[My] Life in Wisconsin

OK. I give up. I can't get to too many of your pages, and when I do, I cannot leave a comment. Have been trying unsuccessfully to get to Bills new blogs, but only succeeded in getting to his top page again, where I could not leave a comment. Grrr!!! Tried leaving comments on 2 of Heidi's and one of Pamela's. Like I said, I quit. Snowstorm on its way, and I have to get into town. Love to all, and Happy Thanksgiving to you all. XOXO, Me

  14. Frustrate not, I will answer your questions here. lol.

There are three basic methods of building a wooden boat and they are Carvel, Clinker or Chine.
Our fighting ships were copper bottomed against worm and this gave them speed as well so they would have been Carvel or Chine.
30 years for a working boat is a good average life in that era.

Further above ------ on my blog
The word Public and Private are reversed in meaning in the UK when applied to the State.
A private school is fee paying and a public school is paid for by the State.
The Public sector is a State owed Department staffed with Public workers
The Private Sector is that funded by private money in the form of shareholders.
There are several rafts of power and/or authority by other bodies too like the Church or the Inns Of Court.
A large number of our Laws do not apply to these privileged sections.

The church of St Mary-church was built in 1230 AD, the School in 1740 and refurbished in 1870.
    Demolished in 1942
    I attended the School about 15 months from 1935 - 1936
It was one of eight Schools for me from the age of 5-14 when I started work.
Basically, I educated myself as well as looking after my mother and brother.
She died very young, just 38 years old, and suffered most of her life.
Her heart was damaged after being locked in a school cupboard all night at the age of six.
