  1. I watched the new prez stumble through his words for an hour last night. Seems like he is learning how to speak the same way Bush did. LOL! I'm sure he has to be careful with his words and think before he speaks when asked a question without a preplanned answer. Bush was ridiculed and made fun of for doing it. I wonder if Obama will be.

I am STILL waiting to see those "real stones." Nothing really happening as of yet. Maybe next year if he can get congress to work with him. You know how they can be.

  2. I listened as well to the speech. The stumbling through and a bit of back tracking. I thought I heard him answer one question with "I forgot..." LOL it's a lot harder than anyone would think.

  3. Hi All;
I posted this right after the Senate passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
It has resounded within for a few days
President Obama did not say this in his speech last night, nor did he say it today in Fort Myers- it was a few days ago as he was interviewed by CNN.

    Yes, the truth hurts.
Yes, it will take us a very very long time to recover from what Wall Street has done to us all; especially given the fact that it was all ignored for so long.

I am chuckling at those people who do not listen to the grim reality of the situation- or do not comprehend it all.
I surely do not comprehend it all, but neither do I bury my head in the sand! I have read a comment somewhere, where the person actually walked out of the room if the TV was on talking about the financial ruin we are in. (But felt they knew enough to leave a lengthy comment on the whole thing). Now THAT is funny; and worth either a chuckle or a tear!

    Back to tightening our belts.

If you think you cannot do this anymore, please check your trash can. What can you live without?

Do NOT allow the lessons learned by our parents and grandparents during The Great Depression fall to the wayside.
    This is necessary.

Listen to your parents and grandparents.

This is my own experience with predatory lending. (Suffice to say that many banks are now at that same level).
    From the "Nitwit Corner"... http://flintville.multiply.com/journal/item/21

Having been in the position of facing foreclosure I dealt with them, fighting tooth and nail to have them correctly apply my monthly mortgage payments... Almost from Day One, they misappropriated my monies. They added on charges; late fees, insurances (that I didn't need because I already had it)... etc etc etc.

Long story short, I ultimately hired an attorney who corrected all of this garbage for me. Sadly, it was my 15 minutes of fame. One of the local TV Stations had come out and actually listened to me about this all too. (The picture above was taken when the National News had picked up the story. The photo is of one of the bigshots who would not answer questions for them).

But it was a harrowing experience to be served foreclosure papers on a loan that I had not defaulted on. I had also visited a total of 8 other attorneys before finding one that told me I did NOT have to file bankruptcy to keep my home.

After visiting the BadBB Website this morning, I see that Fairbanks has not changed their tactics.

Fairbanks Capital is owned and operated by The PMI Group, a publicly-traded corporation (NYSE: PMI), that is a worldwide provider of Private Mortgage Insurance. They are also a major contributor to the highly respected Non-profit organization
Habitat for Humanity. This organization is dedicated to providing quality and affordable housing for the poor.

The PMI Group uses Habitat for Humanity to get unlimited Public-Relation points and to deflect criticism about its corrupt relationship with Fairbanks Capital.

The PMI Group helps build houses for the poor by financially supporting Habitat for Humanity, why would they want to be involved with Fairbanks Capital ?? The answer should be obvious. This is the PMI circle of profit and deceit.

We are going to continue our investigation on The PMI Group and its relationship With Fairbanks Capital. We will also provide updates and additional information to guide other Fairbanks Capital victims.
