Sue's Glenn, and My Garlic
Good Morning All;
Another new place to blog!
Imagine- In 2006 I began blogging at Yahoo 360, six years have gone by already! They (360) closed down and many of us sought refuge at Multiply. Having been given notice that Multiply bloggers are being outed to make room for their sales sites, I am now transporting my blogs over to here. (For now). There are well over 1000 blogs that need to be rescued and not forever buried in a cloud somewhere.
My friend Sue lost her husband on Sunday. He had a massive heart attack. He is a member of the Sno-Birds Snowmobile Club, and they were marking the trails for Winter. He fell down at
I Have No Excuse. ;-)
Wild Turkeys back by the campsite-
Anyone hungry? hehehe
Good Morning Everyone!
Matter of fact, once, when it began to snow, the damn birds were so shocked that one even had heart failure...
I hope all is well with everyone!
Oh my goodness I have not blogged in so very long- - - again.
My apologies.
I have not been too busy.
I have not gone on vacation.
I have not croaked... (yet).
*sigh* I see I have no excuse whatsoever. Methinks it's called laziness.
Oh well.
Lots to catch up on.
(Or is that "ketchup")?
This is...
Anyway...
Heck, I never even wrote of Master Gabriel s new quilt- (Christmastime). Oops.
Here it is!
Methinks he likes it too!
It is so way big! Made me laugh as he carried it up to his room.
Kristin later sent me pictures of his 'new' room. And now that I want to post them I cannot find where I downloaded them!
But I did find this one...
How beautiful! -
(The dolphin is too)!!
He made this- "with help" as Kristin wrote.
No worries Gabriel, I would need help too. hehehe
Cousin Buttercup came with her friend Dean-
Notice the aura that is around him-
Oh! We had such a nice visit too!
On one of Punk's visit to the vet I was early and had stopped over to Sue and Glenn's.
They rescue animals- - - - Cats, greyhounds, and deer anyway.
(At least I haven't seen any gators in their pond)... hehehe
She carries one of them down, and they have 2 cats like this.
The other, basking in the sunshine on his favorite chair.
And yes, I have forgotten what breed they are.
Sorry.
Imported- from Florida!
Casey's mid-winter dress.
*** Forgive my mess. I assure you that it is no longer like that-
Friend Christy- and her crew!, came over and cleaned one day last month!
What a day that was- And I think they might have had fun too.
The 4 boys even moved the piano 29 feet across the living room! OMG!
Christy is gone for now-
Her and her hubby are off to Ethiopia to adopt 2 little girls- special needs.
She will have her hands full now.
(What? As if she didn't before)?! hehehe
Back to Casey-
She may end up back here-
Fairview Medical, U of Minneapolis.
She still has much pain- And is very, very, tired; perhaps depressed, about being sick for so very long.
But like many who have suffered as she does, she is much like that Energizer Bunny-
Keeps going and going and going and...
She also had to have a colposcopy- Her paps came back questionable.
The results on the colposcopy were good though. She does this again come August.
What a MILD Winter we have had! As I think most of you have also?
Matter of fact, once, when it began to snow, the damn birds were so shocked that one even had heart failure...
I really have NO idea, but there he was out my door.
(I know this portends something, but I don't remember what)?
I had better close for now- Already it is quite warm out- And Miss Kelli will be bringing Miss Coco and Mr. Miller too. (I haven't told Miss Punk yet because she would give me no peace if she knew).
For now she sleeps.
As does this man.
Happy 30th Birthday Mr. Greg!
And many many happy returns!
I hope all is well with everyone!
XOXO

Intruder Alert! And a Visit To Gritters-
Casey, reading; at her 2nd doctor appointment,
Thursday-
Thursday-
Hi Everyone! Time for me to play a bit of ketchup again-
Wow! It's Sunday already!
Hard to think that so much time gets past me, and so quickly now too.
Still reading, and trying to keep up.
That doesn't work too well. hehehe
Please let me know if I have missed anything earth-shattering?
Got a kick out of Punk the other day-
Clearly she wasn't paying attention...
Whatd'ya mean "turn around"?
HAHAHA! That IS funny!
(She also said to tell PeachieBaby that she is planning on writing a blog... soon)!
We have been busy, between doctor visits and all else.
I had to pick up Punk's allergy meds the other day- And as Suzy Q and hubby Glenn live close to Dr. Spires, we stopped there for a while...
CaseyAnne and Sue-
My apologies Gritter, I can't remember what you called your Mothers Day plant.
(I am still in love with it though)!
They took us out by their deer- Casey immediately fell in love with this little girl-
So sweet she is! (Both 'she's' that is)! hehehe
Glenn feeds her raspberry leaves...
We had such a nice visit- taking them away from their chores for quite a while, but so great to see them both on their turf too! hehehe
They have been here already to get apples and pears. More soon too.
Upon our returning home -to see the fields are being harvested!
And to note a certain invasion as well...
This makes my mouth water!!!
The other morning, chilly, so all the windows had been closed as soon as I'd woke up, Punk began to growl.
Then a bark or two. (The bark she uses for her intruder alert)!
I'd thought that Sue and Glenn were here to pick up the apples and pears for their deer...
No truck, so I checked the yard. No company either.
But Punk sure was itching to get outside.
I checked the middle lawns...
Lo and behold!!!!
How Punk 'heard' him is beyond me!
And that guy wasn't alone either...
He'd brought the whole family! hehehe
One of them making his way up the old barngrade...
And OH, wouldn't they be good like this???
hehehe
That is my rotisserie chicken.
Not one to shoot out of season-
Some, (most) are not empty, so tough to go into other peoples things... But that does not stop me from checking for water under the sinks, and below the tubs and toidies too.
Nice neighborhoods too...
So we will have to see a few more yet.
Casey, making notes and writing down everything unique about each one of them.
We will see a few more next week too.
We have heard nothing about her latest blood test results- yet.
But will keep you all informed to what those tests tell us.
I have to run- Already I am channel hopping between football games...
My Packers play at 3:15 so Casey will be out then. And there will be NO further channel hopping then either!
I have already done my wash, walked twice around the place, (up to almost 3 miles a day if/when my back and head permit). Happy to have the pedometer!
I picked some cantaloupe and squash-
Cantaloupe is pieced and in the fridge- Squash is on the oven. Smells yummy too!
My love to all.
Hope you are having a 'wunnaful' Sunday!
XOXO

One Mo' Blog. Thank you to my Friends.
This bear, received as a gift from a like~minded woman;
I believe that these were Brandy's exact words last Saturday!
-hehehe-
I believe that these were Brandy's exact words last Saturday!
-hehehe-
Good Afternoon!
So much going on at once-
Last weekend was a gift from Heaven, weather wise. It was in the 60's and even a low 70. Very welcomed weather for November. As I type though it is 48° and it isn't to get much warmer any more. Yes, I will be mowing my lawns today with earmuffs on.
Sad/True.
Some of these pics were taken last week, some this week.
Casey has shortened class periods on Tuesdays and Thursdays- She generally drives out before or after those.
Of course Mr. Sputnik comes outside with us now... There are no two ways of getting around that unless I want to come back inside to a cat that actually "hollers" at me. (Too funny he is)!
The weather matters not to him...
...As long as he is getting someones undivided attention!
.
.
.
.
.
.
And what does Punk think of sharing her Casey's attention?
.
.
.
HAHAHA!
Maybe she ate a rotten crab~apple while she grazed?!?
.
.
.
She still loves the rubber Frisbee...
.
.
Casey threw that one! Way up high!
.
.
.
Later that day to have Miss Kelli leave work early so there was still a bit of daylight left at the end of her day.
They chose to walk the dogs to the woods...
.
.
.
.
Krazy Koko had run ahead and was nowhere to be seen anymore...
.
.
.
Coco had gotten fixed 2 weeks earlier; and the vet had "grounded" her with her outings.
Having gotten her stitches out, that rule no longer applied!
Kelli had gone to a trade show and is showing off her new sweatshirt...
.
.
I couldn't agree more!
.
.
Kelli got to go to her trade show. I got to go to WalMart. (Such is life). hehehe
I bought 2 of these bird-feeders. I set one up out the south side of the kitchen; and the other to the west. I can see them both with just a few steps around the kitchen.
I love watching the birds in the middle of the winter. (Ok, anytime). & it never fails to amaze me that the birds can even live when the temps get so far below zero.
.
.
.
Notice the squirrel shields up there.
They work well, so far, too. I haven't had to refill the feeders for over a week!
Perhaps the pillaging varmints have died...
...Seeing as I had to "feed" them too...
.
.
Mmmm!
It is out in the shed.
Punk and Sputnik are away from it.
.
.
Last weekend I literally begged for help. Yes, there ARE some things that my back is not capable of.
As you may know, the damned drains were not fixed yet. And while it bothers me none where the tub and the sink drain, it might bother a potential buyer. (I received a phone call out of the blue last week from a man whose son might be interested in my place. Nephew to Greg who already owns the 25 acres behind me).
So the silly stubborn drain had to be fixed.
.
.
First to roll out the red carpet... hehehe
.Then to free the stinkin' & stubborn "tee" that was plugged up.
.
.
John Pryes rolled up his sleeves and dug in. (Thank God for friends)!
.
While he was cussing up a storm in the crawlspace, Brandy, Casey, Sarah, and Ashley were busy elsewhere. My little dumpster was full to the brim yesterday!
John had to ask "The Boss" what to do next though...
.
.
.
Fair is fair- As appointed Supervisor for the day, Sput had to get dirty too!
Notice this foreman is wearing a necklace made of cobwebs! eeeeeekee!
.
.
Finally getting the old pipe off, John, Casey, and Sarah, made a beeline for Pulaski to get a new one. (The old one being trash by the time it finally gave way).
So you ask, who ended up getting the dang thing off?
That would be Miss Brandy herself!
.
.
You GO, Girl!
She might have been cussing my camera in this picture.
Of course she may have been explaining her work too.
Either way, the job was done! The following day, Punk and I showered and it all went down to the septic, via the correct drain!
Say "YAY!"
.
.
Yesterday Sue and Glenn came to get another truckload of apples!
.
.
I swear there'll be more too
~because I don't know where the heck all these came from to begin with!
But it is done for another year. Thank you Sue and Glenn!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
While Punk did calisthenics with her Frisbee, Glenn fired apples into his box.
.
.
.
"The Suspended Apple!" hehehe
.
.
.
Suzy Q brought my now empty dumpster back up the driveway!
Punk thought she was stealing it?!? Goofy dog!
Time for me to get outside shortly and do the final mowing. After all, I have to get that done before I have to beg John and Brandy to come over again and get the snowplow on the little tractor.
Hope all is well in your little corner of the world. My love to all.
XOXO
Me
PS Contrary to what some believe I do not sit around all day long. You should KNOW me better than that by now. As my back allows, I am sitting, standing, or laying down. Does that afford me time to read? Yes, but only after my work is done thank you very much!
That one truly hurt...
