Mondays Casey Update

Mondays Casey Update

Roberta and Casey at St. Marys
Roberta has been up to the hospital, by Caseys side ever since...

.

.

Good Monday Morning;

I have not yet heard anything from the hospital, so am thinking that Casey might still be asleep, or has been too busy with all the nurses that run in and out all the time...

Her bloodwork, (amylase and lipase), came back much better yesterday than they were before; so once again they have treated her pain and not her pancreas.
I put a call in already this morning to Dr Joshua Knox down at Froedtert.
I know Casey has contacted him any number of times in the past few weeks with no return call. Perhaps with my message this morning he will call. ? Hmm...
And if not, then my next message might not be as nice. His problem, not mine.
Oh well.

The doctor at the hospital at least allowed her to eat a little something yesterday. Not sure if that is real good for her pancreas, but I do know it is good for her psyche. And as far as her pancreas goes, I don't think eating will be doing it as much harm as her body does to it anyway!

I AM SO Freakin' SICK AND TIRED OF THIS ALL!
And I can only IMAGINE how frustrated Miss Casey is made to feel about it...

I try.

Must fly for now.

I hope you all are having a great day.

Love to all.

XOXO
Me

Oh, Mama Milly and Miss Punk say "hi" too!
As they wait for Casey to come home!

.

.

Mama Milly has taken to barking incessantly;
so has been wearing her 'bark' collar once more for a few days.
(Or shall I call it her "quiet" collar)?

Taken last month...
(When she felt much better).

.

Good (late) evening;

First of all to thank everyone who wrote to send their prayers and love. I apologize for not having the energy to respond to everyone at this point in time; but please know how much your Faith is appreciated.

As I'd written the entry about my little Miss Punk yesterday (this) morning, Casey had IM'd me, saying how much pain she was in, that it was also interfering with her breathing as it radiated through to her back.
She has had this pain so very often as of late. And yes, it was high time to go to the hospital,
if for no other reason than for a 2nd opinion.
She had stayed in town last night, and so Greg had brought her to the hospital.

As I was finishing up my blog, Kelli's hubby Tim pulled in the yard. (I only have one phone line here, and Casey had my cell).
I knew even before I opened the door that the ER doctors had decided to keep her (and her damnable pancreas) there.

She will have another blood draw in the morning.
She will also have a head CT.
She has had too many migraines, and too many dizzy episodes lately;
these, in addition to having her pancreas betray her.
The doctor has ordered this CT Scan to rule out any possible 2nd events...

I see too that Casey has posted her own blog tonight.
CLICK HERE for her own words.

I am SO tired. But sleep seems to be playing hide~n~seek with me.

Punk is fast asleep. And has not eaten her supper. Seems to have pain tonight, more restless than yesterday...
Perhaps the anesthesia has finally all worn off.
Perhaps it is her own 6th sense of what is happening with CaseyAnne...
(On Tuesday evening, as Casey had sat in the chair and cried, Punk had lay down at her feet and whimpered quietly, every now and then).
So very sweet.
So very gentle.
Very much like our little Casey.

Love to all.

XOXO
Anne
