Casey was down at Kelli's with the horses. (Tim had just gotten home). I was here. Casey called over to Sam when she got back here I called down to Wouters to make sure it isn't anyone else we know and love. So far so good. All present and accounted for...
A 54 year old woman, driving drunk, put seven people in the hospital and killed a 71 year old man who was going to the store to buy something for the BBQ!!! She had one accident and fled and then had the second one which resulted in the death of that man. My son is a paramedic and it happened close to his house. He said she must of been doing 70 mph when she hit that man in the rear. He said it must of snapped his neck and he never knew what happened. It put the trunk right through the car up to the front seat. Four of the injured people are children. They don't give them enough of a sentence here to stop it. It does make me feel sick.
I'll keep this person in my prayers and his family too. Glad it wasn't you Annie baby!!! :) and kisses to Casey.
It was a 23 year old from Krakow named Jeffrey Powell. I was outside picking apples and saw the whole accident. I dialed 911 as soon as I saw the car start to skid. I was the first one there - he had a faint pulse and I began CPR but he was gone before the paramedics got here. He had serious head trauma, bleeding from the mouth and ears and his head was cracked open. He was traveling 65 mph or more when he struck a mailbox and seemed to overcorrect his steering and his car flipped end over end and he was ejected about 50 feet from where his car landed.
My Dearest Katie, You see, this is just another reason why I will always call you "Angel" I am so sorry that you had to go through that. But I am terribly happy for him that you were there for him in those final moments. Nykquee's mom was the County 1st responder- (They live back on Pittco). So I am sure you met her. What a horrible evening for you both of you special people.
Hope it is none of yours..Love and prayers
