[My] Life in Wisconsin

Full Frontal! (And "the moon" too)!

SatRAIN
This is what popped up on my weather screen earlier today.
Interesting!
And gives us a bit more rain today too.
.
.
Good Morning!
We are finally to get out of the high 60's and lower 70's - And perhaps even a chance of seeing a bit of sunshine today too!

That sunshine, mixed well with the rains we have already gotten, have caused a few more flowers to blow up!

Pretty!
"If the first week of August is unusually warm, the winter will be white and long."
From The Old Farmer's Almanac

.
.
.
No worries there. The first week of our August was unusually cool.
Today to be in the mid 80's, with plenty of humidity. And a chance for a nasty T~storm later on in the afternoon or evening.
Tomorrow will be in the 90's, with a heat index over 100. (Me no likey)!

Damn fine thing that pool is all shocked, and de~algae~ed, (among other things).
We will be using it!

You giggled at the shot I took of Greg, er, "filling the pool".
hehehe
(I giggled too)!

So, without further adieu...
Here's that full frontal shot...

Such a helpful cutie! (um, "I guess").

Hey, I didn't say Full Monty.
.
.
Having had to go 'shopping' for a few things to re~secure my home, Casey and I had stopped and bought a box spring for their new bed.
When Jenne left town, she had told me to $ell the rest of the stuff she had left behind.
Casey has paid me a dollar for the handmade bed I had originally given to Jenne. I had also given her a brand new pillowtop Serta, which she had also left behind. (Another dollar has exchanged hands).
While we were out shopping that day, I had made my way back to the car to pull up front.
I had to wait for these guys to cross...

Brave little buggars they were too!
.
.
We got back here and worked a while more on the pool. Straightening out the pool cover, Casey got a wasp in her jeans...
Stung her 4 times too!
Up until that point, I really didn't know how well Casey could dance.
~More of a jig, complete with sound effects, than a real dance though.
Must have been the Sullivan "Irish" in her blood coming out-
(The drunken Irishman also rearing his ugly head)!
hehehe
.
.
Cnv0942
After a generous splattering of Extra~Strength Benadryl cream
she then attached an ice pack to her back side
before heading down to Kelli's to help with the horses.

The pool at moonrise- Thursday evening...

We are invited to go over to Laurie's this afternoon. A party for my godson.

Sean is home from Iraq!

Sean Klein
(Sorry I couldn't make it any bigger)...
.
.
If the weather doesn't get too hot too early I may stay a bit longer than Casey and Greg- (They will be dining on Sushi tonight).
Even if those storms come later, maybe they will be gone by moonrise tonight.

I took this picture as I wandered outside on Thursday night...

  1. Sweet Annie,

Sweet Pea is one of my favorite flowers. It is also the flower for my birth month.

Greg is such a big help and a blessing I'm sure to you and Casey both.

Look Mom, FEATHERS!!!!! (I want some, they make lovely fans.)

Poor Casey. At least she can keep a smile on her face.

I'm SO glad someone (who shall remain nameless but her initials are Sweet Casey and wonderful Greg) helped you get your pool back up. I'm sure it will be a blessing for your back.

Than You Jesus, that Sean came home safely. Thank you Sean for choosing to serve your country.

What an absolutely beautiful moon shot. I wanted to get some last night and it was too cloudy.

You sound better. I'm very glad.

    XOXO.

  2. Sweet Snotball;
Up until they actually flew out, Sean did not even know when he would be getting home. Nasty that.
But he is home! And that is what counts!

I agree with everything you have written- (at least it doesn't hurt to nod)...
About my back- Thursday, yesterday and last night were truly the worst days I have had with it. ('Cept I didn't fall down).

Casey was not, repeat NOT, smiling when that little bitty bee was in her drawers.

Doesn't matter what you throw at Greg either, he always smiles!

    XOXO

  3. I love the picture of the moon.

So glad to here it won't be a long white winter. Been enjoying these summer temps, only thing missin has been outdoor pool time:D

We have had a few variants of wasps and hornets coming in our yard one by one the past couple days. I've asked the kids to try to watch out for them, explaining they are much nastier then their bee cousins my kids are so scared of. I feel for Casey, that had to smart.

Thanks Sean for my family please. I may send you a PM too.

    Have a nice time :D

Glad that Greg is there to help out... He is a blessing to you both!

Had to giggle at the wasp in Casey's pants... I would have made sure she was OK and then LMAO'd :D Too bad you don't have video of her 'Wasp Dance' that would have been priceless! LOL

I wonder if your geese are related to mine??

Give Sean a big 'thanks' from my family for helping to protect our country :)

Sorry that your back is still giving you hell... Steroid shots, maybe???? (Promise that will be the last time I mention it, MAYBE :P LOL!)

    Love Ya!

  7. Simply loveRly moon shot!

I sure hope Casey doesn't have any reactions to that wasp sting(s)! Gosh...one is bad enough!

I ventured out today. Got bored with these inside walls and decided to leave. Ended up doing my cemetery pictures for findagrave. Got hot and decided that was enough. But....NO traffic out today.

  12. I have a bit more than a comment here... Sorry about the blogging in the comment section, but I deemed it appropriate as it gives my account of the wasp incident talked about above! :D

    Hi Again, Sweet Mommy!

LOL! Full frontal... That's only for MY eyes! ;) Sorry, I gotta be sassy once in a while, right??? It was a super cute opportunity! He was having so much fun playing with the water as the pool filled up... Although, the never-ending "Is it done yet?" questions he threw at you got a bit irritating! :D Funny, though!!!

Thank God for the new bed opportunity you and Jenne' have given us as well! My back will be forever grateful AND I get to stretch out more on the bigger bed!!!! Greg decided to go grocery shopping later tonight and I'm falling asleep already so the bed will be set up tomorrow before he leaves for work. I know my minor back issue is nothing compared to yours, but I don't think mine could've handled it today after the little "tweak" that made it feel funny earlier... We owe you BIG TIME for the box spring!!! You're an angel, I just know it!! A lifesaver...

The geesezzz are SO CUTE!!!! I watched them walk across while I waited in the lobby area. Actually, they mozied across veeerrrrryyyyy slllllooooowwwwwwllllyyyyy... They were quite brave, weren't they??? Amazing they are so comfortable with cars especially since they're in town where there's much more traffic!

I cannot believe that little snotball of a wasp got all the way up my pant leg and stung me!!! FOUR TIMES!!!!!! I felt the burning and stinging and once that passed I felt VIOLATED!!!! Darn thing! Three times on the back of my thigh and once on my bum!!! Grrrr... The dance moves were quite improvisational and wish you happened to have a video camera! I couldn't figure out what it was right away. Then I realized I was getting stung so the first thought was to take off the pants.

However, Kelli happened to be driving in and there were about 6 bicyclists on the road, so I ran for the door. Well, hobbled would be a much better term for the way I got there!

Poor Kelli thought I was running away from her!!! She came in the door asking, "Why are you running away from me???" and I told her about the stinging crap going on, and that's about the time she realized I wasn't wearing any pants and am trying to bend in all different directions to see the site where I was stung.

    "You're naked!"

Nope, just no pants on. Still had socks, underwear and was fully clothed from the waist up looking mildly insane trying to bend to see where the stings were! She did well in assisting me and found three of them; the fourth later identified by you after the rest of the redness was gone! Aye aye aye...

I held onto May for a bit while Kelli worked with Breezy, and May must've smelt a whiff of the benadryl cream and liked it! She wouldn't leave the back of my leg alone for a while!!!

I'm glad Sean is back home!! How wonderful to have him back and what a relief it must be to the family and friends who have been waiting anxiously for him to return!

Well, I should get my little hiney to bed!

    Love you MUCH MUCH!
    ~Casey

P.S. Did you know that "mozied", "snotball", "benadryl" and "hiney" aren't in the spell checker on here?? Gee, wonder why... :D

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sweet Irrps!

Yes, I did have a smile on my face after the benadryl cream calmed the inflammation that was there! The ice pack did wonders for the stinging/burning feeling that was left! I have such a great Mom, don't I?? She knows just how to take care of me!!!

We were also glad that we assisted with the pool set-up... Less for Mom to worry about! More cooling fun for us all to enjoy when the weather gets nasty!

    Love to you!
    ~Casey

  14. Sweet Oka!

Sure did SMART!!! I was ready to grab my 20 gauge and take out my revenge! I would've, too, if the target wasn't so darn small... :D

    Love to you!

  15. Sweet Slurkie!

Yes, Greg has been a blessed God~send for us!!! A true breath of fresh air!

Speaking of giggling at the wasp.... Mom's first words, when I started hitting at my jeans, were, "Got bugs???" I laughed at that, right before the 3 more stings... Once I told her it was a wasp, she was very concerned, as she is highly allergic to them and didn't know how I'd react... Laughter comes so easily to us no matter what the situation and since I didn't pass out immediately we were both giggling quite a bit!

I do wish she would've gotten that all on camera, though!!! Might've made the $10,000 prize on America's Funniest Videos!!!

    Love to you!
    ~Casey

  16. Sweet Peachie!

Mom is highly allergic to stings, but I seemed to have made off pretty well. I did feel a bit of tightening in my throat, but that was due to the anxiety of the matter! Once the panic wore off I was fine, but did take two benadryl tablets just in case... The more you get stung, though, the more allergic you become, so I'll be keeping a close eye on that!

What is findagrave?? It sounds really interesting!!! Glad you could ease the boredom, but sad that the weather decided to be so nasty for you! :(

    Love you!
    ~Casey
