. Do you have to watch that you don't have too much caffeine?

  2. No.
I just have a certain amount that if I go over- or worse, lack- it will set it off big-time.
But I am happy that I haven't barfed. hehehe
A little chocolate does WONDERS for that, AND for the migraine itself. (It's the 'bromine' in the "real" chocolate that helps).

Actiually, anything that sets off migraines will also 'fix' them- Go figure.
    But it's true!

    XOXO

  9. Head aches here as well..but not migraine related. Pollen and stress are my culprits. Can't sleep due to the evil hot flashes I have...and insomnia is driving me crazy. It's also been pretty warm at night for this time of year...I know ya'll are still having winter...and our spring has slipped a few days and gone into summer...as it was 70 at 6a.m. today.
    Hope you feel better soon.

  10. You might want to investigate www.The Reconnection.com I don't know a lot about it, but I know a trained practitioner. Her name is Jill and her email address is sjlgodspped@hotmail.com.. She can no doubt explain it to you in detail and provide you with more sources of information.

I do know that is has to do with channeling your body's natural energy and using it to relieve pain.

Again, I don't know a lot about it, but it remands me of when my son was attending Notre Dame.

One of his classmates was diagnosed with a particularly virulent and fast acting Cancer. He decided to live you his final days at Notre Dame.

They lived in a rather Bohemian neighborhood, not unlike those surrounding many college campuses.

In this neighborhood were Muslims, Christians, Shinto, Buddhists and a little old Jewish lady who was everybody's "Jewish Mother." She made certain they ate well and dressed warm and never missed a day of class.

When the young man finally passed on, they had a traditional Irish Wake with lots of people, food, drink and laughter. (We Irish look upon death as a joyous occasion with our optimistic belief that the deceased has moved to a better place.)

The Jewish lady finally showed up, carrying steaming pot of Chicken soup. One of the students volunteered to take it to the kitchen with the other food, but the lady insisted she needed to keep it so she could serve some to "him" (the departed lying in state in the room.)

Everyone got real quiet, and finally a priest came over and suggested that it was a wonderful thought, but probably just a little too late to help him.

She looked him right in the eye and said, "What could it hoit?"

This became the rallying cry for several generations of Domers ... trying to decide whether or not to attend class, the question was "What could it hoit?" To join a study group or not, "What could it hoit?"

Perhaps the same thing applies to Reconnective Healing. What could it hoit?

  11. One day I craved peanuts and a coke. Got that craving satisfied only to have a huge need for chocolate a day or two later. Then the next day the migraine hit me. I know better than to eat those trigger foods but, darn it, my craving mechanism was greater than my willpower.
