Crazy in The Night... Added ps "WORD"

Good Morning Friends, Family, Freaks and Wenches!
hehehe

I am the quintessential, independent, single lady... er, most of the time anyway... And very few things "boo~spook" me.

(It occurs to me now that last night was quite the exception to THAT rule)...

After napping most of the afternoon away, I was "up and at 'em" later on.

Knowing- (and loving)- the fact it was so peaceful, I decided to write out a few more of my Christmas cards... Punkie at my feet, and every now and then some silly noise from outside. The deer have taken to mowing down the birdfeeders as I fill them, and knocking the contents to the ground so they can get their mouthfuls. Leaving the seeds and feeds scattered on the ground presents no problems for the birds- as they can just as easliy get their fill from down there... Well, what's left of it anyway. (It does seem to get a bit $pendy for me though)!

I am far from being done with my little cards, as I always write a few lines to everybody. I have a girlfriend that orders her cards, complete with their names on them and simply puts them in an envelope. To me this takes so much of the "holly"day spirit from the cards... (and it's kinda lazy too)! But that is only MY opinion.

I actually use the cards I receive to 'decorate' with... Putiing them up here and there- and of course the ones that have the nicest messages are always at eye~level, ready for reading, should anybody want to see.

But, back to my late-night worries...

At about 12:30 I had decided to stop writing, and watch a bit of TV... Punk will join me on the couch when I do this; and usually falls to sleep very quickly. About 5 minutes after sitting, I heard a huge "BANG"...

Punkin's head shot up. Then lowered. She began to growl. Low. Throaty. (That gives me goosebumps; me no likey)! Then she lay her head down again... 5 minutes later, another "bang"- She got down off the couch this time, and this time, along with the growls, her hair slowly stood up.

I shut off the TV to keep it dark inside, and started peeking out the windows. I could see nothing, anywhere. But living in the middle of bf nowhere, this did not surprise me. I am also quite cozied in by trees to keep the road noises down. Meanwhile I noticed that Miss Milly, out in the kennel, had not moved, nor barked. And so, taking Punk (and the cordless phone) with me, I went to check it all out. (From the INSIDE)...

My windows and doors were securely locked, and in peeking out of the upstairs windows I noticed the traffic (what little there was) going at a very normal pace- (ie: not slowing or swerving etc)...

A few more "BANGS" later, and the heck with it, I dialed 9~11... My conversation with the lady was even odd, as the first thing she asked me was the address of the problem... I told her I wasn't sure... As I tried to explain, she asked could this have been gunshot? Who knows, it sounded more like fireworks I supposed... (Now who would be hunting what at one in the morning? That's kinda wierd to even think about). She said she would send a car to patrol; but even knowing that, I didn't fall to sleep too easily. (Besides, my damned mouth hurt, but I was not about to take a pain pill til I knew what was going on).

I did fall asleep after a few more 'bangs'... And still do not know what the heck they were... But at least I slept!

These noises were definitely from the outside, and sporadic at best. I shall have to go see after I get in the shower... (I probably called the cops on someone sharing fireworks to celebrate the warm temps)! It is almost 40 as I write- and should remain that way for most of the day. (YAY)! And I am now to the point that I do not even care if we have a White Christmas or not. (Nicer on the heating bill this way)! hehehe

I'd better close, take that shower and get outside- A bit of sunshine too! Very cool that!

Oh yeah, and a Packer Jersey to boot!

Have a grand Sunday!

XOXO

Anne

Crazy In The Night
(Kim Carnes)
Sometimes I really think I'm going crazy in the night
When I hide down in the covers And I won't turn on the light
I think nothing's gonna get me But then again it might
What can I do to keep from going Crazy in the night

I need a drink of water But I swallow hard instead
Cause it's hard to move a muscle When you're frozen in your bed
If I could make it to the phone Before I die of fright
What can I do to keep from going Crazy in the night

"Sometimes she really thinks She's going crazy in the night
When she hides down in the covers And she won't turn on the light
She says nothing's gonna get to her But then again it might
What can she do to keep from going Crazy in the night?"

There's a monster on my ceiling There's a monster on the wall
There are thousands in the closet Now they're coming down the hall
I'm so hidden they can't find me But then again they might
What can I do to keep from going Crazy in the night?

And if I disappeared Do you think they'd ever look
Would I be headlines in the paper Or the cover of the book
Got to pull myself together I don't want to die of fright
What can I do to keep from going Crazy in the night?

"Sometimes she really thinks She's going crazy in the night
When she hides down in the covers And she won't turn on the light
She says nothing's gonna get to her But then again it might
What can she do to keep from going Crazy in the night?"

And no, I was not "Boo~Spooked" enough to grab one... (but I do recall that one was very closeby)!
hehehe

Me~ again...

oh and PPS... I never DO finish all of my cards before Christmas, but I have never sent them out in February either... (maybe this year will be that exception)! hehehe

DON'T BRUSH YOUR TEETH! Simple Words to the Wise

Good Morning!
And I need absolutely to start off with a warning!
If you are overly sensitive to questionable talk at the breakfast table, please do not be reading this while you are eating.
After losing 2 teeth here, and after questioning the dentist, I have learned almost MORE than I needed to know...

However, this information should be shared with anyone who has ever thrown up...

As you all know, I get migraines- (too many to count even in a single month).
Along with my migraines come the sensitivities to light, sound smell, etc etc etc... And most are accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

The dentist has now informed me that I have the mouth of a migraneur! (Yes, even after I told him of my preference to Cherry Pepsi)... He said the teeth would be 'cavetized' on other surfaces, had this been due to the sodas.
He also told me I needed to learn what to do after I vomit. (This, after I told him that I rinse then brush immediately afterwards)...
He said simply that "brushing immediately is the very worst thing one can do."
WHAT???
He said that when one brushes immediately afterward, that you are actually forcing the stomach acids down into your gums. I am to rinse and swish my mouth out with warm water, (after ten minutes or until my mouth regains a more normal feel and taste to it), and only after that am I allowed to brush my teeth.
And yes, this makes almost obvious sense. But then I just had to ask why it took me 30+ years of this BS before anyone told me this??? Needless to say I am more than a little upset about that! And in the meantime, I have done MUCH damage too. And that thought just makes me ill to think on.
So, heed these WORDS to the WISE here...
If you are ever ill, please do NOT brush immediately.
I always thought it odd that I could sit and floss every night while I watched tv, and always took decent care of my pearly whites; and yet still had problems???
NOW I KNOW WHY!  (And now you do too)!

I received a call from Aaron last night (my soon-to-be Son-in-Law), asking for my blessings on their impending marriage... What a sweetheart!
And yes, of course they have my entire heartful of blessings. We chatted for as long as my mouth could handle it- He sounds so very happy! (But of course, since this is one of my daughters hearts and hands in question, I could not imagine that he wouldn't be)! He also said that it looks like Monday will be "The Day"- He works such terrible hours and trying to even get a few hours off to get married is a tough thing! (Those of you in the IT line of work will be able to sympathize with that)!

I spoke to Miss Valerie yesterday too- She called about noon; and is doing quite well for someone who has just had her tonsils removed. She proudly told me that she had ice cream and a Popsicle for breakfast!
As for myself, I was afraid to eat because I didn't want to create pain where it had been so minimal. (But my tummy won that argument by about 6 last night)... hehehe Since I hadn't eaten in 2 days, I took it easy for that meal- a bowl of pea soup and a few of the yummy oyster crackers in it... Oh, and it was more than enough too. The simple act of crunching those crackers was a little bit of Heaven in my mouth! Now a very rare prime rib would be great too!
Yes, I do have a bit more pain today than yesterday; a wee bit in my teeth, but primarily in my jaw...
(They didn't really need to use a two-ton floor-jack for keeping my mouth open, did they)? That wasn't in the contract...
Hopefully this discomfort too shall pass quickly. I have always been a fast healer. Lucky me!
And I'd better close before I make everyone here an odd shade of green!
My apologies... It is just TOO important NOT to share.
Take care, and have a 'wunnaful' weekend!!!

XOXO
Anne

Sans Tonsils and Teeth!

Good Morning!

This picture is of my Little Miss Valerie- asleep after her tonsillectomy, and doing well already yesterday afternoon!

there is so much to be said for being cozy and comfy...

And so, I wake up this morning... (and quite belatedly, I might add because I couldn't fall asleep to save my soul )... I am one of the few who, when given narcotics, stay awake forever...

Upon arising, I find that I have been very literally broken into and robbed! (YOKES)!

I have been violated; and there is a molar missing! (wtf? and call the cops already)!!!

Upon my hazy memory kicking in, I do seem to have some recollection of the thief... He was actually quite cute- Dark hair, (and mesmerizing enough to completely knock me out)... But I do remember something very cold on my arm before they put the IV in... To numb it so it doesn't hurt? I told him I was not afraid of needles, (and told him that I welcome them when I have a migraine too). I remember holding Caseys hand and telling her she had to remain in the room. (Yeah, right). I was out for no longer than 20 minutes; and he also removed a previous $1100.00 root canal tooth that was not going to survive much longer.

The worst part is the waking up. I swear that nurse screamed at me! But I am sure she didn't; just when you are dead asleep, and you hear anything it startles you into this awful thought of "WAKIE WAKIE" and you don't want to. Having my mouth full of gauze, I couldn't speak, (not that I wanted to), but the first thing I noticed was that there was NO MORE PAIN! (and then to notice I cannot feel my face either, so he 'froze me' so I wouldn't go 'nutso' when I woke)... Little does HE know! hehehe

Casey delivered me home; and then went to go pick up the pain meds for me- In the meanwhile I was 'thawing out' ...and realizing that the prickly feeling was all I was feeling! I do not know how very much pain I must have been in before this, but I do know I have not had such a pain~free mouth in quite a while!!! Yes Doctor, money well $pent! (Even though I am thinking I made the next payment on his vehicle)!

I called Zoe and Valerie in the meanwhile too. Miss Valerie sounding great as I spoke to her on the phone too! (After seeing how Zoe and Casey had come through their own tonsillectomies, I was absolutely floored by how great Valerie sounded)! Hope she got some good sleep last night too!

Such a beautiful child too!

A very smiley Valerie......... .......Aunt Berta cutting her hair last week

Zoe had sent me these pictures yesterday afternoon already! (Perhaps she has inherited my own mothers photo gene! Sure hope so)!

Haven't heard diddley~squat from Texas either... Hope all is well with all of my cowpokes down yonder!

I had best keep this short today... Life is waiting!!! (as are my Christmas cards still)...

Hope all is well with everybody in My Little 360 Wonder~World; and that you are safe, warm and cozy in your little corner of it too!

Now go have a damned fine weekend! hehehe (And I shall try to do the very same)!

XOXO
Anne!!!

Hee-Haw, Tonsils, and Toothaches!

"Gloom. Despair. (And agony on me)! Deep dark depression; oppressive misery... If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Gloom. Despair. (And agony on me)! ..."

...From "Hee-Haw" (And if you do not know what Hee-Haw is you shall have to click on that)... I see that it was not broadcast outside of the U.S. of A.

Life. (MINE, dammit). I have a teeny~tiny confession to make to you all. Having LIED through my teeth- (gasp) to everyone!

(Bless Me, Father; for I have sinned)...

do you see a liar, or a person?

Yes, the stupid tooth hurts still. And YES, I went to the DDS yesterday. And no, they only gave me more painkillers to take til my appointment today with the 'sleep' orthoguy... KC is bringing me in so I can get put to sleep. He will remove the offensive tooth. (Or maybe all of them)? hehehe You have GOT to love sedation dentistry!

And just so y'all know my lineage here, (I really didn't stand a chance)!; I thought I would include a few priceless entries from my familys photo album...

There is GRANDMAMAW!!!

..married 7 times!!!

There is DADDY!!!

he's a doll!!!

There are my BROTHERS too....

ain't they 'shore' jes so sweet~lookin'?

...Just so you know exactly what I will be looking like at about noon today! hehehe They said it was a back tooth for me... Maybe it won't really 'show' then?

Gee, does anybody wanna 'photoshop' THIS one for me?

hehehehehehehehehe...

No, I do not suppose it will be all that bad... (At least I hope not)! And I do feel worse for my Little Miss Valerie... She will be having her tonsils out this morning... Poor little girl...

But I am glad that she is having it done young enough. (CaseyAnne was almost 12, Zoe was about 20; and they both had such a terrible time with it all)...

And so, Miss Valerie will be babysitting me come Monday... (Lord only knows I shall probably need all her help too)!

Our roles will be reversed come Monday!

And life will go on...

Back to real life today...

I took this picture a while back...

...the movement of my arm made these little Green Bay Packer "G"'s perfectly!

Did anyone catch the Packer Game on Sunday last? A great win over the SanFran 49'ers, (and I was barred from even watching it)!!!

Kind of a fun story about that too. I had been cooking/baking etc... and running back and forth from the kitchen to the living room, sneaking peeks at the game during the first half. My friend Kelli called at halftime, I told her what I had been doing, and she told me that whatever it was that I HAD to keep doing it... (Desperate for a win, I will do anything I can)! When there was about 5 minutes left to the game, I called down the road, Tim answered and I asked Kelli's permission to sit and watch the rest of the game; we were ahead 30-13 at that point... (Pretty please)? She says yes, I had her permission to go sit down and take a load off... As soon as I sat down, didn't the 49'ers score a touchdown... My phone rang almost immediately, (and I knew it was Kelli going to tell me to go "get OUT of the living room")! Funny!!!

Christmas thoughts now... Does anyone else just LOVE these little decorations? About 3" tall, they have "squeezie things" that allow them to clamp onto things...

I always LQQK for more when I go rummaging, but they seem pretty hard to come by too... If anyone ever sees a "Yukon Cornelius" or a "Lookee see what HE can do" The Abominable, please let me know!

And now I must go 'find' my house once again... (I am fairly certain I will not feel like scrubbing the floors when I get home this afternoon)! hehehe

And like I said earlier; Life WILL go on!!!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week; (and just in case I do not post tomorrow, have a grand weekend too)!

XOXO
Anne

Not About Me??? Ya Gotta be Kidding!

Good Morning All;

If I am NOT to write about myself, then whatever shall I write about??? Hmmmm...

Having been properly chastised and reminded how selfish and shallow I am, I shall now try to write about something else as I hang my head in absolute shame and humiliation...

How about I write about the rock pictured above? ... nah...

How about sharing this then? Posted to the Bloggers Anonymous Group of which I am a member came the following. I did find it quite interesting and hope you do too... hehehe

How I Feel!

Good Afternoon Peoples!!!

Open the pups mouth... peek inside... (if you dare)!

Even my Miss Punkie says the heck with paeons, the morons and the idiots too!!!

(ya gotta love a pup like that)! hehehe

A while back, Zach was here- Such a funny young man... Had stolen my hand and neck/shoulder braces, and had left me a message on the apron to the garage...

Kids like this make it all worthwhile!!!  Very cool!!

Another fine day it has been... I spent a good part of the afternoon out with the dogs; as Punk had her appointment for her 'puppicure' for 3:30.  This takes about 3 hours to get her completely dry now, so Berta, Casey and Gabriel will be getting her later then...

As soon as I knew they would be taking her in, I took both dogs back to the woods- (I wanted Punkie to be a bit less of a wound up 80 pound puppy for the gals at the groomers)!

Miss Milly had to stop and wait for us. She was SO excited!

But I wasn't too sure the woods were even still there as it was/IS so darned foggy...

...and foggy on the way back home too!

My little Punkin is getting much bigger than her own mother already... She has at least about 15~20 pounds on her, and about 3 and a half inches at the shoulders... And yet, they are playing together a whole LOT better than they were a few weeks ago. Miss Milly sure gets moody at times. (Must be those doggie hormones)...

the old tug~of~war with a stick...

But still they look so very much alike too...

Milly...................................................................................Punk

Jesse stopped by last night... Now you have to know Jesse- I have known his family for almost 20 years. In those 20 years, Jesse has become much like a son to me...  He dated Roberta for a while; and when they would go to Dairy Queen on Monday nights, they always brought Little Casey along...  This was many years ago, and even though Jesse and Berta broke up, they are still good friends. After the break~up, Jesse still would come and take Casey to DQ on Monday nights.

Jesse and KC Last Christmas......................Jesse and KC Last Summer

Anyway, he stopped in last night... Helped me carry one of the La~Z~Boys to the basement- (No room in the living room for that chair with the silly Christmas tree in there)...   Punkie followed us downstairs, and Jesse said, "Why is she in the house when it's damn near 40 degrees outside?"  I said, "Because she is a house dog."   He said, "Now she's gonna be a house dog?"   It took a minute before I'd realized he thought Miss Punk was actually Miss Milly. I clued him in, and he said "No Way!"  He hadn't seen her for a few months, and his reaction was PRICELESS!!!   That realization was just so startling to him!   Fun to see!!!

Oh, I am BACK again...  The time has surely gotten away from me tonight- and the kids are back with Punkie in tow... (and a very CLEAN Punkie she is too)!

I had them take my car because it has fog lights on it...

And I had better close and get my jammies on; and maybe even get to sleep a bit early!

Hope you all had a great Tuesday!!!!

XOXO

Anne

She's B-a-a-a-ck!!! With an added PS...

And she is back with a very special message for everyone who is partaking of anything spicy or fizzy!  Like anyone who ate any of my chili!! hehehe

Image

(Maybe like a special note to Marty the Bear)?!?!

No major problems for her at any of the airports; save a 4~hour layover in St. Louis...  But from St. Louis to Chicago, she at least had someone nice to talk with...

Roberta stopped by to collect both the $$ and the shopping list from me; she would do my shopping before she picked Casey up at the airport.  (And I know this Grandma is biased and/or partial, but Master Gabriel is just such a joy... and ever so handsome too)!

Image

(Even in pain, he is such a living, breathing doll)!

After she had deposited Casey back here and we had eaten, she still had to go cut Miss Valeries hair.  Gabriel was a bit fussy, and I rocked with him and he had his little blanket too-  Having been quite deprived of a nap yesterday, he was still holding his own, and only a bit bent out of shape about it all... He refused anything more than a few bites of the Tater~Tot Casserole, and just wanted a bit of loving and to be held... His eyes looking a bit odd, and I asked her if she thought he might have a headache.  He had almost fell to sleep on my lap then when his Mama said it was time to go and cut hair...

Image

Casey and I were also quite tired, and both of us fell asleep by about 10~ish...  She had gone upstairs, and Punk and I had settled in the living room.     About 20 after one this morning, Roberta called to say she had to bring little Gabriel in to the Emergency Room- He had a temp of 104+ -and still had not slept; but had been very very uncomfortable all night long.  (104 is 'pushing it' for a 14 month old toddler), and she wasn't taking any chances.

Since I had gotten a few hours of sleep, I woke up then, let Punkie out and tried to do a bit of catching up with all of your blogs...   Spoke to Roberta about 4, and they could not find anything wrong...

So they say what every doctor will say in a situation like this... (And how many of us mothers have heard this one)?

"(S)He has a virus, make sure (s)he gets enough liquids, give her/him advil for the fever and the pain, and should it not resolve itself with in *X* number of days, please see your regular pediatrician."

blah blah blah...

Roberta not buying any of it, watching him closely and knowing how he felt, suggested to me after they had gotten home, that perhaps he had inherited the nasty migraine disease from herself.  Makes sense to me too- having seen that "look" in his eyes, the fever (from pain) and the refusal to eat, (but then to barf it up anyway)... Why didn't we think about this before???   And it makes me wonder in Roberta and Caseys situations when they were ever so little, how many of their own insidious crap was due to this disease too?    I told her to give him a bit of Mountain Dew and Chocolate should he awaken and still have that look about him...  Weirdly enough this combination actually works...  Not entirely sure why either.

And much later on, I went back to sleep~ until after 10!!!   (Yes, A.M.)!!!

Master Gabriel is fine today, driving home Roberta's own diagnosis, in almost no uncertain terms- and certainly not reinforcing the 'virus' explanation that came from the doctors at the E.R.

Casey slept until almost 11... She had her wash to do so I quick got in the shower... And it has been a calm and quiet day for us...  Yes, my toothache is gone!  And no it was not infected (unless Gabriel and I share such a grand scale immune system)... Just a bit had broken off is all; and yeah, it takes a while for the pain to go away is all.

No, dentists around here do not accept 'payments' no matter how 'well~off'  a patient may be, (nor in how much pain), nor how great their insurance plans are. That is simply not done, no matter how one tries to arrange it all... I didn't realize it would/could be any different in any other areas?  (Hmmm, Please let me know where to relocate)?!?! hehehe... But all better now!  Casey still has work to be done on her own mouth and hers will come first.

My hand, thumb and index finger are all still working... and as DeeAnne described it best yesterday it is the pain of sleepy feet waking, TIMES 100, to be having it all regain function...   Yet it is SO worth it too!

(I am still looking at them, making them move, and proclaiming this 'healing' yet another miracle in my life)!!!

And I am ever so happy that "All's well that ends well" too!

Even Punkie waited anxiously for Casey to come home yesterday...

Image

(But I think she was showing off the fact that she needs her nails redone)!

Oh, and the window in the door to the entrance?  Broken long ago- (maybe Mary had seen another "MOW-ISS" and jumped through it).  I never put a new one in, and it worked wonders to have the litterbox in the basement and Mr. Amos could "go" anytime he needed to!!!

Time for this granny to be fixin' some dinner, so will end this on that note today-

Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday... (Really, is there such a thing)??? hehehe

XOXO

Anne

Oh and before I forget, please visit my daughter  Jennifer's 360 Page too, and welcome her to our 360 World!!!   Now that she is in Texas, we will be keeping in touch through here!   (And yeah, she's got a sense of humor that could make Red Skelton roll over a few times)...

Have fun with all the links!!!

An added PS now that I want everyone to please understand...

It is an indisputable and very well known fact that what causes migraines also makes them dissipate...

The above 'migraine disease'  link puts many of the outdated ideas and old wives tales to rest too... Hence the few swallows of these items will make Gabriel at least "weller" enough to sleep.

Clearly, I really was not joking; those statements were made in all seriousness.

I myself do not ever "Do the Dew" unless I am getting a migraine... The same goes for partaking of anything with real chocolate in it. (The Maxalt is quite expen$ive, and since I have been known to be a bit miserly myself, I go straight for a Can of Dew first, then the chocolate... And if I am not feeling better in a few minutes, then I will take the Maxalt).  Ofttimes, this actually DOES work, but only on MIGRAINE mind you...

XOXO

Me again...

Wonderful, Terrible Nights!

Good Morning!

No that is not a picture of me, but I do love its polevaulting portrayal...

As many of you already know, I do not sleep well... (Nor was last night any exception to this rule).  Having been sleeping quite lightly anyway because of a nasty toothache, there was not really a comfortable position with due respect to my mouth, (and the heartbeat that has centralized on my gums)...  Knowing that this too shall pass is a relief in and of itself- And had I taken the vicoden for it, I know that I would too soon become addicted to that as it, (dammitallanyway), just hurts that bad!   And so I am being stubborn and not taking it.  Maybe Santa will bring me a dentist? (And no, not the guy from Rudolph)!

And so, I gave up that fight... As I also gave it up yesterday as I had begun to write out my little cards.

Having taken a nasty spill polevaulting in the backyard about 5 and a half years ago, I have had many problems with my hands not working... (something about breaking my neck rings familiar on that matter). And my right hand has been nonfunctional and downright frustrating for the past year and a half...  Its thumb and index finger sorta stuck in the "hold~up" position; although the joints nearest my hand did work, the top bend/grasp has not.  (I have already gone through this twice with my left hand).

Image

This picture showing it 'stuck'...

Getting back to my letters and cards... I found out that it hurt so badly to even hold a pen... Not deterred, I began to write anyway- and to my horror, my penmanship was completely illegible. (Call me 'doctor'); it WAS that bad, and so I decided to wait until I can even hold a pen decent.  (You will ALL understand, won't you)?

Yet, in the middle of the night here, even my hand was killing me; and as I opened the fridge door, my hand tingled and throbbed. (What the ...)???  Upon closer inspection, I see that I can actually do this...

Image

This finger has not bent that joint of its own volition for almost 2 years...

You cannot know the pain of phalanges that do not/have not worked...  (That it almost made me forget about my stupid tooth)...  Almost...

And then, to my complete and utter amazement, I can do this too...

Image

and even through the godawful pain, those were tears of JOY, and nothing else!

I have been 'teased' with having them function again, but it has not happened. It's a veritable pain in the ***  to be trying to type too, (and I never was Speedy Gonzales in that aspect anyway)... I know I am just 'hoping' now, but I think it would be pretty fandamtastic to be able to type normally again, with ALL of my fingers!    Yet, since I am clearly bending them both, I need to believe that "this is it!"    That they are coming back once more...  As God as my witness,  I will suffer ANY pain that this might entail to have them return. (Right now it feels as though I have pummeled my hand with a sledge hammer)!

I am right~handed, and I have even had times where I have had KC writing out the bills because of my hen~scratching and all...  (And I know this is surely NOT life or death, but should you think of it, please say a little prayer that I am right in thinking they are coming back)!

THIS IS GOOD NEWS!!!!

AND I COULD EVEN DANCE ABOUT IT TOO!!!  But I don't want to scare the neighbors!

...And now you know the 'rest of the story' of tonights "wonderful, terrible" experience!

Yesterday then, having decided not to have to write in hieroglyphics on my Christmas cards I came back on here and had the most amazing 'laugh til ya die' communiques between CaseyAnne, and DeeAnne too. Too funny, and yet I could not keep up with their young wit and faster fingers.  I am glad that Casey will be coming home today- Seems she has been gone so long already...

Jenne and Aaron will be getting married on Wednesday, December 13th. And I would give almost anything to be able to attend... Call me "Doubting Thomas" here, but I would have liked to have seen the ceremony anyway. (And might I say that it's about time these girls are digging in and loving forever)!

I had almost given up hope; mostly because they have never seen ME happily married, (and I believe that is ever so important  to be setting the example of a good and solid marriage).  More importantly, given the fact that Jennifer and Aaron have been best friends throughout the past 7 years, they already know each others quirks etc etc etc...

Please wish them ALL the happiness and peace in the world!  For I surely do!

I also hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. (I think I am going to find that sledge hammer for my tooth)!!! hehehe    'ouch'

Will you have a WHITE CHRISTMAS???

Pets~Out of Harms Way... (Raisin Link Added)

Good Morning All!

First off, I am NOT going to be sifting through any doggie~doo~doo... If it passes, she will have no further problems; if it doesn't, then the vet must check out her insides. But I do not have to sort or sift or do anything yucky, other than having to go pick it up outside and move it out of any footpaths.

Which reminds me, bringing me to: "Once Upon a Time"...

...Late at night and after the girls had been put to bed for the night, I was writing in my little journals when, of a sudden, Roberta came downstairs...
Crying... ?
(No, SOBBING UNCONTROLLABLY)...
Putting my pen aside, and gathering this one and a half year old child in my arms, I asked her what was wrong?

(Now if you have ever held a gasping, hiccuping, crying, speaking toddler in your arms you know what I am talking about when I say she was a might difficult to understand).

Between her hiccups, I just kept asking her what was wrong.
Finally she said, "BUNNY!"
I said "What about the bunny?"
Off she went, crying again...
Quite literally, about 10 minutes later, (and after quite a lot of noise in the middle of a cold and previously quiet night), I finally learned that she had, indeed, swallowed a bunny.

A bunny???
WTH?!?
Where did the damned bunny come from???
It wasn't even close to Easter?!?!

Not having been enlightened in the least, I still had to know what the heck had happened, so I asked her to show me.
With the innocence of a small child, she opened her mouth as far as she could... (Um, yeah, that's not going to help)...

So she took me upstairs to her room...
She did a bit of digging around... and came up with her little piggy bank!!!

WTH x 2 now
The danged bunny had been stuck in a piggy bank?!!? (What the ...)?
When I asked her how the bunny got in there, she only started sobbing and hiccuping all over again.

Not wanting to waken Zoe and Jenne to this midnight madness, we went back downstairs...
Someone had to have kicked me in the backside for this, but the translation came to me.
The 'bunny' she had swallowed was in all actuality a 'penny'.
A quick call to Dr. Shea was in order, and he gave me much the same advice that the vet had given me this past Thursday...

"Wait and see."
(Easy for him to say, right)?
He also said that in the meanwhile, I should put the child to bed and try to not worry! (Sure Dr. anything you say)!

The 'bunny' passed with no further ado... And most fortunately for me, I didn't even have to dig for it- It was sitting there, gleaming, in the little potty chair she had! (The 'bunny' got flushed)!

Now fast forward to 2006 here-

The poinsettia above was brought to me last weekend.

It is, without a doubt the most HUGE poinsettia I have ever seen in my life, as it stands at least 3 feet tall! When Greg had dropped it off, I started laughing a bit at the enormity of it... But it is simply gorgeous!!! (And yes, it "should" be far enough out of Punks reach)!

For an (almost) complete list of plants, shrubs bulbs etc that will injure/kill your dog, please CLICK HERE. Print it out, and keep it closeby for future reference. And yes, grapes and raisins will shut down a dogs kidneys in record time. Please be extra careful when putting your snacks and hors' d'ouvres out for your Holiday Company if you have a housedog or cat.

Please know too, that DOGS and CATS are equally susceptible to these plants.

And then, there was the nice man that brought my Cub Cadet back with the little plow on it for me. Although I shall still call the snowplow for the major snows, (and still shovel the minor ones), I figured this would be excellent for clearing out the end of both driveways, and by the mailbox.

(The USPS gets so nasty if it is not cleaned out properlike). Grrr....

Get this... They will leave a notice in my box saying that I will not receive any mail until it is cleared out. How the heck does THAT work anyway??? Simple common sense would dictate that if they can leave the darned notice, then they could put my mail in the box too???

Speaking of the Postal Service, I did finally get to Suamico to collect my mail from the PO BX. Cards have arrived there also along with a nice surprise for me that wouldn't fit in the box! You kids are so cool; and now I am faced with the knowledge that I must really get my butt in gear and dive headlong into writing out my own cards!!! Yes, I will start that today!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!!!

LONG LIVE THE BUNNIES!!!!!

hehehe

XOXO
Anne
