Cartoon from here.

Good Morning Everyone!
I am reading that you all have had a "wunnaful" Easter weekend! I even got a card in the mailbox! (
Snail mail, not the inbox).

This card and letter from my birthmother- She is so good at writing letters and such.
I once was also, but when my hands went kaplooey that all stopped.
Casey and Greg had stopped in to see (birthmother) Donna and (her husband), Bob while they were in Milwaukee last month...

Donna and Bob will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on the 23rd. (It does my heart good to see real marriages last this long; through the good and the bad, and everything in~between.
They can still laugh together. (That says it all about happy marriages)!

Since I don't think I ever did post the pictures that Casey took while they were there, here they are now...
Gosh I have a crappy memory lately...

Donna and Bob own a tavern down in Milwaukee-  Each year for St Patrick's Day she makes 60 pounds of corned beef. (Each year she says "never again" and then makes it anyway).
They rarely, if ever, have any leftovers either! Yummy!
My sister, DeeDee, runs the bar- Money for her, (she's the one that lost her husband in 2008 to cancer).
Donna and Bob have 3 daughters. Kathy, DeeDee, and Shari.
Donna, having been married once before, also had a daughter, Patty, who died in 1976.
My sister Kris and I were the 2 given up for adoption.

This is SissyKrissiePoo!

Then they all took a well deserved break!
Kris treated us to lunch from Krolls West   YUM!
If you are ever in Green Bay, you have to eat here just once.
I guarantee you will want to go back.
Check out the autographed celebrity tiles on the walls too while you are there!

It was in the 70's that day-
Today it is raining and gloomy- a candle kind of day. But oh, how we need the rain!

I have much running around to do today, and will try to get all my errands done before I go back to the 'toe' doctor tomorrow.
YIKES!

I had given Kris a book, (which she forgot to take with her when she left). I will mail that out today. A few other stops too,. First will be to make my vote count.

Casey has an appointment for another UTI.
I'm beginning to think she will never be rid of those... She drinks lots of water, juices, etc, so everything should be working all right.
Perhaps it has something to do with her missing spleen?
Hmmm...

I'd better close and get on with my day.

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world?
Have a happy day!

XOXO

Three blondes died and found themselves standing before St. Peter He told them that before they could enter the Kingdom of Heaven, they had to tell him what Easter was.

The first blonde said, "Easter is the holiday where they have a big feast, give thanks and eat turkey."
St. Peter rolled his eyes, said, "Blondes,"and banished her to Hell.

The second blonde said, "Easter is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus and exchange gifts."
St. Peter said, "Wrong," and he banished her to Hell.

St. Peter looked at the third blonde and said, "OK  .. tell me."
She said, "Easter is a Christian holiday that coincides with the Jewish festival of Passover. Jesus was having Passover feast with His disciples when he was betrayed by Judas, and the Romans arrested him. The Romans hung Him on the cross and eventually He died. Then they buried Him in a tomb behind a very large boulder."
St. Peter was impressed. "Verrrrry good!!!" he said.
The blonde continued, "Now every year, they roll away the boulder, and Jesus comes out. If he sees his shadow, we have six more weeks of basketball."

hehehe

Love to all!

While the Roman Catholic sexual abuse scandal unfolds in Europe, the Catholic Church in the U.S. is under renewed scrutiny.

In the wake of its own scandal almost a decade ago, the U.S. church says it has reformed its policies for handling sexual abuse allegations and will remove from ministry every priest who is credibly accused of abuse.

But some of those priests are now being quietly reinstated. Read More...

How sick are all these stories? They have made the rounds for many years now- With each new story comes a deepening sickness in the pit of our souls.

I was born and raised Roman Catholic. (I even remember the Latin High Masses). While our Father M. Fetko was very very strange man, scary too, I don't think he was a pedophile. He was just a lunatic priest.

For many reasons I disassociated myself from the Catholic Church. To name a few:
  • I say my little prayers.
  • I do believe that much of which is in The Bible are true accountings.
  • I do not believe that the pope is infallible.
  • I do not believe I need to confess my sins to another mere mortal, unless I want to.
  • I can say nothing more in church than I can say at the side of my bed each night.
  • I do not believe that ANY baby is born with sin or in shame.
  • I DO believe that many people have more faith in their little finger than they are ever given credit for.

Ultimately, I lost a ton of respect for "the church" when they refused to baptize my CaseyAnne because her parents were not married.
... 'Sins of the fathers' and all that noisy crap

In the end, Casey was baptized Catholic at a church in Green Bay.
One of my neighbors has 2 mixed~race children (
aren't we all?). Sts Edward and Isisdore also refused to baptize her babies.

Much like myself, we do consider ourselves 'Christian', with open hearts and open arms toward all religions.

But those same arms would never embrace all the cover up stories the church has been telling.

Good Morning Everyone!
An already warm enough morning here- The above picture of the moon over the treeline was snapped when I went out to get my little dumpster out to the road. I thought is was very pretty...

Now, on to even more very very "pretty" ...

... Keeping in mind that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
(You have been warned)!

I had another MRI yesterday. (I will not have the results until next week).
But I can sure tell you what this one was all about...
My appointment was at 8:15-  Casey came along, as I take diazepam before I go in for my anxiety. Not a good thing to be driving around high as a kite.

Upon arrival I was given a questionnaire of everything from soup to nuts. (No soup, and no nuts).
They even ask what kind of music you want to listen to. The MRI machine is very noisy with its thumping and clunking and whirring. (Know that the headphones do not drown out those noises).
I was taken to the changing room, (pictured above).
I could keep my shirt on, minus the bra as it has metal in the clasps. My socks~n~undies also stayed on.

That doughnut hole is where I get slid in.
Darn good thing I can add a bit of self relaxation to the pill I'd taken.
(And a dry washcloth over my eyes too, to darken it even more).

Then came an hour and a half of laying flat on my back. (For me, this is the hardest part).
It is also why I feel so "out of alignment" today- (I'll simplify that- it hurts like hell).

And life goes on...

I'd better close for now-
Kris has just called and is on her way to help get the lawns taken care of. Casey will be coming out a bit later to help also!

Hope you enjoyed my 2nd MRI - (And I hope you enjoyed it more than I did too).

At least now you know you have nothing to fear if you ever need one.

Have a 'wunnaful' Wednesday! My love to all!

FBI Arrests Three in Raids on Militias

Official Says Suspects Face Gun Charges after Raids in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana

(AP)  The FBI said Sunday that agents conducted weekend raids in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio and arrested at least three people, and a militia leader in Michigan said the target of at least one of the raids was a Christian militia group.

Federal warrants were sealed, but a federal law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity said some of those arrested face gun charges and officials are pursuing other suspects.

FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold said there had been activity in two southeast Michigan counties near the Ohio state line. She wouldn't say whether they were tied to the raids in the other states.

FBI spokesman Scott Wilson in Cleveland said agents arrested two people Saturday after raids in two Ohio towns. A third arrest made in northeast Illinois on Sunday stemmed from a raid Saturday just over the border in northwest Indiana, both part of an ongoing investigation led by the FBI in Michigan, according to a statement from agents in Illinois.

George Ponce, 18, who works at a pizzeria next door to a home raided in Hammond, Ind., said he and a few co-workers stepped outside for a break Saturday night and saw a swarm of law enforcement.

"I heard a yell, 'Get back inside!' and saw a squad member pointing a rifle at us," Ponce said. "They told us the bomb squad was going in, sweeping the house looking for bombs."

He said another agent was in the bushes near the house, and law enforcement vehicles were "all over." He estimated that agents took more than two dozen guns from the house.

Michael Lackomar, a spokesman for the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Militia, said one of his team leaders got a frantic phone call Saturday evening from members of Hutaree, a Christian militia group, who said their property in southwest Michigan was being raided by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

"They said they were under attack by the ATF and wanted a place to hide," Lackomar said. "My team leader said, 'no thanks.' "

The team leader was cooperating with the FBI on Sunday, Lackomar said. He said SMVM wasn't affiliated with Hutaree, which states on its Web site to be "prepared to defend all those who belong to Christ and save those who aren't."

"We believe that one day, as prophecy says, there will be an Anti-Christ," the group's Web site said. "Jesus wanted us to be ready to defend ourselves using the sword and stay alive using equipment.

An e-mail sent to the group by The Associated Press wasn't returned Sunday, and phone numbers for the group's leadership were not immediately available. Berchtold, the FBI spokeswoman in Michigan, said she couldn't confirm if the raids were connected to Hutaree.

Lackomar said none of the raids focused on his group. Lackomar said about eight to 10 members of Hutaree trained with SMVM twice in the past three years. SMVM holds monthly training sessions focusing on survival training and shooting practice, Lackomar said.

In Michigan, police swarmed a rural, wooded property around 7 p.m. Saturday outside Adrian, about 70 miles southwest of Detroit, said Evelyn Reitz, who lives about a half-mile away. She said several police cars, with lights flashing, were still there Sunday evening and 15 to 20 officers were stationed in the area.

Neighbor Jane Cattell said she came home from the movies Saturday night and a helicopter was circling above, its spotlight illuminating her house. She and her sister, Sarah Holtz, wouldn't say who lived in the home but said they knew them from riding their horses past their house.

"They're your average, nice neighbors," Holtz said.

There were rumors about ties to a militia, but Holtz she knew nothing of that from her interaction with them.

One of the raids in Ohio occurred at Bayshore Estates, a trailer park in Sandusky, a small city on Lake Erie between Toledo and Cleveland, park manager Terry Mills said. Authorities blocked off the street for about an hour Saturday night, he said.

"Needless to say, this has everyone talking," said Mills, 62. "We have a lot of retirees here who don't want all this commotion."

Mills said he didn't know the identity of the person arrested.

FBI agents in Ohio also made an arrest in Huron on Saturday night, Wilson said. No further information would be released until after they appeared in court Monday, he said.

Long Week

Good Morning All;
I have been up since midnight- Falling asleep watching TV, and waking with a kink in my neck. Been reading ever since.
My dear friend Peachie had commented a while back that she wondered how awful life would be for us if we didn't/couldn't read? I cannot even begin to imagine! Around my house there are books and books and books and...  Then there are boxes and boxes of books upstairs too.  Even though I have not read them all, life would be so boring without them. Life would be very nondescript if one didn't have access to the internet, where ever you choose to go on here.
...My little opinion anyway.

I have a distinct opinion on going to the dentist too. I think we all do!
.
.

Cnv0297
Note that plastic smile...
.
.
.
I had one of these in the back...  OW!  Cnv0299
It's the same one that was hurting me so badly when Casey had those last 2 surgeries.  At least now we know how long that Temparin lasts. (I'd mentioned my toothache over a month and a half ago)! The Temparin is all gone now. So's the tooth, never to pain me again!
.
.
On the way there, Casey saw the neatest chemtrails in the sky-
.
.
Cnv0300
Always makes me wonder how close these planes had come to each other-
.
.
Then she spotted one of the planes too-.
.
.
Cnv0301
Great shot, Casey Face!
.
.
My mouth is just fine for now. I do need some work, but will live.
I also think it would be nice to have dentures- No more toothaches- EVER.
Mom and Dad both had dentures, and I never heard them complain.
hehehe

Punk and I did get back to the woods-

For whatever reason, Punk feels she must wait for me...
.
.
Cnv0260
She keeps me on my toes with these looks of hers, "Sheesh! C'Mon already!"
.
.
She stopped to sniff this old squash
.

.
Cnv0261
I had NO idea what is was, even from only 10 feet away- Just looked icky.
(I don't think Punk knew either).

And she was off once again! I watched her disappear down the gully; and by the time I finally caught up, she was nowhere to be seen...
.
.
Cnv0262
Hmmm   I do not know why the trees and such came out blue?!?
.
.
As we came back up the trail, I realize I am hoping that this snowmobile trail will not be open anymore this year.

Cnv0258
The SnoBirds Club will be along in the next few weeks to retrieve their signs.

Cnv0296
Punk dreams of meeting the animal that lives in this one!  hehehe
.

Even with walking, there has to be time for playing too.
.
.
Cnv0277
So far we have uncovered about 3 toys that were lost in Winter.

.
.
My sister will be coming to help get the gravel and dirt out of the lawns. Thank You Kris!  I had written to her "
It is hard work, (dirty too), and I cannot pay you, but I would be more than happy to feed you."
To whit, she replied "Dirty, unpaid work?  Hmmmm,  ok."
Still laughing at that!

I had an appointment with my spine doctor last week- I have to have another MRI as he is thinking that I may have an additional fracture or two. That is scheduled for next week.  I told him I SO wanted to have a garden this year- He didn't think that was going to be possible, but seeing my face, he added quickly that it will depend upon the MRI and how much pain I have. Tough to lie about that if the MRI is going to contradict me. hehehe

I'd better close for now- Time for Punks breakfast, and maybe for us both to nap a bit!

Hope you are having a 'wunnaful' weekend!

Independence Day Quiz

Hi all!
Am typing this up on 3-28-2010. Wonder if the postdated times really do work? hehehe

I have just stolen this from Peachies friend, Bob...

***

The 4th of July is the time when we celebrate our nation-- a time to reflect on the freedoms which we believe are not granted by our government, but are self-evident rights for all humankind.  Time for the Independence Day Quiz which asks,  "How much do you really know?"  Every day thousands leave their homelands to settle here in the land of the free.  Before they become citizens they are required to take a citizenship test and score 80%.  Could you pass this test if you took it today?

Our quiz is made up of 20 questions which were once used on the actual citizenship test.

We've added a few curveballs-- The last ten questions may be a bit harder, but a score of around 24 out of 30 is considered a passing grade

ARF! (And we ALL know what that means)!

Yep. It's me, Punk.
Nice to see you all here.

My "she" is busy elsewhere, and I heard her say something about writing a blog today, so I thought I would beat her to it... (So far so good).
My Casey is still sleeping...

My birthday is tomorrow! I will be 4 whole years old.

Too bad things aren't looking too good for a present.
I already got in trouble this morning.
I went outside to take care of my business- As I was peeing, I saw something in my mama's old kennel. I finished killing the ungrown grass, and then 'pointed'.
Shhh... Holy Cow! There was another Sputty there!  I was as still as I could be.
He looked at me.  I looked at him.  He sized up me.  I sized up him... arf ♫

My "she" said 'GO!'
So off I went, running fast after this bum...
And behind me all the while I hear her saying 'go' 'go' 'go'.
Then she uses my middle name. In case ya forgot, my middle name is "Dammit."
I heard that and knew I was in trouble. I stopped just for a second, thinking Uh~Oh. (The other Sputty gets away, -Grrrrr-).

I made a misteak thinking she'd said "GO!" (Turns out 'she' was sayin' "NO" all along).

Now I am mad too.

Bad enough that I haven't had a decent bone in forever.
Bad enough that all those things with feathers are here and I can't catch 'em.

Bad enough that I gotta share everything, (and all the cat shares is his claws).

Then the other day, the little one said Sput could come along for a ride even!

.
.

Cnv0291
That's NOT fair! And he stole my way back seat!
.
.
Then he came by me- I had to be good. That darn cat even tried stealin' MY pillow!

Worried, and I tried to get my she to look at me.
.
.
Cnv0298
But 'she' was driving- and my little one had the picture thingie.
.
.
OK.  It wasn't so bad...
.
.

Cnv0294
I kinda even had fun.
'Cepting when Sput went waaaaay up in the front, (and I can't fit there).

.
.
Cnv0293
He's just a dumb ole cat ya know.
.
.
It's been real nice outside on my paws.
One day when we was outside, my she found these.
.
.
Cnv0273
She says they are big this year...
.
.
.
Cnv0275
And she sez there are LOTS of them too...
.
.
.
Cnv0274
She sez too that she thinks they are 'SO purty"
.
.
.
Cnv0276
I just sat in the shade and watched her-

She looked like she didn't know what to do with them.  BUT I SURE DID!
.
.
.
.
.
Cnv0271
They are kinda tasty too!  Hard yet to get off the wood sticks-
They won't be so hard in a day or so.
.
.
My she has a hole that she goes into.
And I hafta stay out and just watch...
.
.
Cnv0286
I am always happy when she comes back outta that big hole.
There is a big noise down there that I always hear after she goes down there.
It kinda scares me.  I wait anyway. She sez I can't go in because there's too much I can't get into. (Like that big old hole I guess).
She sez she won't hafta be crawlin' down there in a little while cuz someone else is coming to fix it. (Whatever "it" is).
.
.

Cnv0284
.
.

I'd better go.
I hafta go upstairs and wake up the little one now. (I gotta do everything)!

A big old ARF! to all.
May your bowls always be full!
-And may your cat pals try not to run with the big dogs.

Love, Punk
